Probably not grabbing this one, but I own Risk of Rain 2 and it's easily worth the $12 on its own, I played it all the way through early access and even with half the content it was amazing, now it's easily a 100+ hour multiplayer experience and still a great time solo.
@@drdramatik yes will do! I haven't really looked into trading before, but that is such a good idea, do you have any tips where people do that? Is there a specific reddit or something?
That's always been a problem, if they intrigue you, I hope you enjoy them more than I did... though like I said, I didn't hate Stray Gods, it did have good moments, I'm just hella picky on musicals.
Was looking at RoR2 on Steam and saw your post on there about humble bundle. Never knew of it. Such a killer deal just for the one game. Thanks for the tip 🙏🏼
this review really confirms that there's nothing here for me this month... usually there's at least 1-2 games i like but i guess they can't all be winners
I'll pick this one up on the annual plan. I don't own Risk of Rain 2 and Stray Gods seems cool. 2KDrive and Battle sector seem solid too. I'm probably also going to pick up the Future Games Show Discovery bundle for Gloomwood.
Played Risk of Rain 2 once for an hour (owned it before the bundle) then put it down for months. Played it for a day or two and put it down again for months. Then started playing it recently and have triple digit hours into it. Like...the game has become such and intense addiction that I may need an intervention.
Anytime I can get three games that are my wish-list I am extremely pleased. Risk of Rain 2, Knight of Honor II: Sovereign, and Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector are going to keep me busy for awhile.
I was quite disappointed with the headliners so I did not pick it. I still obtained a copy of Miasma Chronicles, LEGO 2K Drive and A Guidebook of Babel from trades as they insterested me a bit (especially Miasma Chronicles).
More or less the same thinking here. No idea what it was about A Guidebook to Babel but that really didn't click with me either. It certainly was a weaker month though, but guess that's just the nature of the beast with Choice, yeah? As always, happy to hear your thoughts though, man! Oh, and for anyone looking into Playing for the Planet, I also vouch for Alba in that bundle. It's very simple but it's cute. And if you have a little one then it's a great game to play with them. My 3 year old daughter loved it so much that we played through it twice.
I liked the demo of A Guidebook of Babel well enough to add it to my wishlist, though I did notice the issues you mentioned. I expected the full game to iron those kinks, so it's a bit disheartening to hear they keep going. I'm still interested in it, but I think I'd wait for a bigger discount, since I doubt I'll be getting this bundle. I only really care about one other game in the list.
Took it because of Miasma which I start playing. But claimed other games and playing also lego race and risk of rain 2. Very good bundle in my opinion.
I am torn. Most of the games aren't that interesting to me, but I've wanted Stray Gods and RoR2 for awhile, and something about Empyrion draws me in. I haven't actually gotten Choice since last July,so I feel that this one is actually tempting me says something On a side note Gundam model kits are the best
Excellent review as always! Aside from the Lego game, this is a hard pass for me. Will look for that to be bundled somewhere else. How do people get humble bundle for less than $12? They stopped giving me the $4 coupons for skipping a month.
I haven't skipped months in a while, but sometimes I do a few regular months and then I skip a couple, and sometimes I skip every other month or so, but while sometimes I get some discount coupon to come back there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Doesn't seem to be something you can exploit. That being said, I've received more coupons when my skipping wasn't consistent, so there might be a system in place to stop it from being exploited.
@@Dreadjaws Interesting. For the past two years (up until the start of this year), if I bought a bundle, it wouldn't give me the $4 coupon the next month. If I skipped two in a row, it always gave me a coupon offer code for that second month. I've only bought one of the bundles this year, and I haven't seen a single code. Have you gotten any this year?
There don't seem to be any codes at all for me this year so I have paused every month so far. I will only purchase with a discount since they changed the number of games in each bundle. Used to be random then used to be 10 advertised now 8 soon 6. Bad Humble.
I feel like every month there's a few people who mention pausing it and then getting an offer for a few bucks off. Maybe they've stopped but I always wondered how that worked.
@@rushinburrito The last coupon of those I got was in december, but the only month I've skipped so far was January, so no other coupons. I'll mention, though, that sometimes instead of a $4 coupon for a month I got a deal for three months at half off, which I've always taken when it showed up.
If you don't have Risk of Rain 2 and it appeals to you, I would do it in a second. Same is true if you like X-COM, and don't have Battlesector, or you like Paradox Games and don't have Knights of Honor II. I know I can find 6 dollars of value here, but I'd say that in almost any bundle, at that price it's becomes more of an "Opportunity" cost type of thing, if you see a game you want to try out here, I'd go for it.
Pretty good bundle. I gave RoR2 to a friend and might play Empyrion. I read the game really shines with mods. Definitely not going to play a game that features female protagonist with a pierced septum, the modern day covid mask.
I disagree that spending 10-20 hours figuring out whether you like the game or not is "getting your money's worth". If you decide that you don't like the game, that's not only lost money, but also lost 10-20 hours.
That month didn't look too good yeah. In the end I'll only skip the lego and paradox games, because I can't stand those genres. Glad to get stray gods and ror2 at least.
I was waiting for this video. Thank you m8
Thank you, once again for your good work….
Month after month, your videos are my go to for knowledge about the bundles.

Anyone else remember that sonic racing game? Good times
Great games
There was a good series of them, though I think they all were track racers, right? Though the transformations on that game was good.
Yes. Still the best mario kart clone.
Not as good as Garfield Kart but decent.
Interestingly enough, I am considering picking it up for stray gods and a guidebook to babel, although you have intrigued me with risk of rain 2
Let me know what you think of them if you do! I have Guidebook and I don't know whether to keep it or trade it away.

Keep doing these videos man! you are the best.
idk. i think it seems like a solid bundle.
