You and James Canty III are my favourite chess players rn! Thank you for always providing interesting, insightful perspectives and repertoire to chess! You’re both the people I learn from the most!
that first one is to easy to refute once ur queen joins in on the file and black has developed there queen to the awkward e7 square and then white decides to bring his knight out in the d file blacks next move shouldnt be threatening the bishop but pushing the pawn against white queen which then white has to take then black brings the queen out on the roof file to threaten checkmate if white doesnt trade black then obtains a strong winning position
5:34 Is there any merit to doing bG5 to take the pawn and threaten the queen? I know the queen could easily take it but they don't want to because then it opens up your attack on the king. Or am I missing something?
Qe7+, only logical move after to save any material is to block the move with Qe2, they trade, and the king takes the knight. The reason it goes like this vs Fried Liver is because in Fried Liver, there's a pawn blocking that Qe7+ move.
My feeling is that top players will play the 6.ed Qe7 line! as black especially in a correspondence game with lots of time and the use of computers!! Yeah!
I like that hoodie. Makes a nice change from the black t-shirt. I was worried about the impact of shipping from North America, but it turns out your factory is just down the road and over the water from me! They are expanding the Rampton Windfarm here soon. Glad we no longer rely so heavily on coal in the UK. 🌍

Ok
I sometimes play the Scotch Gambit: the more scotch I drink, the more pieces I sacrifice.
Good to know. I'm just curious about 12:15. I'd play Be2. Keeping the castling rights would be the main reason.
Agreed
yeah, i saw that too 🤔
apparently Black is better because they gain space in the center with their knight after taking the pawn the bishop stopped defending.
Keeping the d5 pawn in the center is more important than castling.
wouldnt the pawn just eat that bishop
Here's a request: more sneaky lines in different openings, but this time with black.
what about night E5 ?
what if at 5:23 the oppoent pushes the pawn to f6

love your channel, found the other day and wow some great insights
How about black
4..... h6 please give me a line
I played scotch gambit first time yesterday!

the knight can take the bishop and still defend the f7 pawn
If B×g5 then N×Bg5 protects the f7 pawn and can even retreat back to Ne6 if he wants to block the Bishop again.
13:29 can white play Bxh6 here? Because if pawn takes bishop, there is Qxe7.
will you make a vidio about the Halosar Trap?
9:12 Ah yes, ye olde "criss-cross apple sauce". Well played.
7:25 What about Nxf7? Fried Liver attack!

With killer openings for white like this how does black ever recover??
How is 8:30 a checkmate?
thx Nelson ur courses are so good they really help me in chess
5:26 B×b7 B×b7 Q×b7 Rd8 Q×a7 also looks very strong.
Thanks a lot Nelson!

Love the jacket
Also, please show more lines related to these openings!
This deserves a try for me.
10:00 and then he sacrifices THE ROOOOOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So close to saying criss-cross apple sauce there 😆
I instinctively added that in my head. You watch GothamChess?
@@DSW_314 Yeah, I do. So does Nelson, he said so a few videos ago.
B b4 + check varision
Your content is super, but it needs chapters!!!!
That was very well presented, thank you.
he def diidnt go with the data shows it easily refuted at 1700 blacks got a big edge once white brings knight to dfile
Well my main opening from white is scotch Gambit so thanks a lot
Knight to g5 isn’t tricky
This looks like a pretty weak gambit to me, sadly, it's just too conditional and easy to stop.
my tell on Nelson is that if he raises his right finger, he's about to gambit something
Curious, have you ever tried asian chess variants like Shogi and Xiangqi?
