That's what I really want these videos to be about, even if people don't want the whole bundle, hopefully they hear about a game they really want to play or check out.
I have Trek to Yomi and Disco Ellysium already, this month was a skip for me on that base alone, now I'll watch the video to torture myself on what I missed and regret it hahaha
Nice! Glad to see someone else liking this month. Thought I was going crazy. Didn't notice that about the sliding bit in Hot Brass...will have to try that whenever (if ever) I go back to the game. One thing I wondered with Arcade Paradise was how the game develops past the laundromat. Right now, there's a lot of taking care of people's laundry but once it's a full-fledged arcade does it just turn into playing the games and emptying out the hoppers at the end of the day? Seems a little boring from a simulator-perspective. And as much praise as Disco Elysium has been given, I think my upcoming games to finish from this bundle will be Trek to Yomi and Road 96. Both of them fairly short and they really hit the spot for me. Anyway, good review, man!
Arcade Paradise's biggest flaw is that it's very front-loaded (pun intended?) with the laundry chores. Narratively and gameplay wise your goal is to move away from that as quickly as possible and focus on playing and completing the challenges in each game, which brings big boosts to each machine's revenue. There's also a variety of upgrades that you eventually purchase that help take the focus off of menial tasks and let you focus on playing the games. I enjoyed it quite a lot when I played it on Game Pass, especially as a cost/time efficiency addict and had fun sussing out the easier challenges to focus on to raise revenue quickly. It's probably the biggest pleasant surprise I've had from a game in recent memory. I can understand Kinglink giving it an average review based on a couple hours of gameplay, just know that the real meat and potatoes of the game starts coming shortly after that when a ton of gameplay variety opens up. One tip I would give that's useful throughout the game is that it will never kick you out of an arcade game when it's time to close up the laundromat for the night, so if you want to focus on a challenge or just keep playing one of the games, you can do so indefinitely as long as you don't quit out until you're ready to leave.
@@neverreadyfries8066 Good to know! So it sounds like the simulator-aspect of the game does get chucked out the window as you progress. Part of me thinks that's a good idea since the arcade machines are the star of the show...but at the same time, I'm a bit disappointed.
@@StealthyShiroeanGaming For the most part. You'll still be picking up trash, unclogging the toilet, debugging, and setting the prices and difficulty on your machines. By the time the I phased out the laundry tasks I was pretty happy to not have to do them anymore.
It seems every time you say a month is great I think it's terrible and when you think a month is meh I think it's great - at least with your backwards headlines 😂
I call it su chart too, lol. Anyway, pretty poor month for me, 3 pass games and aside disco, not too many I'm super hyped for. Oh well, better next month.
Happy Birthday KL!
found ya on steam reviews, happy to be here
I got Disco months ago but hadn’t played it yet. I’m currently on TotK but you have convinced me Disco will be next. Great video!

Happy birthday my man!
Going straight for Suchart

Some of the others are good depending on what you like, but you definitely got the best of the bundle.
