How I Remove Paint Imperfections *buffing*

Paint is unforgiving when it comes to contaminants. Dust, lint, pollen, and other airborne problems are just waiting to land on your project. These are the steps I take to correct them.

Your technique as far as the physical nuances of the polisher and pad and even the sanding part are identical to mine. Are you by chance a southpaw? Not sure if you had mentioned how old the paint was. The masking shows that it’s fresh but how fresh?

Very different thing, but I'm repainting a guitar with spray cans. Was looking great until I sprayed the clear flat on it, and the can spit out some larger drops here and there onto the guitar body, which I didn't realize until after I'd sprayed the whole coat. There are a dozen or so of the larger drops on the finish, each a few millimeters in diameter. Will this process work for that kind of thing too? Thanks.

Spray can clear lays a lot thinner and is more susceptible to chemicals and staining. I would not recommend cab clear and buffing but it can be done. Sand with 2000 to 3000 and you can hand buff it from there. Next time for the clear coat I'd try and take it to a professional car painting place for them to apply. Much more durable and easily buffable.

It's that a ordinary angle grinder? isn't to high in RPM for buffing?
