I mostly wear eau de cologne from Santa Maria Novella. The scent lasts a very long time. I sprayed Peau d'Espagne on my wrist, and I was still exuding its scent after 8 hours. It's a good niche brand.
great video. i can tell alot of effort went into gathering and organizing all the info conveyed. Thanks. I usually go for EDP as a guy because i feel like it represents the quality of the composition. and by quality i dont mean longevity. thats a given. by quality i mean, the perfumer behind it, has done such an outstanding job, or is so knowledgeable that knows including more parfum oil will not ruin the scent he was going for. for example Dior Sauvage. one of the reasons i dont like it is because its not EDP. but for a second imagine if the same Sauvage had more parfum oil to alcohol ratio. it would smell pretty bad. it would be harshly metallic and the synthetic ambroxin will stand out as a sour thumb just awkwardly. think about it. its not about how it performs well as edt and last longer than some EDPs out there. we are not talking about absolute numbers. we are talking about compositions as they are. some fragrances are crafted or mastered with having like a 80% alcohol dilution in mind. so the perfumer will start off knowing this composition is gonna smell like alcohol 80%, or 60%. it matters people.
I will be looking for Eau de Parfum (EDP) only from henceforth. Also as each one gets stronger in concentration, this is reflected in the price. I am unsure if this was mentioned in the video.
Axe and other lower concentration fragrances would be put in a category called “Eau De Fraiche” which is a less known and far less advertised subcategory of fragrance concentration.

Is using a body spray deodorant such as Axe for underarms, and couple sprays of eau du parfum on say forearms, at same time, not right to do..? If you only use eau du parfum, but nothing for underarms, then...?
I just want to add to this video... After reformulations we have a new standard.. EDT changes to EDC... the extreme or parfum version becomes the EDT, and the parfum becomes the edp... haha
@Fragrance Bros. eau de cologne is alot less strong and less intense than it's edt or edp counterparts and for some people that's good since people can be sensitive to certain fragrances. tommy bahama is an eau de cologne and i love that because it's not too much for the heat. if it wears off just reapply.

Hollister So.Cal is Eau De Cologne and ive worn it since HS, and i bought my last bottle of it two years ago for nostalgia purposes and hardly wear it lol i have small collection (25) of fragrances and have so many better options. -TBH EDP and Parfumes on my skin only do well when its colled.
All the cologne I buy I buy them at Nordstrom and I recently bought a yvs saint Laurent eau de parfume but I my self can't really smell it while I'm wearing it but people tell me it's really strong I find that really wierd but alright as long as I smell good

Neck is the best on the front sides good place is also behind the ears and if you want to last longer you can spary it on the clothes but i prefere on the skin
There are alot of misconceptions about EDT vs EDP Some confuse EDP for pure perfume. I've just had a friend say "EDT is for under 30 year olds. To flatter ego need to get the best!" Fact is an EDP is not necessarily better than a EDT, Projection of an EDP can be poor, on the other hand some EDT can last for very along time especially if it is a synthetic type of fragrance.
This is good, I was always wondering what an extrait was. Now I wonder if there are just pure perfumes (parfums) out there. And if they can be used on men, and how much they cost.
Made me go to the cabinet and check out my cologne. Dunhill Desire Blue, Azaro Chrome and Guess. Any thoughts, comments?. Not into colognes but I have work close that I wear without cleaning thus, the need to mask the smell of oil.
dear david ; I wear all concentrations / names i am not sure after a lot off smelling if the edp version is always better / more longlasting as the edt for example with chanel les exclusifs some edt seemed to be better then the new edp version i think its not only about concentration but also an other balance in notes and if your nose smells the " higher " notes / tones such as in edt 's better or different so many other factors ar involved here the way i see it .. and lots of talks with selling people in the stores and reading about it / and my own experience
The EDP and EDT versions of the same scent in high end brands are not gonna smell the same (there's difference in the ingredients). Also you might smell the EDT better, because due to it's higher alcohol content it evaporates more and you're kinda smelling it all around you. The EDP is not gonna evaporate as much, you can smell it for longer, but closer to your skin, not as much in the air.
Question i own a few parfums and i notice that they dont have flammable signs? So does that mean they have less alcohol?.. i also notice parfums don’t project much imo (subjective)

Atelier's Cologne Absolute confuses me. If the concentration is greater, doesn't that make it Eau de Toilette?
