I must say its easier to watch a complete brake job than it is to do one excellent work I'm working one a 1966 K20 and I'm not looking forward to building brake lines love your videos you are an inspiration to me that I can tackle things similar to get my old truck back on the road. Thanks

Had my wife help me bleed the brakes, she was pushing the pedal to the firewall & nothing was happening climbed out from underneath the car and realised she was pumping the gas pedal!

That's hilarious . A friend told me , years ago he had an old Pontiac , don't remember the model . It broke down somewhere , so he took his wife , went to the car ,fixed it and had his wife drive it home . When he got it home he realized something was wrong with the motor , it was blown , he thought she could drive stick , she couldn't .It was a 4spd. and she never took it out of first gear .

Always look forward to your videos. Lot of the mechanical work you do crosses over to other vehicle’s. I’ve got a ‘69 SS Chevelle I need to do the same to it.

After fitting line 1531+ times on the short line 😂 it must of been a million times easier to install them on the chassis at the factory than replacing them on an assembled vehicle, did my Dmax last year what a pain

Funny how you make it look so easy sir. The other thing is how every nut just comes undone like nothing. I did my front lines on my 79 C-10 & with awesome shty luck every thing broke. I told my C-10 how it going to get crushed & made into box springs & bed rails I also learned me some new Cuss words in different tongues. Had to wait a few days to finish due to getting my yearly test on my pacemaker O well now that I finished I can't get fluid to flow to the lines. I was told to replace the Master cylinder hopefully that's what's wrong now. Bueno sir from TX. standing by for the next video.

Hi Gib. Im 65 years old and been turning wrenchs since i was 16 years old. I swear everytime I see one of your vids I learn something new. I like how you used a box end wrench to get your bend on your brake hard line, brilliant brother! This sort of thing is why these vids are so important to us truck guys that love the hobby and do our own work.

Thanks again for the great lesson on this time BRAKE LINES.Ill be getting to mine soon on 61' and 62'. They're really not that complicated just time consuming up and down. Loved the wrench technique for bending the line. Oh and wrong way to loosen, yeah, we've all done that a time or two. Liked you didn't edit it out cause we all do make mistakes. 😊 I just bought a used 61' big back window cab, doors, hood for $500 for my Apache Stepside. Im applying all your lessons to memory to use on my build. Thanks for sharing and all you do Mr. Steve Gibson. Love your lessons. Keep em coming Truck Driver Ray . Oh and beautiful dog. Blessings to you and your family ✝️

Nice job on the brakes. Hadnt thought of grinding the rivets off to remove the drum. Usually just pull the outer bearing and take off the hub with it. Keep on keepin on!

That's what I've been doing since 2016 on my 63 C10 front drums when replacing brake shoes, as I get older those old brake drums get very heavy, so I'm grinding off those cold rivets this summer finally🎉...
      It's going to be fun...

Nice to see you using the “cotton picker tooth” punch on the drum rivets. Still use mine and it’s over 50 years old. I’m surprised the drums were still useable.

It almost seems like someone was wanting to pull the Engine at one time with the Trany Z-Bar part's, Exchust Manifold Pipe and the Motor Mount and other small part's taken off ?
After 30 years of being in one place almost anything could have happened to that 63 C10 Pickup. It's in good hands now with you Brother Gibs, it will last another 30 years and possibly outlast a few more generations.
Stay safe my friend, God bless...

you suppose to bleed the brakes by bleeding the first furthest from the master cylinder first. the the second third and last its suppose look like a Z.
