    6:57 Pro tip here: After Ke8 (most ppl won't play Kf8 since we take their bishop with check), I really like Qh5+ to provoke g6 then take the bishop, which worsens Black position even more. I play this a lot and Black goes g6 99% of the time since Kf8 will just let us take the bishop with check (so it seems bad), but playing g6 is actually even worse, just a nice little trick I thought I'd share.
    Position is slightly above +1 if you just take the bishop straight away, but if you induce g6 first then take its like +2.6 since it leaves their rook very vulnerable.

    Opening tip: If you are a player rated lower than 1600, there is a good chance that your opponent will play the anti-fried liver by playing h6. The tip is, play d4 and when they take the pawn, castle. If they play bc5 after you castle play c3 and you’re in a Haxo Gambit position but you are castled and your opponent wasted a temp by playing h6.
    Here are the move orders:
    1. E4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 h6 4. D4 exd4 5. O-O Bc5. In this position if you play c3, and you’ve actually transposed into the scotch but you have castled and the opponent wasted a tempo by playing h6

      @aura809 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ingogoldbeck2886after exd4 white goes cxd4 and the d pawn cannot be taken by the knight or bishop since that would lose a piece. the pawn on d4 in the evans is defended by the c pawn knight and queen. The other gambits you were talking about lose the central pawn, the evans gambit doesnt.

    12:24 I must have missed the reason? Why doesn't the queen go to f3 instead with ideas of capturing with the rook rather and pin black's queen...? Bxf7+ isn't enough cause black doesn't need to take but the queen move we just made threatens mate almost already, why is e2 considered a better spot? Can somebody elaborate please?

      Looking at stockfish, after the exchange at 12:53 White cannot trade queens and the position is worse. Qf3 is good without the exchanges in the video, and after Black plays d5, then Bf4 Qf5 cxd4 and the position is similar, at least as far as I can tell

    I'm kinda new to chess, can someone explain how he moved at 9:28 the pawn from e5 to d6? There was no piece that he could take there and the black pawn from d5 disappeared. I don't understand.
