this video is amazing I'm a small artist and producer currently, making music in my parents' house (I legally cannot move out) so I'm gonna be here for a while but someday (hopefully) I can build a studio just like this one!
Super proud of you bro, to think you built your first studio desk almost 10 years ago with some left over materials in the house and how you have perfected your craft over the years🙌🏻 looks very professional and thank you for sharing your journey ❤
Wow, amazing ... I would never have cut the rock wool indoors, very brave of you. That stuff is super resilient. The result looks good. A before and after comparison with calibration would have been super interesting. So that you can see how much the frequency response has changed due to the absorbers.
Hey, this is an awesome space. I also built my own studio with around 200 square feet os space. I would’ve advice for bass traps do it a little thicker and also wraps the rock wool in extra material as it is pretty harmful for you
Something i would highly recommend for your studio is an air purifier , Those fibers from your panels are always going to escape a bit... Great video Edward
For anyone watching this, please wear a mask and gloves when working with rockwool and other insulation products. That stuff can get into your lungs and stay there forever. I would also cover the back of the panels so that stuff can’t release into the air over time.
I did something similar to my very smaller studio (just 12 square meters which should be 120 square feets, if I'm not wrong) but I also built both floating floor and ceiling...my strong advice is to close the back of all panels (maybe with some cheap and thin fabric) in order to minimize all kind of dust you may have from them in next years as it can be dangerous for your health (primarily your lungs)... except of this (which is important, from my point of view) enjoy yourself...😊
This is awesome! I'm currently also setting up a new studio space in an upstairs room with slanted ceilings and a pretty big window, though it's much smaller (~120 sq. ft.). Trying to balance acoustic treatment with room to hang guitars... the ceiling really makes it tricky!
I'd seriously advise putting some carpet down, or at least rugs, as that will stop the reflections coming from the floor. Apart from that, it's a really nice space!
Hey, my name is Quinton & I recently sold my old equipment & started over by buying me the new MT1, presonus preamp (Extenal & interface) as well as a Behringer Effects prossesser just to get that sound I was looking for thanks to some of your guidance.
I went to a huge fabric shop to have as many options to pick from as possible. Not really sure what the name of the fabric is, but reminds of fabric people would use for making a sofa or something like that… if I can get more info on it, I will let you know.
Yo bro !! I need your Help . I'm Thinking to buy ( Lewitt 440 pure and audient id4 ) Do u suggest me any other at that price or a slight high price can also acceptable. Please answer this bro 🙏 Note : My room is not at all acoustically treated
Sorry bro, but sticking 50mm of rw3 across the corners is going to be doing next to nothing for your bass end. If you stuff the entire void behind this panels then you have a chance. Run REW and you’ll see what I mean…

@@EdwardSmithMusic Love ur videos bro.I'm hoping to buy a mic on next year
On the picture i see, the new desk is a BUSO Audio Desk?
Nope 😆 … you’ll have to wait and see
What fabric did you use for the panels?

did you measure your rooms frequency response before and after so you know you did it right?
God bless 🙏🏽
Out of curiosity, for a room that size, what was the cost for acoustic treatment?
I gotta subscribe and i did 👍
Thank you 🙏🏻

@@EdwardSmithMusic please man I love your content
А как же перчатки и маски для работы с минватой? То что с другой стороны панели не закрыл я вообще молчу 😢 береги себя, братуха, береги, молодой ©
Clap test is amateur...but good results for a beginner.
There's more $ in TH-cam channels than actually being a musician in many cases lol
fk i love the floor
You and me both!
sir you are not wearing mask and gloves , that rockwool wasnt itchy??
here i was wearing mask, gloves and making panels but my hands got so itchy
I know, I should have been wearing a mask and gloves 😓

u need to cover the with something else. it's dangerous for your health man
Dont put artificial trees .. put real ones.. !
I might switch them for real ones once I am fully settled into the new space.
