1000 Steps Trail - Guam

  • 1,000 Steps is one of my favorite hikes on Guam. It is located on the east side of the island and can easily be found on google maps. The trail begins right next to the Onward Mngilao Golf Club. There is a small sign on the main road marking the trailhead. This particular trail offers both jungle and coastline scenery.
I generally don't park in the trailhead parking area because there are some serious potholes on the dirt/rock trail that descends from the road. I typically park in the grass at the end of the paved road.
If you are quick, you can get to the ocean in about 15 minutes. Stay tuned until the end to watch my (pathetic) time trial.

Thanks... I was just watching one of the videos on your channel. I need to get me one of those kei trucks... I'm partial to the Honda's because I used to work for them.

Contact the mayor about the junk pile. I encourage all property owners along w/ the village mayors to install those hidden battery cameras you can find at Cabelas, Dicks Sporting Goods, & Amazon in the heavy trafficked illegal dump areas which are too numerous to name. Issue the appropriate fines & allocate the revenue stream to provide funding to upkeep the trails, reforestation, & vermin control.

Shouldn't have to contact the Mayors about any illegal dumping. They ALL know where it is happening!

@@TropicShade You’re absolutely right. Property owners need to be held accountable and contact the police for trespassing, littering, vandalism, etc. The buck stops w/ private landownership. Install fences and cameras like the military does by example. I would encourage the local property owner where Marbo cave is to install a fence and prohibit any and all people including the military and tourist to keep off their land for liability issues.
