Great ideas. It also works with an adhesive sheet with cardstock and then run it though an embossing folder. It really seals the material to the cardstock & looks fabulous. ❤
Lovely cards! Here's a helpful tip: If you use a teflon sheet when ironing your fabric to your card stock and envelope, you won't have to worry about your iron or the ironing board getting melted glue all over it. Also you can use a heavier fusible fabric interface instead which will stabilize your fabric and then you can just glue it to your card stock. The glue will not seep through the interface. This is a technique used in hard cover books. It will be more cost effective than wonder under. 💜😃
Wow - like the saying goes ‘What’s old is new again’. I recall first making these type of cards with fabric about 21 years ago. Brandy these cards are beautiful.
Oh Brandy...Dang CUTE cards!!!!!!!!!! I love them! You found some really beautiful fabrics! Amazing! I'll have to give this a try...I know some friends who will really appreciate and enjoy receiving them! Thanks SO much for sharing this! Blessings!
Beautiful. On your bee card I would have fussy cut the beehive out and put dimensionals behind it and put it on the card. I love all your ideas. You can also use Modge podge to adhere fabric to card stock. Put modge podge on card stock thick, let dry completely. Then iron on your fabric. 😊
I like the cards with the sunflowers where the flower is in full view. Then adding the sentiment that is not covering any of the focal flower. I have purchased plates covered in decorative fabric at a craft show many, many years ago. As you say, there are so many good choices at the fabric store to use for this type of project. But for me, I prefer using designer paper for my cards. But if I saw these at a craft show, I might be tempted to buy some of the fabric cards or plates!
I love how you showed the entire process so clearly. I have heard of the fabric cards, but I wasn’t aware of how they were made. They are beautiful! Thank you for such a great tutorial. My first visit. Looking forward to my next, etc. Merry Christmas🫶🎄
I loved the blue and green ones but really almost all equally. Would be a great gift set for someone. Love the technique as well that I can try with other things.
Nice tutorial on this 🎉🎉Older product it’s so great to see a new of discovering and using wonder under! It is found in fabric store interfacing departments at Jo Ann’s!
So many great ideas and comments. I used Wonder Under since the 70's when I had a fabric store. I use a sandwich of Parchment baking paper whenever I use an iron on any Freezer paper, wax paper, napkins etc. Nothing sticks to it. Then it doesn't get glue on my ironing board or iron. I plan to try Wonder Under on mesh fabric next. I am tired of going outside to spray adhesive on my cardstock for these and never know how well they are going to hold or dry.
TFS this great technique to use fabric on cards & envelopes! 😊 As I quilt & stamp, this is another great crafting crossover!! They make applique pressing sheets I place under & over anything with fusible adhesive that I'm pressing 😊
Thank you for this video! I was hoping you could make cards with fabric! I am very new to card making! My daughter lives in Concord! If you do another crafting weekend there (or any day) again, I would love to be notified! She would enjoy it too!
Oh my, so beautiful! I missed the live but I watched the replay. I have some Christmas fabric that would look great as a card. Thanks for the inspiration.
Brandy, great video. I made cards when you did a video 3 years ago, using fabric on cards. Love all the fabrics you used. I made 3 of the fabric backed plates and greeting cards to match. Thank you for the great ideas.
Brandy hi. I haven't been crafting for 3 or4 years now but I've been watching your videos lately and I'm in love again. There are so many new products I really would like a catalog to know where to begin.
Hi Cindy, Oh My Goodness!! I will for sure tell her in the morning. Thank you for stopping by and for joining me. I hope you all is well in your neck of the woods. :)
Thanks for the reminder of how to do the cards. I haven't done those for awhile and had almost forgot how to do them. So thanks for the reminder! I also love the plates. I had to order mine online ( the store didn't have any). I've made 12 of them. Plus I made a label for the back to remind them of how to take care of the plates. Thanks again.
very entertaining watching you discuss the fusible! I'm a quilter so it's an everyday thing for me but I'd never thought of trying to tell someone who'd never used it before all about it! The cards are awesome, love the idea of making a set as a gift. You might like to get a wool ironing pad to have handy with your craft iron rather than the sleeve board. It lies flat on your counter & comes in MANY sizes ex 8"x8" and up. Enjoyed your video. I'll go find the plate one now!
I’ve made a few cards using card stock and fabric on my sewing machine. Love what you do with wonder under which I have a whole bolt of it! Think I will give your method a try! Thank you for sharing your craft. All these cards are so cute!
Oh Brandy I think you’re the most wonderful demonstrator out there. I love those cards I watch that first video with the animals when you did that years ago and I’ve been making fabric cards ever cents and I’ve been using napkins also in the same way almost in the same way, thank you for all your cleverness and for you passing it on and to remind us that how awesome you are have a very merry Christmas
I’ve had this idea in mind for a while, but wasn’t sure how to marry the paper to my fabric. I totally forgot about interfacing!!! Thanks! Much easier than trying to decoupage it to cardstock ( which is what I was thinking about trying).
I kinda forgot about adding fabric to cards. I used to do a lot of quilting and taught classes. I have A LOT of fabric. Have to add this to my list of "TO DO" . This is a good use to use a FAT QUARTERS of material, and they are cheap to get. You can have a lot of choices too. Thanks for sharing.
Great ideas. It also works with an adhesive sheet with cardstock and then run it though an embossing folder. It really seals the material to the cardstock & looks fabulous. ❤
Beautiful card...so much fun! I keep a Quilter's Cut'n Press on my craft table 24/7 and can't wait to start making cards with fabric. 😃

What a beautiful card idea! I have lots of fabric scraps in my craft room left over from sewing face masks during Covid I can use for this technique.
What a great way to use up extra materials. ❤
That's a brilliant idea 💡 👏 🥰
Many of us sew and have left over scrap fabric and this is a great use for it. I tried felt and it works also.
