Cap Angela - The Most Northern Point of Africa - Sigma FP
We collected a few friends in our rental car and went to Cap Angela, the most northern point of the continent of Africa. It is a beautiful location. The spot is not overly developed, just a dirt parking area and a small monument.
A few fishermen were bringing in their catch in a small boat. A lighthouse sits atop the green hill to the west. The water is the clearest I've seen in Tunisia. This would be a great location for swimming in the summer months.

Scenes from Cork and Blarney Castle - Ireland
มุมมอง 254ปีที่แล้ว
In early March my wife's family met us in Ireland for a week of sightseeing. I was able to film our visit to Blarney Castle and Cork Cathedral on our first day. Unfortunately, Swiss Airlines lost our luggage, which prevented me from completing a video on the whole trip. We ate fish and chips like good tourists and exchanged some germs kissing the Blarney stone.

Just in the last two years, we've been able to find information about my Uncle, USMC PFC Robert Beckmann, he was killed July 10 1944 on the island of Guam. He was a Marine sniper. My daughter and I had gone to the family cemetery, and beside my grandparents' graves was a marker for my Uncle, but I suspected that he wasn't actually buried there. My daughter called the national memorial for the battle on Guam and found out that he is buried on Guam, and his name is etched on the wall at the memorial of the fallen soldier's. None of this was ever mentioned in my family, i wished there was family left to talk to about my Uncle, I don't want him to be forgotten! Oh and I named my son Robert in part after his Great Uncle!

Sucks that English is overtaking chomorro. I think protective language laws should be passed in all countries and territories like guam and Puerto Rico. To preserve languages, everyone who wants to live in a non official English country speaking should learn the native language.

I was stationed at Andersen AFB from 94 - 98. I LOVED it here! In fact I tried to retire here but the military had other plans. All these years later....here I am on Guam again to work and stay 2 more years. Guam is unlike anyplace else. But don't come here thinking you're going to change the place...Guam operates on "Island time". Just except it. Embrace it. Slow down and enjoy the people, the scenery, the ocean, etc. I love this place!

I lived there in the early 80's as a military brat 7th thru 9th grade. Some of the local kids at my school hated everyone who wasn't Chamorro. Got grabbed and held by one kid yelling at his friend that I said something deragatory toward him. I was a shy kid on my first day of school who knew nobody there, not someone bashing the locals or complaining and trashing that beautiful island. For the three years I lived there, school was a place to dread, traveling in groups to avoid getting attacked by Chamorro gangs outside the cafeteria. Summer vacations, weekends, and holidays were incredible. Outside of school, Guam was paradise.

Thank you, the same issue is going on in Hawai'i. Being a Guamanian I've made friends who were in the military, who at first hated being on island and didn't know anyone, many of these individuals had left, and every now and then, they returned to the island and made it home. I moved to the Mainland and I made it a point to meet locals, learn the history of the city, and participated in local events and best of all I frequent the farmers market and talk to others. i think its because the perception is that many white Americans are rude, privileged and demanding towards locals. I think many white Americans were raised to believe that the US is the supreme, most powerful nation in the world so they expect to be treated as royalty when going to other places, especially US colonies/territories.

It’s not about 4x4 jeeps, a lot of locals doing that, and I’ve never seen the military leaving trash on the beach, it’s about locals who have a typical Asian mentality and strongly xenophobic views, meaning they don’t like something different than they are, and the fact you’re making more money as the military is burning their asses. Some of them are friendly but they will take advantage of you 💯 or steal something from you, very cheap ppl. Fake asf They are friendly and smiling to you but at the same time, they will stab you with a smile. Please don’t come to Guam, it’s the biggest mistake I’ve ever made.

A real slingshot is far deadlier than a stone sling. All of the energy from the stone sling must be harnessed purely from your muscles, while the sling shot also takes advantage of the elasticity of the fibers. It's one step away from the bow and arrow. And that's not even mentioning the improved accuracy.

@@GT31366 They are both more than powerful enough to kill most big game, but the sling shot is fatal even in the hands of a total novice. This is due to it's mechanical advantage. That makes it a more effective tool in most respects. Granted a stone sling can probably kill a larger beast than a slingshot, provided it is wielded by a master.
