    Grant may not be for everyone but I always love to hear successful minds talk about how to do it and see how your own traits can match up with they’re thoughts.
    Love taking anything useful I can to use for my own success from guys like this.

    I had SO many lightbulb moments listening to this....especially the part where Grant talks about not putting yourself out there, not making money, or not sharing your art as being selfish. So true!

    I was listening to Grant the morning before my exams and he was speaking of using dept to build your business and I had a business I needed to register but I didn’t want to start with debt but I was so inspired and I just took his words to heart. I got to school and before I wrote my exam I had already talked to a friend about my business and how much I needed to start my business and just after the meeting he gave me 70 thousand naira to start and gave me 5 months before I pay back.

      My opinion and I know everyone's got one, so. I think Grant could benefit himself, his group and us by sharing how he helps his community because in this interview his ego is off the charts and I don't mean that in a way that says I don't like him I totally get him but it is a turn off to be braggadocious. He could affect more people in a positive way if he would dial back the ego and go for a more humble approach when sharing his thoughts, ideas and insights.

    • @kellykirkpatrick8978
      @kellykirkpatrick8978 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree playing small is a cop out to being great however pursuit of money to feed your ego is it dangerous go to way of doing business being humble is virtue and it's difficult balance to strike

    • @kellykirkpatrick8978
      @kellykirkpatrick8978 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1:38 Grant said his wife told him why women don't like him. I disagree I love it he lacks humility that is his only character flaw did I can see and that could be why she thinks women don't like him he doesn't realize yet he can still be a badass Beast and be humble at the same time being a badass is just making badass decisions and profiting off of them take the ego out and you've got a humble badass he should pursue that he'll triple his well if he does

      This guy is making himself sound very naive about money pushing Grant 2 more than 2 billion I mean yeah good to strive for more and set goals but clearly she doesn't have a clue how much 2 billion dollars is he couldn't spend that in a lifetime well he could if he gave it all away but still

  • @Whatsittous
    @Whatsittous 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Woah 1:31:51 " Trying not to be great hurt me alot" sends chills down my spine because i really just left that depressing phase in my life. They say the ego is bad, but noooo no no! That shit gives you purpose in life, to say "I did that" or "We made that happen". Its one thing to recognize your ego for what is it, and it is another to act like you dont have it, its a part of you, people have to just learn how to make it work for them.

    Why compare yourself to other people? You should be competing against yourself. Compare yourself from where you've come from to where you are now, and where you want to be. Forget about everybody else and what they've accomplished. You are on your own path not theirs.

    One disagreement...a mom who puts herself above her children can't experience a dimension of love that remains untapped until she has children - not to detract from women who don't have kids. I never knew I could love a little being (my son is now 24) as much as I love my son -- and the love grows bigger and bigger. The pride grows bigger and bigger. I have 'mommy' on-demand videos in my head that replay the joy, the laughter, the warmth....that will remain till the day I die....a happy, proud mom.

    I LOVE the point where he says poor people are selfish. That’s such an interesting and TRUE perspective because, because we as people are supposed to take care of our individual selves first, someone else has to use their energy to take care of another grown adult which is taking away from their energy which could be being used to help the earth or something. Every problem has a solution, and there’s really no excuse to be poor as a grown adult after a certain point in your life.

    I have so many mixed feelings about this video. There’s definitely some nuggets of good info in here (like you need to be rich, think bigger, etc.)...
    At the same time: advertising 20%+ IRR to crowdfund properties - then buying them personally and selling them to your company at 6% APR (paid for by investors) is pretty sketch. And there’s not a whole lot of concrete action steps, all I’ve heard about 40 minutes in is general mindset stuff.

That's so ahead of the times. @ 48:52 "So many artists go down like this, 'I'm an artist. I'm not a salesman. Dude. You died and sold ONE PIECE OF ART. What a damn shame." Hey all of you who hate the 1% and want taxes to be raised so that all the wonderful and helpful programs you dream of can be paid for? If you are not making a boatload of money yourself you are selfish and you are the problem. Why aren't you working towards and contributing financially to the tax base so that all the things you want the government to pay for can happen? Why do you expect others to innovate, take risk, sacrifice? Stop complaining and do something about it...not words! Become the 1% and you can give all your earnings to the government if you like! Think of how happy that will make you!

    • @gregorioeduardo
      @gregorioeduardo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      BS comment... the poor pay their taxes, support their families and work hard... when they pay their fair share of taxes but the tax codes are skewed to aiding the rich to stay rich the poor class of society don't have a chance....

    • @laurel1865
      @laurel1865 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the dumbest comment. You are assuming people don’t work hard? You are assuming everyone is innovative and you are assuming everyone should be like everyone else, which is rich. If everyone made the same amount of money, you realize that would be communism, right?

    • @gregorioeduardo
      @gregorioeduardo 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@laurel1865 I actually believe that everybody making enough money to live their lives in the best way possible is a human right. We live in a society that has been blessed with more riches than any other time in the history of mankind. Yet we still have an oligarchy and rich people who don’t seem to realize that they have been fortunate and they have been innovative but there are so many more that haven’t had those opportunities for one reason or another.
      - there is absolutely nothing communist about wanting everybody to have the same as the rich.
      And you don’t understand communism at all. It was a failed experiment with the governments in China, Soviet union, the eastern bloc countries and many others in Africa. But the ideals of communism are what those governments never live up to.
      Communism was an ideology that everybody was equal. Without Any limitations of what all people could achieve.
      Capitalism got us where we are today with our riches. But capitalism has failed to help the people who have not been able to find a way to get rich.
      So if you were going to try to argue with me about capitalism versus communism, you’re going to lose that argument because you don’t know what you’re talking about. And that is the biggest problem with people like you and your comment. you spout things that you have heard from others. But it’s painfully obvious from your brief comment that you have never immersed yourself into the history of that ideology.
      - And I’m gonna say this again just so it’s crystal clear. Communism failed. And capitalism has failed. The reason is that humans are a species that have never learned from their past and frankly have a evolved very little throughout the millions of years.
      And then you have guys like no one in this video. He’s entitled to any believes he wants. So if you believe that a science-fiction writer who found a way to organize a so-called religion and enrich himself is something to be proud of, I feel sorry for you.
      If you believe that somehow aliens from another planet flew a aircraft similar to a DC 8 from their planet through the galaxy and dropped all these thetons into volcanos and then dropped a hydrogen bomb or something like that to seal them into these volcanoes there is something seriously weong in your head. In anybody’s head. Anybody that could believe this type of BS is just an idiot and a fool.
