This is part 1 of a series of videos I did using fabric on the cards. I show you several different ways to use fabric, including how to adhere it to the paper and how to cut.
There are so many possibilities with fabric. It’s very similar to how you use DSP or designer series paper.

I'm old enough to remember when Wonder Under first came out...a miracle for those of us sewing appliques onto sweatshirts and T shirts!! I always have several yards on hand...well worth every penny paid! Beautiful cards!!
Being a sewer ,a quilter I have collected alot of material. And also added card making,paper crafts to my sewing room. Now i can use bunch of my materials to my cards

I have been using fabrics for card making for at least 30 years. It increases your choices and creativity exponentially!
Are you using Wonder Under, too, for your fabric? Do you have any advice about using glue on the front of the card to attach sentiments? Will glue hold the sentiments on securely?

I enjoyed your presentation. I have been making cards for 20 years and am looking for new ideas. Being a quilter, crafty girl, tole painting, you name it.. Congratulations for sharing your ideas.
I started my card making with fabric! I did not have colored or pretty printed paper, but had lots for fabric! I would take fabric with flowers or prints and prepare the wonder under as you did. Then I would fussy cut an image, remove the other size of the wonder under and iron it on to white Cardstock. This was back in the late 80’s...and my favorite image was bears....they came out too cute!!!

Amazing! Love it!
Oh this brings back memories. I used to do this but used freezer paper on the back of my material just to give it body then bonded it to card stock for the background with adhesive. I used to cut out figures from material after putting on the freezer paper and used them for scene cards. So much fun.

Brandy, I just love this idea, and would you believe I actually have these same batiks in my fabric stash as I was (am) planning to make my granddaughters a quilt someday. Actually sooner than planned as it seems as my eldest granddaughter surprised me today with the news that she is having a baby, can you believe it.!! I am going to be a great-grandma this Christmas... holy cow I am so happy and so very proud of her. I think I will use your idea and make some cards with the batik fabric that I have... I can't wait. I'm a quilter and a mask maker and I keep calling the DSP in the occasions catalog and the mini Christmas catalog fabric! Most of my card making friends also sew, so they just laugh at me and then correct me. I see you went right for the batiks!! My favorite fabric! Pellon products rock. Their wonder under is the best.

These are so cute! I usually use freezer paper for this technique and then I put it all through a die cutter to make fabric cuts to adhere onto cards, but this is easier!

Love the fabric. It's beautiful and makes a great card. Congrats on your milestone! Mounting the stickers this way is a game changer. I saw this technique a while back and it's so easy! One thing I do differently is I place my stamp face down with the foam facing up. Then I turn the block over and hover over my stamp to line up and press down. Give that a try too!
