Fun fact back for ya (and everyone else), regarding the butterfly they caught that you mentioned, ICP tends to dedicate their albums "to The Butterfly" which is a reference to a butterfly Violent J and his brother Rob kept in a jar as kids that died overnight. They felt like shit afterwards and vowed to try to live the best lives they could since then so they'd, no joke, get to see the butterfly in Heaven when they die and apologize.
Shit like that is why I love this band so much tbh. For as hardcore as their image is, they're genuinely really kind people. Songs like Suicide Hotline and Halls of Illusions are some of my favorite of their more serious tracks, with their anti-suicide and anti-abuse messages.
Keep up the great work Andrew, it's always banger after banger when it comes to your channel.

One note: In science a theory (ie gravity) is not the same as we think of it. A theory is actually a fairly strongly evidence-backed body of work describing a concept. The way we casually use the word "theory" is more in line with a hypothesis.
I see your point here. But gravity is probably a terrible example as it's quite a contentious theory that is still not fully understand. And is the root cause of inconsistency in our working model of the cosmos.

I somehow managed to never really hear about ICP until about 2010, when someone slid some sort of promo album under my dorm room door. Everyone else in my building also got these, and everyone was laughing about it and I had no idea why. Then it was another several years before it came up as a joke in a webcomic and I finally looked them up when the whole Juggalo thing was already largely on the decline.
I'm happy to say that I still own this promo CD, and that it is 100% still sealed in the plastic shrink wrap.

I went to a couple of their shows in the late-90s. I was never a fan of the music, but back then they put on really fun shows. I have a degree in physics and know a fair bit about this stuff (to an extent at least, I'm sure there's stuff I don't know), but if you asked me to comprehensively explain this to a layman I don't know if I could. Of course there are explanations that are given to kids in school, but all of them skip over some things or just assume them as given. Sure you can say that a magnet appears when the atoms in a material align a certain way, but that doesn't explain why the atoms choose to orient themselves like that, and then you have to consider that there are many different kinds of magnetism that can be excited in different materials, so now there are several different fields like quantum theory, condensed matter physics and statistical mechanics that you have to know to get the full picture

Yea, don’t get me wrong … I’ve definitely laughed at some of the “juggalo” nonsense and the over the top edginess that reminds me of Hot Topic mallcore style, BUT … the ICP guys themselves and their band of fans really do seem like genuine people.
I went to a battle of the bands outdoors show about a decade back - was packed. Some of the “juggalos” were there even though the shows had nothing to do with ICP. They stood out, varied with age and race … but the attire and merch made it obvious lol.
They would each be going around picking up litter, asking folks if they need water, checking on people who were off alone really intoxicated or buzzed, etc. No one prompted them to do it, but they seemed like a group who just wanted to see everyone have a good time.
Considering some of the stories I’ve heard from people who call themselves a juggalo (childhood trauma, abandonment, assault, drug abuse, etc.) and the sense of family they’ve found in the group with many talking about how they have been able to find happiness with a positive outlook on life … I can at least respect it. It’s not my style of music, but they do seem to accept anyone and try to help them feel and do better.

I am a life long Juggalo and a long time fan of your channel. Thank you for taking a respectful position towards the group and their followers instead of using this as an excuse to persecute and ostracize them. A theory in scientific terms is the highest designation something can have in terms of evidence supporting it.
They don't use it like we do, when we say "I have a theory" we're saying we have an idea, when the scientific community says "This is a Theory" It means it's something that's been backed up by all the available information to the point that it would take a discovery of something absolutely monumental to disprove it and would shake the foundations of most other understandings we have of things.

When i was a student I learned that ins and outs of how magnets work were actually discovered quite recently so I think that that line might have made sense at the time.

However, the family of birds that crows and ravens belong to, corvids, is also commonly known as the crow family. As such, while technically not a crow in the sense of being one of the species commonly referred to as a crow, they are in fact, still a crow, in that they come from the crow family of birds. So anyone who may or may not have posted some obnoxious um actually style comment on the matter, is actually themselves incorrect. That bird is a raven, and ravens are technically a species of crow.

Exactly. Professional wrestling does stunts in ways you'd never be allowed to in theatre or film. Tom Scott has a very good video where he trains for a bit part in a professional wrestling match, and you'll see it's more real than you expect.
I prefer to think of it as a form of theater with really good athletes. People simply saying "its fake" really takes away from the actual work.
I know I'd fucking die if I was thrown across the room but those guys make it look easy and that's really incredible.
Pro wrestling is real in that it hurts and is physically demanding.

Is when my childhood hero Lawrence Taylor looked DEAD after a rather fast match with Bam Bam Bigalo. Like seeing a Hall of Famer NFL player struggle to push through the match that looked like your average “easy” match I went “Damn these guys make it look effortless”.

Magnets are like the pit, everyone’s comin in their own direction and moves, but there’s groups of homies boppin together and sometimes when the beat is real good they mosh the others around them that are on a similar groove to be in sync with them, and while there’s more resistant high energy dudes opening pockets, when that beat or line drops the group can make the other side of the place sing along too even the whole ass concert, and a mile radius if they’re really on it. However while we understand that the music exists and everyone’s little part in the power of the crowd, we still can’t be sure what instruments are being played so it’s still a fucking miracle.
