I'd suggest you discuss with a proper advisor, particularly if you're new at investing or facing uncertainty. I personally have over 180 companies in my portfolio, so if few companies fail, I still have others that can hold me up.

Even if you’re not skilled, it is still possible to hire one. I was a project manager and my personal portfolio of approximately $720k of my retirement pension took a big hit in April due to the crash. I quickly got in touch with a financial-planner that devised a defensive strategy to protect my funds and make profit from my portfolio this red season. I’ve made over $250k since then.

Some people are not capable of becoming rich. They are meant to be salary-men because they don't have the right intelligence and drive. It's doesn't mean they aren't capable but some people are just meant to have a different place in society. Anyone can become upper-middle class by simply working really hard long hours. If you're willing to work 12 hours a day 7 days a week you will make good money regardless of intelligence. You won't necessarily be rich though.

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

    • @rannyorton

The best course of action if you lack ma-rket knowledge is to ask a consultant or invest-ing co-ach for guidance or assistance. Speaking with a con-sultant helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my port-folio to about 65% since January, even though I know it sounds obvious or generic. Which means that instead of buying a single family home where you live and pay the bank every month with interest and just wait for appreciation, why not buy multi-family properties and rent them out where you have your tenants pay the bank and pay you every month. That income is then used to pay for your residence and for other deals. And if you ever decide to sell in the future then you also gain appreciation. It’s a win-win-win.

Step 3 - Find a fast-moving marketplace to sell on
Step 4 - Become obsesses with profits and expanding. Never stop iterating

Owning a car or a house that does not earn you income is classed as a liability. You buy it, then you pay the bills, mot, service, tax, every year they get more expensive. You sink more and more money into upkeep. This is a poor use of your money. Lease means you get the car, you can get cheap leases and you never have to worry about other bills for that car. Same with real estate. Buy it and rent it out then if the rental cost is higher than your mortgage you generate cash flow this is good. If you buy a house and live in it then you have generated debt which has trapped you financially this is not good.

There are other property gurus who say buy your first place and rent it then buy your 2nd place and live in it. Main thing is you want to use the money you save to produce more money (make your money work for you by renting a place out) rather than just sitting on your money like in a savings account or in the house you live in. This is what the wealthy do they use their money to earn more money through cash flow from rental property whilst the tenants basically pay off your mortgage for you increasing your net worth.

Thanks Grant this is very valuable. Most people do not know how to handle money. I invested in real estate and after 1 year sold it with 100k profit. I did my research where in Europe where I'm from is the next place to invest. Portugal is a good option with high yields. Once I reach my first million I want to think how I can flip that to double, triple etc. It's about financial stability, security and to be able to enjoy life without constant worries. I still shop cheap because I do not care about buying a 100 USD shoe or jeans etc. I rather seek opportunity to invest in myself.

About 5 years ago at just over 40 y.o., I had about a mil, got in an accident, layed up in hospital and surgeries, multiple times over 2 years, got sued etc. I thought I was properly insured but I did something wrong as now I'm nearly broke, got to keep my home but I'm had to take a loan out on it. I was too proud to file bankruptcy..now thinking that was a bad idea too. Oh well, I'll use it to learn from and make more, not complaining or anything, I just wanted to let you know that he's right, a million's probably not enough to survive on especially if you have an accident or "bad luck, which everyone has, difference is your preparation and how well you respond to it.

    • @mrjoehimself

Exactly, the sooner we eliminate the concept of "retirement", the better. Don't even think of it in terms of "retirement", this of it as Step 2. Step 1 is to use your "job" to get the Golden Goose.. let's face it, you need income from SOMEWHERE first. Then when the "career" has elevated you to a point of stability, you are a self-sustaining well-oiled machine that can't be stopped. There is no such thing as "retirement".
