Good who the hell really wants to pay $70,000 for a problem and higher cost to charge them.
That’s because they are impractical and control measures of government and corporations. These EVs are neither environmentally friendly or practical in any measure.
GM and Ford could’ve put this money wasted on EVs into new fuel technologies for the current ICE technologies that are both sustainable , affordable and actually renewable. The bio and synthetic fuel industries could have been established by the two major manufacturers which would actually have been a better investment.
People are not going to buy crap, make something people want!

I gleefully watch EV eco do-gooders struggle with their overpriced over weight smartphones on wheels.
I just cannot comprehend one thing. They start the EV production what is in the first place totally pointless nowadays and afterwards they wonder why they cannot sell them...is this normal ?
Make an inexpensive EV and they would sell. 60k in this crappy market is a hard sell. The lightening was supposed to cost 29k dollars launches at 39k goes to 70k its a battery and a motor.
And even at seventy grand , Ford is still losing money on them.

Why would you have to plug it in, while working in the back "40"?? In reality you NEVER have to plug it in, if you didn't want to and still use it as a truck.
Plus you can run full size electric tools off the system.

The dealers never lowered their prices after the supply shortage ended. Now with inflation hitting everyone, they've priced a lot of people out of even the cheapest ice cars.

I love it ! EV dealers and manufacturers (legacy) do thier best to undercut EV sales and service, then cry about it. The main reasons for drop in EV sales is 1) lack of customer money, 2) thinner profit margins for dealers and manufacturers. Legacy carmakers / sellers do not want to give up thier gasser easy money and bite the bullet to adapt new technology. Well, R.I.P. to you !

Cars that cost an arm and a leg to insure, and if they burst into flame in a structure, insurance will not cover peripheral structure damage, an EV resale value of zip --- Makes EVs almost cheaper to scrap (except for the costly battery disposal).

My neighbor works for an EV vehicle battery production plant that supplies Ford, GM and Stalantis. He told me that electric vehicle batteries have not been road tested long enough to make them from catching on fire.
At my neighbors plant, a high number of vehicle batteries have caught on fire, and caused thousands of dollars in building damage. All the battery material used in building EV batteries come from China. China has the best program in building EV batteries because the Chinese auto companies spent more time to perfect the battery technology with longer road tested programs. 😮

EVs are also sold by Tesla. They don't have Ford or GM problems. Tesla sells every EV it makes. Tesla is planning on building two additional factories in the next 24 months.

@@johnwhodat8135 That's right John. I Drove my Gen 2 Chevy Volt from Nevada to Glacier National Park and back, never plugged it in once 42mpg. Only took 10 minutes at each fuel stop.

Correct, now I am no expert and I was not around 150 years ago like you to hear the people say things like that but I am pretty sure the Govt did not pass bills to cut off hey for horses and make people buy cars that were 2 & 3 times the price. Then pass laws to say you can ride your horse anymore.
@@ImLivinSD actually the auto industry push people away from horse and buggies and street cars. They push the idea of having personal freedom of having your own car. So yes, the government was there to help push that agenda into the industrial age. So 140 years later, it is time to move on.
