In Slash's book, he said Axl asked this girl to let him record them together and put it on the song. So in that context she was allegedly aware. What complicated matters was... she was drummer Steven Adlers girlfriend at the time... and that was problematic for him
You can find the vid(s) where she discusses it. There's also a mini documentary on the girls (working on the Strip at the time) who put the guys up on their way up talk all about it. The one who Rocket Queen was written for (not the Big O girl) was kinda the leader of the pack. I think it's called "The Girls Behind Guns n Roses" or something like that. Extremely entertaining.
One of my fav bridges in all of music………”I see u standing, standing on your own…….its such a lonely place for u to be, if u need a shoulder or u need a friend I’ll be here standing to the bitter end”. Absolutely killer.
The girl with Axl in the pics is THE Rocket Queen ( she called herself that and had a band) LA Scene Queen ( sadly I forget her name) he was deeply in love with her The sex noises were Steven’s girlfriend
@@sloanlove1994 Barbi Von Grief (Or Greif idk) was who the song's about, Axl used to say all the time in the early shows that she saved his life, guess she was busy. The noises were Adriana Smith, she was with Steven for a time but I doubt he cared much about Axl getting with her
They both knew, it was recorded in the studio and according to even Adriana Smith, Axl set an as private and intimate setting as possible w candles and privacy curtains etc.... Adriana was a friend of the band and was the current gf of Steven Adler(drummer). She claims she did come to eventually regret the recording when she got older but it was her decision to make... and it was never something used against her by the band or viewed negatively... that was the reality of the gritty sleazy lifestyle of the streets and it still is... that's why these songs resonate today as strongly as then with people in the same situations...
Guns n' Rose's is my favorite band since they came out when I was in high school. I was naive when it came to some lyrics. It hasn't changed how I feel about them. They are one badass group.
This song is what got me into playing bass in the same style as Duff McKagan! If you like Guns N Roses you should check out Velveteen Queen! Its a young band from sweden bringing back the Rock to the music scene!
It was consensual and understood it was going on the recording. It took a bunch of Jack Daniel’s to loosen up but was on the up and up. The shitty thing is she was the drummers girlfriend and he did t know till he heard it.
I don't know if you know this, but that scream behind the scenes is actually Axl Rose and drummer Steven Adler's girlfriend Adriana Smith, in real action. And Axl recorded it and used the audio in the song.
This is one of my favorite GNR songs. I love it when songs change things up and move into different directions. GNR did a wonderful job bridging the gap between the popular 80's hair metal bands and less popular metal bands. Fans of both genres were able to like GNR without seeming lame to their peers.
I kind of always forget they got those moans in the bridge of this song haha. I think that the rest of the song is great, especially the last part after the breakdown with Axl’s amazing vocals and that emotionally felt solo. Great stuff
One of my favorite Guns N' Roses songs. I heard this in the 80's and I knew the sounds were there. You should check out their Use Your Illusion albums. Lots of great lyrics and stuff on those albums.
Check out "Live in Tokio", one of the best GNR concerts, this song is awesome, as well as "Don't Cry, November Rain, Nightrain, Bad obsession... “Civil War” Live in Paris is equally terrific
Quite a bit of the footage on this video is from their live show on MTV 1988 at The Ritz One of my favorite of their concerts to watch You should check it out
I believe it was either 87 or 1988 when I seen them at the bayfront center in st Pete fl which is no longer they opened for motley crew and I was truly there to see guns. It was general admission and I was 2 rows of packed people back getting the crowd crush didn’t care. Every time the crowd moved I could pick my feet up and move with them. It smelled like pot puke and nasty sweat mixed with alcohol. But it was one of the best times I ever had!!!!
It's great seeing OLD footage I've never seen before. They have a concert Live at the Ritz where you can listen to this raw/live back in the day. This seems to be a film clip they created. I learned they made a Video Clip for It's so Easy which was never released for it was too sexual in the day. The clip of the girl dancing maybe from that.
Sei sempre troppo simpatica nelle tue reaction! Sapevo che quel pezzo della canzone ti avrebbe sorpresa! Questi sono i Guns, puro divertimento! Rock 'n Roll!
that artwork shown briefly with the woman with her underwear down was the ORIGINAL album cover artwork for appetite for destruction but it was too obscene for the times.
Inna, they were YOUNGER than u in this video. Hell, every video from Appetite for Destruction they are early to mid 20’s. Amazing chemistry and band. U are pretty cute when u are embarrassed, Inna:)
This is a great song from the good old Gn'R. And a funny reaction to it. You should check a book called "Watch you bleed". It's a whole story of the band from a very beginning to the breakdown after Illusions-tour. There is also explained backrounds of this song and many others.
Adriana Smith was the girl moaning and having sex in the studio, but the song is not about her. It´s about Barbie Von Grief, Axl´s girlfriend and the leader of a female band called Rocket Queen. He has she tattooed on his right arm.
A really good fun sounding Live performance of a Guns N Roses song by them you should react to would be "Move to the City" Live in Japan at Tokyo Dome 1992. Definitely should check that out for sure.
I like those spicy reactions I recommend knocking on heavens door tribute to Freddy Mercury or nightrain live Tokyo You could be mine official video yesterday since don't have you civil War.🔥🔥🔥Thanks good vibes 💚💛❤️
I love your reactions :) Please react to more GnR songs. They have more awesome songs. Yes, Adriana Smith was 100% aware of her "noise" being recorded for the song, at the time. Axl has always been creative, unique, and at at times also very spicy! In this case, he even went as far as this with Steven Adler's (GnR's drummer, at the time) girlfriend, in the recording studio, for artistic purposes. I was unaware of this when I first heard the song so many years ago (It was 1990, I was 13 at the time, lol), but at the time I was very naive, so I did not realize what Adriana Smith "vocals" were, until I was a little older & a little less naive, lol. Rocket Queen is an awesome song. The song itself was written about a different girl, and I like that Axl wrote it with true affection. I tend to listen to its live versions (where Adriana Smith is not featured, haha), but once in a while I go back to the album recording. Also yes, Adriana Smith is one of the girls you saw in the video.
'THAT JUMP' Was on the most iconic moments in the history of Guns n Roses.. It was during 'Rocket Queen' at their 1991 tour in St. Louis. It turned into the Riverport Riot: Axl was VERY protective of footage of the band. Only 'own' camera people were allowed to shoot shows: you couldn't bring a camera and professional photographers were placed all the way in the back of the stadium/field. During Rocket Queen, Axl saw a guy with a camera, so he demanded the security to take that. To Axl's liking, it took too long, so he jumped into the crowd to get the camera. When he came back on stage he said 'Thanks to the lame-ass security, I’m going home' and smashed the microphone into pieces.. After they left, a major riot broke out; with hundreds of injuried people. In their artwork on the Use Your Illusion album, it features a message: Fuck You, St. Louis!; and Axl wore 'St. Louis sucks' t-shirts during their tour. Axl was later arrested (in Italy, btw) for causing the riot and GnR didn't play in Missouri till 2017.
Yes he was :) I actually made a video documenting the whole thing if you’re curious Slash ft. Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators | Concert Reaction & Vlog (Milan - 22nd April 2024) th-cam.com/video/qd3Nkla1kg0/w-d-xo.html 😊
Rocket Queen- written about a friend of Axl who wanted to form a band called Rocket Queen. The studio version- Steven's girlfriend at the time is the voice of the Rocket Queen, Axl and Slash were at the studio with her and Axl got the idea to record himself and her doing it. She was all for it. Credits are given to the "fucking engineer" who helped set the mics up.
Early Guns N Roses were absolutely BADASS
"Apetite for destruction "is one the best Albums in Rock n roll history. "Rocket Queen" is just kickin' ass !!!!!!!!!!
In Slash's book, he said Axl asked this girl to let him record them together and put it on the song. So in that context she was allegedly aware. What complicated matters was... she was drummer Steven Adlers girlfriend at the time... and that was problematic for him
Considering Adler had to play this song almost every night with that knowledge, yeah I imagine he'd b pissed. Not Axls finest moment.
He was fing Steven girl
It's was only Axl with her not anyone else
Nah Steven Adler didn't care it was just a girl he dated for a bit BEFORE and he didn't care. That's a false narrative
This is guns n roses, not a tickling competition!
I love these comments bro😆
The most dangerous band in the world
…or was it Motley Crue? 🤔
wdym?
@@nitro_001newman2 of course the most dangerous was Motley Crue
You've clearly never heard of Suicidal Tendancies, which had an entire violent street gang dedicated to them.
One of my fav bridges in all of music………”I see u standing, standing on your own…….its such a lonely place for u to be, if u need a shoulder or u need a friend I’ll be here standing to the bitter end”. Absolutely killer.
Agreed, Godamn what a bridge! I LOVE this song!

Agree 💯🤘💪

Live At The Ritz NY 1988...great show
Guns n roses. Rock.
This song is what got me into playing bass in the same style as Duff McKagan! If you like Guns N Roses you should check out Velveteen Queen! Its a young band from sweden bringing back the Rock to the music scene!
Legendary and beautiful song!!!
This song has a great groove!Your reactions,in general are hilarious!!!
This is Guns N Fkn Roses
This is my favorite song of all time 🖤
Yes the girl was aware and agreed. He asked her...
I imagine her reaction if it was the Tokyo version with those "test good" verses
8:18 i believe thats when axl dove into the crowd to fight a photographer who he didn't want taking his pic
Right after that the riot happened during the concert.
It was consensual and understood it was going on the recording. It took a bunch of Jack Daniel’s to loosen up but was on the up and up. The shitty thing is she was the drummers girlfriend and he did t know till he heard it.
Let's get into it. Shocker. Nice fun reaction to a nice live video of a beautiful song by GnR!
This was my first CD, when I was 6 years old...
I don't know if you know this, but that scream behind the scenes is actually Axl Rose and drummer Steven Adler's girlfriend Adriana Smith, in real action. And Axl recorded it and used the audio in the song.
This song sure does have a good appetite 🤣🤣

She was well aware. It happened in the recording studio.
Hi beautiful this is GNR not all radio friendly albums after appetite for destruction
Check out "Live in Tokio", one of the best GNR concerts, this song is awesome, as well as "Don't Cry, November Rain, Nightrain, Bad obsession...
“Civil War” Live in Paris is equally terrific
"It's So Easy" - is the next spicy yet natural progression after "Rocket Queen" to react to
Took me a sec to realize this is just the studio done over the "Live at the Ritz" performance lol
It's totally appropriate though, as they did the same thing with Paradise City for their official MV
GNR my teen years
You are lucky

This song is great, but the version is the Tokio one...
Congratulations for your channel and saluts from Brazil...
I saw GnR open for Aerosmith in 1989 and they blew Aerosmith away. That was before all drama with Axle so I am glad I saw them when I did
7:55 yes that is the girl, but it's not the guy LOL

Would've been legendary to be at this Ritz show. This is when they were young and hungry.
5:33 Very good 🤣🤣🤣🤣😝😌😏
What a great ending to a great album. Wow.
While I can only take G&R in small does, this was a really stellar album closer.
The cutest reaction video on TH-cam...
Literally can't stop watching your Rock reactions ❤
Eastern Europeans are fascinating...
My favorite song!🤘
6:50 yes, she knew. And there were more than 2 People jajaj 😂
I have seen Guns at the old dome in ATL on the lifetime tour but Slash with MK and the Cons in ATL twice in small clubs was awesome.
Yes both sides did it for the band everything’s cool😂
She was a groupie and the drummer's girlfriend Adriana Smith that Axl did the deed and recorded it! She is famous for it and yes she approved it!
🤣😆😅😂 that's Rock!!!!!
Takes me back to 1988
they have roses but have guns too, accept or go away.
