That was Axl Rose in the studio one day with the drummer's GF apparently. And with regards to the subject of he song - from Axl himself - I wrote this song for this girl who was gonna have a band and she was gonna call it Rocket Queen. She kinda kept me alive for a while. The last part of the song is my message to this person, or anybody else who can get something out of it. It's like there's hope and a friendship note at the end of the song. For that song there was also something I tried to work out with various people-a recorded sex act. It was somewhat spontaneous but premeditated; something I wanted to put on the record." Axl Rose, for the longest time, had the widest range for any vocalist. He has sung notes that would span from the second-lowest octave in scientific pitch notation, F1 on the low end (There Was a Time - from the album "Chinese Democracy"), to a B flat 6 on the high end(Ain't it Fun - from the album "The Spaghetti Incident?"), and sometimes above it.
Rose has a lower baritone than Barry White and can reach higher notes than Tina Turner and Beyoncé even Mariah. Pretty much 6 octaves.

When Axl said I'm a sexual innuendo he meant you can rearrange the letters from the word oral sex and spell Axl Rose.

Yes, one of my favorites. My best friend in high school got a tattoo based on this song! This is them rocking out, which I prefer over their ballad songs. Great reaction!!!! With regards to the metaphor, maybe it's about both. Maybe about sex and drugs and damage done unintentionally and intentionally while under influence of drugs and/or heat of the moment.

Interesting theory on the metaphor thing. I’ve always figured it was about the women in their lives when they were broke (they had stripper friends) the strippers would take care of them, feed them, get them drugs, did everything for them. So the ending was the softer side of that relationship where as the beginning is the more upfront part. However, I like the idea of it being a metaphor. I’ll have to actually read the lyrics to pick up on it, but nice spot by you!
