    I've owned a Toyota RAV4 & recently traded my HONDA CR-V EX 2020 for 2024 KIA Sportage SX, I'm Amazed!! Best I've ever driven, smooth ride, 12.3 digital screen. Harman Kardon Premium Audio System, 8 Speakers, USB-C / Wireless charging, Memory seats, Driving modes, ETC.... has the same luxury features as my sister's BMW SUV but at lower price, KIA also gave me free Maintenace, Oil changes, etc for 5 years.. I'm in LOVE!!!

    I wish the lower trims of the Sportage offered dynamic active sound, like the higher trims. In my sister’s SX Pres. if you set it to loud, the engine sounds very aggressive. Through the Harmon speaker system with subwoofer, the car literally has a roaring grumble. I absolutely loved that feature. Also when you were in the Toyota, you couldn’t hear the climate system. In the Kia, you heard the climate system and it sounded like it was blowing throughout the entire car from every direction. My sister think you might have had it on auto? My wife just gave me the okay. We are buying another Sportage. The lease on my Nissan Rouge is up. I know that I would like the top trim Sportage over another Rouge. My wife traded her 2020 Honda CRV, for the Sportage, and she is very pleased with her decision. Thanks for the video. Oh and sport mode makes the Sportage feel and drive more aggressive. I hate that the Sportage R-GT is smaller. They should have just added sportier trimmings to the non R GT, models. They changed the body to look like a baby Telluride. I guess 🤷‍♂️

      IMO, the Toyota of today just isn't the Toyota of the 80s, and 90s. They are not fun, cool, innovative, or all that interesting to look at. Well made yes, but not something that's inspiring or makes you want to drive them even if just for fun. Their cars are meant for non driver type folks in their 50s and 60s.

    You have to put the RAV4 into cruise mode to allow the car to self drive and stay in the lane, but it does get confused sometimes. So, have your hands near the wheel in case it does not recognize the lanes

    Gabi and Charlotte! If you two were here in my area, I'd totally buy from you. 🙂 And as it happens, after exhausting amounts of research and video watching. Rav4 and Sport'age Hybrids are exactly what I've narrowed down to. Though I like a number of things about the Rav4 over the Sport'age, I like the interior, and cockpit layout in particularly of the Kia. Plus the warranty is so much longer. I live in Oregon though, and I do worry about the all weather applications. Rav is well proven there, and I guess all in all, I'm still tossed as to which one is the right one for me overall. I'm not planning on going off roading, but if the mud hits the road, is the Kia going to keep me out of the ditch?

    I test drove 23 rav4 and 24 sportage yesterday. Found the rav4 suspension stiff and hard hitting on some of Ottawas crumbling side streets at low speed but at higher speed >65kph really good. The sportage was a bit spongier (bouncy) at higher speed. Also as a 6'4 driver the ravs cockpit was a little narrow with console hitting my leg. Kia was less noticeable. It's a tough call. Rav4s 3500 lb towing is making me lean in that direction. Also I'm interested in learning which has better AWD traction in snow. It's between Sportage Xline or Rav4 Trail. Are the tradeoffs in warranty and price point gonna be the difference?

      I like toggles. Why do manufacturers put these touch switches on climate controls but not on window or door lock controls; Because they are too touchy and dangerous. My 2024 Carnival has these touch controls and my wife and I are constantly hitting the wrong switch. Why did they put volume knobs back on radios? I guess it’s money but I just don’t get it. Great jokes. Blindspot - oh.. it's not working. Lane follow - oh... we don't have it 😂Other than that great overview. Toyota feels little bit outdated but again they have Lexus. Had chance to drive with 21/22 Kia and it felt smooth, but time to time RPM went too high and had to use shift paddles (since it was rental car maybe there was need for maintenance). Do you have chance to turn off the distance assist and just set the max speed or it always follow the distance as well. In general these are great features to have. And great to see you're testing it in Canada. Here in Northern Europe we have great minus degrees as well. Still love the old great w212

  • @DennisdeMelker
    @DennisdeMelker 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Having driven both in Europe I agree that the Kia Sportage feels more nippy and agile to drive. The RAV4 may have the same systems but they are not working as good as the ones in the Kia what makes them more annoying and I turned them off manually. I felt like the Toyota was more stable, the KIA is more like a boat and more nosediving then the RAV4. Qualitywise I felt the RAV4 was outdated and used fragile plastics, where the Kia interiour was modern and solid. Pricewise the KIA Sportage offered more and better tech for the money and the RAV4 was heavier (so higher on taxes), outdated and slow. The one thing the RAV4 beats KIA is consumption, its is way more efficient, even the Hybrid Sportage uses a lot. For a 50k car from 2023 I expected it to do better than 7 ltr / 100 km. My Nissan QQ from 2019 already managed that easily and that was not a Hybrid. And that is already in Eco most of the time.
