@secretpolice I didn't have a problem at all, I used to ride dirt bikes a while back. This is my first street bike, but it is very comfortable. I like it.
I'm 6'2 220 and I didn't have any major issues on the 1100 EVO. It was a little more cramped than I was used to, but I ride a Multistrada which is much bigger. Go test ride one
You run and shift at a lot lower rpms than I do on mine. Was that because you had just bought it as your first bike? When I first bought mine (as a fourth bike), it sucked gas so fast I was almost worried about it. Then I realized it was probably because I was goosing it so much 'cuz it was so fun and peppy! I had to chuckle at djumkue's question about a 800cc bike being too powerful to start on. When anyone asks questions like that, tell 'em "It's all in the wrist." I hope by now, three years later, you have found some nicer places to ride your beautiful Ducati besides in traffic.
octavioveliz That's great! I hope you're still enjoying your Monster. I got mine in 2011 as well, after wanting one for 11 years. I rode my first Monster in 2000 and absolutely fell in love. I would wear a Ducati shirt and any time anyone would ask if I had a Ducati, I would say "not yet." Never give up on your dreams! I went down on my 883R (R for Race!) Sportster last month and they want to total it. I'm bummed, but I guess now I can give more attention to Letizia. Letizia means "happiness" in Italian. The master tech at the local Duc shop said all Ducatis have souls, and must have a name, so that's what I chose for her. (Hope you don't mind my long-winded comments. :)
a M620 is much smoother. the S2R800 is more difficult to ride in lower gear eg within city limits. But you'll get used to that, it is very much worth it!
Hi, did you ever regret cutting the exhaust the way you did? Was there any performance loss after you did it? Wasn't the sound too loud after you cut it? I'm unsure if I should do it to my s2r...
Love the color! Mines the same, but it’s grey. That yellow pops!!
Just like mine it has the turning circle of an 18 wheeler
Awesome Video! I have a S2R 800 myself and I know how much fun it is to ride one of these monsters ;)
You will be fine - I am 6'1" and over 200lbs and it is perfect! super comfortable.
I really, really enjoyed this video. Thanks

Yeah my shifting got more aggressive as I learned to ride.

Trying to figure out what part of Chicago u were riding, looked like u were on the west side?
@mamananau That's cool, I love it. I'm glad I bought it.
I like what you did with the exhaust, how is the end result looking?
Nice, I'm glad I could help. :)
You'd be fine. I'm 6'1 at 205 and I'm comfortable as hell on my Ducati

I'm not sure, it might be a little bit too small for you.

Thinking about buying one of these as a first bike. Can you give me any input. Is the throttle super aggressive? Is it mamagable?
It's very manageable. I'm 5 foot 2 inches and weigh about 130 pounds. It's no problem at all at 800cc with the power. I loved it! I want another one!
Thanks!
I have a picture on one of my newer videos. It came out awesome.
By the way which camera did you use to record the riding part
@TheRealStarleak Huge difference!!!!
@mamananau It's a GoPro hero
Are these hard to find parts for, I thought they were EU bike only
I'm 6"2 200 pounds, you think it's suitable? Cheers.
What camera?
Thanks! I want to do something way better though.
In the Streets Of ChicagO.
Hahaha there was like a 12 point turn in the beginning. Nice bike thiugh
Yeah this was the first week I had it lol.
@secretpolice I myself am tired of sportbikes and I am waiting for my new monster.
hai comprato la moto per andare a comprare il pane?

Yeah, I take people out all the time.....well I take girls out for a ride all the time. lol
