I ran a byd forklift in Canada, it was a nice experience, when the production line went to two shifts though the nice experience turned somewhat problematic, the battery could not keep up to two shifts. Overnight it would charge and the day shift was ok but the afternoon shift you had to recharge about every 45 minutes or so for about twenty minutes. so it was only practical for an eight hour shift. Other than that it was a very concise unit to run, we built a push arm on it and used it in a sawmill pilling 2x6/8/10/12’s into packages, you could consistently offload a board within 2/3 millimeters off where you wanted it.( that’s concise in a fast paced sawmill) we used it in an outdoor setting so when it rained the windows fogged badly. It was best suited for an indoor warehouse. If I found an indoor setting to run one I would follow the job posting, it was a joy to run when weather conditions were favourable. Oh and I should mention the ev and hydrolics runs much quieter than a hydraulic and gas/ propane engine. You could get away without hearing protection when running the byd.

It’s absolutely true. Personally I own two vehicles. Both EV type, Song Plus 2023 and E2 2024. My monthly bill for “gas” (electricity) for two vehicles is around 600+ kwh. At average rate 0.07 USD/kw total monthly charge is… 50 usd
Yep, £0.25 per kWh in the UK plus £0.56 daily standing charge. We are using only 8 kWh per day on average, which equals 266 kWh on average, and the monthly cost for electricity is £80. If I had 600 kWh per month, that would cost me well over £230 per month. I have no idea how in the US this could cost less than £40... sad times we're all living in.

BYD has $83 billion of debts, most to the Chinese government!!
Would you buy this vehicle for that much build by Chinese? Would you be comfortable in its safety. I wouldn’t, my mountain bike, without any batteries or motor cost 3 times more, than this car. I will not even consider this as an option
low cost is very possible only that first car makers are just so exploitive but soon china will show them the way.....
