  • Seating my new R8 adaptor into my new Jacobs chuck! This is what I feel is the right way to mate an adaptor to a chuck that has a taper seat that you DONT want to come apart.

Those super chucks are the real deal. Pretty much dont even the chuck key on smaller sizes. Looking forward to the " lift kit"

I have a couple of them and really like them! I am excited to get that riser installed, maybe it'll be another quick video.

I have the 5/8" size chuck. Love it. I haven't used the heat/cool method when doing tapers. Just clean, clean, clean. One thing I never do is to apply a lubricant to the taper.

I would never use any heavy lubricant for sure. Living in Wisconsin and having a constant battle with rust on everything it just comes natural to lube everything with some sort of lube. I am certain with the thermal contraction all of that wd was pushed out.

Fire plus chlorinated brake cleaner will do very bad things to your lungs

Not only in your lungs but your brain as well. Being a fabrication shop I do not allow chlorinated brake cleaner to be in the shop.
