I sit here, 65 years old worked hard for so many years, kids grown - well educated, house paid for, no debt - bought a new vehicle and will pay off. But.....no savings for retirement. So mad at myself that I worked all these years and did not take care of my retirement. Just worked and the years flew. My kids live out of town and my enjoyment is to go see them and my grandkids. After listening to this podcast and others I look for a glimpse of what I can do now. I am exhausted and do not want to continue working. I am that employee that locks the door at the end of the day. Regrets now - that I did not take care of me - I just kept working. I hope people will read this and realize - time to take care of you!!! It’s our responsibility to do so.

Touch your inner space, which is nothingness manifestation.guide as silent and empty as the sky; it is your inner sky. Once you settle down in your inner sky, you have come home, and a great maturity arises in your actions, in your behavior. Then whatever you do has grace in it. You can do both, not everyone is all about the Benjamins because when you can tank an airline with a pandemic your investors panic when they don't get their money.
I don't see an airplane is practical when someone is a dick about their child. Shared parenting with someone you aren't deliberately upstaging. I want to live with daddy he's got a plane while mommy is trying to raise a child that isn't a narc and has humanity.

It's completely okay to be a billionaire, too! it's only the Marxists who are running wild today who make being rich into something that's bad. Money is just energy; it's neither good nor bad.

@@fredv6510 I'm assuming you're talking about money here? Its power comes from what people have agreed to assign to it. They're agreements that started off in 1:1 exchanges but become established when others agree to trade that way. For example, it's become established in certain areas that a 2-bedroom apartment with x square footage will rent for, say, $1600. The money is neither good nor bad, it's just a means of exchange. Does that clarify?

Celcus Over Plato 🤔👎One can always make $$ again if investment go down. Think of every one of your dollars 💵 working for you -even while you sleep 🛌 😴 That's the difference. It's like having a crew of people working making $$ for you 24/7. Not just what you make from your work daily.
And, instead of managing the funds yourself, having someone keep an eye on them for you who is certified in their work. I'd recommend not an independent person for beginners, or for average people. Instead, someone within their own financial institution to decrease chances for those people who run away with investors funds.
Most importantly, Financial Education is a must. At least basic information and keeping up to date.

I didn’t know anything about this but when I got my first job (age 22) all new employees had to go through orientation and the other 22 year old next to me told us what to do. 1. Stop trying to keep up with your neighbors, they are in debt
    2. Stop treating your money like social media...Don't spend it for the likes!
    3. If you don't have cash to buy something AND it isn't budgeted, you can't afford it (there is no shame in that, only wisdom)

So true brother. What keeps people poor is trying to keep up with the jones mentality. Trying to be with the cool kids; new clothes, new car, toys, etc. when they can't afford it (not in their budget). And when it comes time to take on business, investment risk, work, and time to make more money in the long run (not some get rich scheme, lotto ticket) - too lazy, scared, and unmotivated to do it. That's what keeps people poor.

I am rebuiliding myself to try to capture a stronger financial foot hold. Staying strong mentally is doable. Sometimes I slip into the bad dream experience due to my frustration and self blame. It's rough when you get bullied. I recommend to anyone earning big, take your time to leave and keep standing up for yourself even if your manager doesn't get you. And consider what personal changes you can make to fit in even a little if possible. And tunnel out to your best fit job. Don't leave too soon. Ageism is a challenge. Many blessings to this wonderful commenter reminding the importance of shifting attitude. My little story of my life is to say we all have hardship and if we dwell in that we may stay stuck. Good action motivated attitude plus the right connections can help make the changes we need. Many blessings for the patient soul who read this lengthy thought stream....

Important to distinguish good debt vs bad debt that's why debt backed up by a plan when there are assets backing up your loans to purchase cashflow creating assets and repeat the process that's when debt is strategically used but in general I agree because that's not how society is set up to be when it comes to debt it's assumed that we should all have it because our past generation had debts and because supposedly we're all alike we have to go through the same life process ( same mental masturbation people like to spew) however big downside is one perpetuates a losing pattern and habits consolidating the debts habit and a life of lack of abundance long term ... and that's why most are losing but they think they're winning because of instant gratification and justifying our choices ... real success comes from delayed gratification: doing what's hard first to build a solid set of assets, skills and winner personality then enjoy life from that built solid base

Reading through the posts I saw where my fellow Baby Boomers feel a bit discouraged, because many of us didn't practice wealth principles, and we now are not where we would like to be. I say let's keep positive and still see possibilities. I have learned that a positive frame of mind, keeps one's mind active and thinking.
Negativity dulls the mind and one's ability to think. Negativity makes you just want to sit and not do anything, except feel bad and helpless. We have experience and an abundance of life's lessons, to work from. Let's use it.

An old millionaire told me at a young age in a truck stop to add a zero to how I was thinking.
It made perfect sense. It did improve my thinking. A job was never the answer from that day on.
Always self employed. Never got mega rich, but rich in my own way. Doing what I want when I want. With the money to do it. No life worries. Spend poor. Think rich.
Add a zero to your thinking.

The first change has to be the mindset.
Wrong: be a lender to everyone coming by asking.
      Buying wants before needs.
Spending without restraint (stuff they don't need)

Also when you listen to successful men talk about how they became successful, they usually don't talk about what they did to become successful directly.they usually tell you a bunch of short stories in their lives that contains families and friends. It's like they're trying to get you to understand a specific mindset that they have and how that change, and that change is what made them successful. But it's rarely if ever do they talk about the actual process that created the success. Some of us will hear these stories and the light will switch on and we can see it like The matrix. The rest of us will only hear a bunch of short stories. It's like reading the Bible the message is in the short stories it's not a direct message. I personally love listening to these short stories it inspires me to create short stories of my own.

12:16. And he spoke a similitude to them, saying: The land of a certain rich man brought forth plenty of fruits.
12:17. And he thought within himself, saying: What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
12:18. And he said: This will I do: I will pull down my barns and will build greater: and into them will I gather all things that are grown to me and my goods.
12:19. And I will say to my soul: Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years. Take thy rest: eat, drink, make good cheer.
12:20. But God said to him: Thou fool, this night do they require thy soul of thee. And whose shall those things be which thou hast provided?
12:21. So is he that layeth up treasure for himself and is not rich towards God.
12:22. And he said to his disciples: Therefore I say to you: Be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on.
12:23. The life is more than the meat: and the body is more than the raiment.
12:24. Consider the ravens, for they sow not, neither do they reap, neither have they storehouse nor barn, and God feedeth them. How much are you more valuable than they?
12:25. And which of you by taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
12:26. If then ye be not able to do so much as the least thing, why are you solicitous for the rest?
12:27. Consider the lilies, how they grow: they labour not, neither do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these.
12:28. Now, if God clothe in this manner the grass that is to-day in the field and to-morrow is cast into the oven: how much more you, O ye of little faith?
12:29. And seek not what you shall eat or what you shall drink: and be not lifted up on high.
12:30. For all these things do the nations of the world seek. But your Father knoweth that you have need of these things.
12:31. But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his justice: and all these things shall be added unto you.
