Glad to hear you're still a fan of Legendary Encounters: Alien - it was your review from back in the day which convinced me to pick it up recently. And it is still super fun!
@@gregorys9629 Great Game!
Going WAYYYYYYY back in the time machine for this one. I was in middle school when you made this list lololol
@@MagicMan508 Fantastic!
Still love Imperial Assault. The "Imperial Commander" app that makes all the campaigns playable cooperatively or solo is a godsend.
@@ryandude3 I never played it with the app. Perhaps I should.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer I highly recommend it! Since they've ported in all the official content, they just started adding in custom campaigns and characters too. Great stuff.
@@ryandude3 Which app is this? Is it the FFG Imperial Assault app or a different one?
2014 was in the past and the past is before the present. The present is now so 2014 games will be different from games now and more like games in the past. We can’t play games in the past, because it has passed, but we can play games in the present. Therefore we should play games in the present.
@@wartable Lol.
Commendable 😅
We must play games, unburden by our losses.
@@LetsTH-camThanks 🤣
Thanks Cody - enjoyed this look back videos!
I wanted to ask, with your professional and personal interest in military conflict why don’t you play many (or at least discussion and making videos about) hex and counter, military and strategy war games? I have watched a few videos where you have brushed up against them (e.g. Churchill, Paths of Glory etc) but do not see a lot of them? From games like Traces of Hubris from VUCA (simpler hex and counter war game) to many of GMT COIN games (British Way I heard is good) to more complex games like The US Civil War (GMT Games)?
Is it time vs enjoyment and people to play with? If so, I get it. In saying that I think all that I have mentioned above are not too complex and you would probably enjoy.
@@Mopar66VC Sometimes it’s hard to find people to play with for the more complex games. Plus, the time to learn them can be prohibitive. I’d like to hit more, but at the pace I review games i don’t know that it’s in the cards.
Congratulations on a decade!
Xia is on my top 10 all time. Love that game.
@@keithr9640 Thanks!
Nice one, Cody! Any interest in Europa Universalis: The Price of Power?
@@jankogo You mean this: th-cam.com/video/OznH1lk8ChQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8xfiragUYFXZiMmV
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Yup. Nice!
I still have a bunch of sealed figures, and one of the tile packs for Golem Arcana.
@@FearMyGuitar Fun game, but it didn’t survive.
Absolutely love Imperial Assault. Have everything (except the cartoon stuff) and am still not finished painting it.
@@jedidalek I’ll bet painting it is a task. Great game.
Still love watching your reviews! You've helped keep the hobby alive for me Cody so thank you!
@@anaximander66 Thank you. Happy to help.
Men of Mayhem is SO underrated. I’m glad to see it still get some love (and I guess I have to look for Wiseguys)
@@alankingsley2916 It’s a great game, and Wise Guys is even better.
Had you played Xia with the expansions when you previously owned it? If not, I would highly recommend just mixing it all in and playing with everything! We will never go back to the base game and have played it at least 15-20 times in the last few years. Fun list as always!
@@-RTC- Never played it with expansions but I have ordered the expansions with my pledge. Looking forward to it. Thanks.
@@TheDiscriminatingGamer Can’t wait for you to play it!
I can't wait to get Xia in. I backed their newest game Arrydia and then also added Xia along with all of it's expansions. My group loves these type of games (Firefly is a big one for us) so I had been wanting to get Xia forever.
@@donnieinman8049 Yeah, looking forward to getting Xia back, and Firefly awesome, too.
Noticed the other day the designer of Imperial Assault has another Star Wars game coming out very soon. The Mandalorian: Adventures It's a contender for my next game(comes out in my Birthday month)
I quite like the look of the graphic novel book gameboard of the Mandalorian but no sure about the game mechanics. Hopefully you be doing a review of The Mandalorian Adventures in the near future.
@@eatingweevils Stay Tuned!
xia it's beautiful in the table
@@hatchimmmmm Indeed.
I have the Golem Acana haven't played in a while & Legendary Aliens.
@@douglaspearson4853 Good Games.
Star Realms on the toilet.
@@hausser3024 Yup! Good times!
No war-Games Cody !
@@Kili121416 2014. It was a simpler time.
