I ordered the Bow Tie Mega in Sushi. I love the bright yellow colour. I will be using it for a Health and Wellness Tracker. I agree, if you buy the planners from different companies you gotta factor in the shipping cost. And if you decide not to keep it then the re sale value decreases even if you paid the shipping cost. The Sushi Bow & Tie cover is so cute!!!! After seeing it in the Hobonichi livestream, I like it even more now! I think if I were certain that I'd be keeping a standalone meal planner, I'd get that one for sure. The shipping realization was a sad, but necessary reality check for me. You're right about the resale value as well; I didn't think of that, either!
I initially planned to get the Hiroko Kubota A6 HON but ended up ordering the Unsodo because that rainbow just charmed the heck out of me. I also got the Liberty Fabrics weeks for the first time. I'm a little worried I'll get tired of it, but I'm also excited to have a non-neutral colored lineup for 2025! Really looking forward to the A6 + supplement combo and hoping I find some consistency. Thanks for your recent videos on this setup, it encouraged me to reconsider the supplement!

I’ve been going through this decision process this past week as well! It’s so helpful listening to you talk through your impressions of the designs. I’ve been using a Cousin since April that I picked up in Japan and it’s just too big and tricky for me to keep up with. I realised I needed to commit 60-90mins each day to keep it updated. Your videos have been a great resource and inspiration to me these past few months. I’m planning to order the Unisodo Weeks for work and the Yumi Kitagashi Weeks for health, and get an A6 for memory keeping about my baby. I resonate so much with what you’re saying. I think unless I use the Cousin for long-form notes, I wouldn’t be able to use up a whole page. That doesn’t stop me from wanting to try using it for memory keeping, even though I’m sure it would take me 60-90 min per day to update it as well! Your line up for next year sounds so sweet 🥹
Some folks got invited to the Hobonichi previews and shared on IG with real video feeds to see the covers and planners better. You might check that to see if you can see what you want better than photos. But honestly I think the Pistachio is a great choice and I think it looks good with your cover without being match so you won't get tired of it...and it's a little funky which is a nice twist on the A6 cover you have. I think with the florals and pastels it would get to be too much for a whole year.

In texting back and forth with my oldest daughter, who recently had a baby, about the Hobonichi release, she decided she needed a Weeks. No - two weeks - one for work and one for the baby! Not only is she now into journaling and understands my lifelong practice of journaling and planners, I have led her down the Hobonichi rabbit hole (she is also a fan of all things Japanese). So we are awaiting our shipment.

This is so fun! And I’m definitely trying to talk myself out of many of these pretties. Not to be an enabler, but the Café au Lait Plad covers are from the “Taut” line and they are much less bulky and more streamlined than the usual zipper covers. In the body of the description on Hobonichi’s site, they show a side by side comparison with one of their regular zip covers.

I love the color red 🤔🤔 and then yesterday, I just decided to add a weeks as my budget log so I'm between the one piece one or the purple nights 🙈
The one piece releases are always so nice! This year’s one piece hon is so nice and it would be perfect as a media log 🥹 I’m very intrigued by the idea of incorporating more budgeting into my system, so that’s something I’m thinking about, too!

The snake mega will be my wellness journal. this year I used two weeks one for health trackers and one as a workout journal. but with the snake mega, I think I can combine them! also, I love the A6 size, but I started putting my food log in my A5 cousin along side my daily tasks and am really liking it. so I have no problem filling up the whole A5 page now. I think we may have talked about our affinity for tracking our meals LOL
Excellent video, I love the way you walk your way through what you need vs want. I dipped my toes into Hobonichi for the first time last year with two Weeks and was diligent with both. This year I will also invest in an Original (no cover) to fulfill other needs which aren't met through the Traveler's Company TN. I don't know how many times I've been caught reworking or talking about my favourites list at work. My co-workers are so patient with me 😂

The title of this video :) I finally decided on the Crescent Moon A6 HON (but still like the rainbow design). For the Weeks, I’m still deciding between Paddington, Fish Scale Crest, and Through the Purple Night. They’re all sooo beautiful.
I know you mentioned getting some Sterling Ink notebooks so I thought I'd add that Hobonichi have actually added either lined or plain A5 and A6 notebooks to their lineup this year! Which has me pretty excited because I'm used to them only having grid notebooks.
I bought the weeks from Hiroko Kubota in 2024, but I agree with you, I wish the design of the HON in 2025 was the same in the weeks, so I will get only the HON A6 and the A5 cover.
I'm doing day free - this year I allowed my journalling to go beyond the day... After the monthly, I don't use the dailies as dailies a lot. I may get a dater... I'm getting a weeks for meal planning - probably cherries or sushi. Or maybe a solid - unsure color so that I can put stickers on it. (Both of those being home bound.) I got a stappo last year - I keep my A6 in it, I will probably get the smaller Liberty Stappo. I had my passport TN turned into a wallet by Baum Kuchen, so I will probably get weekly horizontal insert for my on the go. (unsure, I use my phone too.)
The sushi weeks is so good for meal planning. 🍣 I liked it even more after seeing on the Hobonichi livestream that it’s a bright, but not too bright yellow background. What do you think of the Stappo? I like the liberty fabrics one, but I think I may hold off until another year since my main budget will be going towards that MP piece cover (if I can get it!).

Watching your videos has really helped me clarify what I need in my system next year. I'm definitely getting the Black Gingham Hon because I regretted not buying that one this year, and then I'm getting a Smoke Gray Weeks Mega. I desperately want one of the Cafe au Lait covers for the hon, but it's so expensive I don't know if I can justify it. For budgeting I'm just getting some Traveler's inserts, the horizontal weeks and a lined notebook. And for my writing planner, I'm going to get a Sterling Ink compact horizontal weeks specifically because of the goals spread.
The black gingham HON is so pretty! 😍 It’ll go so nicely with the Smoke Gray weeks mega. 🖤🩶 Budgeting is something I’d really like to get better at. How are you using your TN inserts for that purpose?

I’m using an A6 One Piece planner and loving it, so I will probably get a red One Piece again for 2025. The pattern is not as pretty as the 2024 one - I wish it had at least a pirate ship! - but the colors are good, and I love the paper!
I didnt print mine out but i have screenshotted on my phone and made collages and price totals for several potential orders and have redesigned it probably 5 times now. My husband doesnt understand the struggle but he has looked it over with me several times over this past week and a half 😂
I’ve narrowed it down to a Cousin for my knitting planner/creative writing, a 5 year for memory keeping, and a Weeks for health. And maybe a couple pencil boards 🤣
Knitting planner! I love that! I got a Life Noble notebook with the tiniest grids part year. I think it might be too difficult for me to write with, but I’ve heard some like to use it as a pattern planner for knitting/crochet projects! Which pencil boards are you thinking about picking up? :)
Catherine sent out pricing in the email to subscribers...but notebooks should be readily available and restocked regularly so no rush on them in my experience. Other than an A6 colors cover and a pencil board - both of which I'll get state-side no Hobos for me.

I loved the pirate shop design! I still haven’t watched the series, but seeing how much care they put into the One Piece planner made me wish I did.
I didnt print mine out but i have screenshotted on my phone and made collages and price totals for several potential orders and have redesigned it probably 5 times now. My husband doesnt understand the struggle but he has looked it over with me several times over this past week and a half 😂

I’ve narrowed it down to a Cousin for my knitting planner/creative writing, a 5 year for memory keeping, and a Weeks for health. And maybe a couple pencil boards 🤣
Knitting planner! I love that! I got a Life Noble notebook with the tiniest grids part year. I think it might be too difficult for me to write with, but I’ve heard some like to use it as a pattern planner for knitting/crochet projects! Which pencil boards are you thinking about picking up? :)

Hi, the paddington ones are Hobonichi exclusive, so you have to buy from their site to get one.

Catherine sent out pricing in the email to subscribers...but notebooks should be readily available and restocked regularly so no rush on them in my experience.
Other than an A6 colors cover and a pencil board - both of which I'll get state-side no Hobos for me.

@@LittleCocoStudio I ordered two because I don't always like the colors so that way if I don't like them next year I've got one for 2026 LOL. I got the Charcoal Fairy and I got the Sunny Beach. I thought about Water Candle too but I was drawn to the other too more.
