    Took me awhile to get used to the clutch on my 2016 sti. For reverse, i usually tap on the gas to bring the rpm up to around 2k rpm then slowly release the clutch and repeat.

    Bro Im on my second sti. Had a fully built 06 amd now a brand new 2020 i got 7 months ago. Leave it in intelligent during the break in period which is 1k miles. I know it sounds crazy but just be patient. Do an oil change at 1k. Then religiously every 3k. Though manual says 6k but hellll no. Use 5w40 synthetic oil. Not 5w30. These cars are very finicky. Tteat her right and take good care and she will reward u. Congrats and enjoy her.
    Ps: after the break in perhaps do a catback. It will not Void your warranty guranteed. These cars are way too quiet from the factory. Plus you gotta hear the boxer rumble. I suggest get the tomei which is what I have. It sounds absolutely amazing. Since you have a white one definitely do tints and a front lip for sure.

    Hey how's your car so far... Remember you were saying reverse is a bit hard? I had an issue too, I was trying to back up and park on the drive way right in front of the garage, the space is just enough for a car. So I back in alright with the rate wheel up on the driveway .. when it comes to the front wheel , I was stuck and not getting up because I didn't want to gas too much and then hit the garage door...I was kind of putting on some gas and afraid to release fully on clutch and the car might just fly and knock the door..So I tried few times and gas up and didn't release clutxh fully .. finally made it but as soon as fully up on drive way I smelled something burned which I guess I was riding the clutch .. but just once and I guess and hope I didn't do much damage on clutch

    Nice video.. I got mine in white as well last month .. same issue .. Clutch is definitely something you need to get uses to it.. I stalled few times when reverse as well ... Can't really just let the clutch goes without giving little gas when reverse.. when you were driving up the parking lot .. were you using 2nd gear the whole time? .. also your mirror has compass.. did you add extra for that? Mine didn't have that ... Anyway nice video .. you will have fun

    • @novaGRCircuit
      @novaGRCircuit  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a loaded question. My next video will actually be why I chose the STI over the CTR, but in short, CTR is a better performing car but I prefer the look and feel of the STI. But definitely test drive both if you can. I don’t think a dealer will let you test drive a new type r but see if you can find a place selling a used one and will let you get it out on the road

      White can be a little dull or boring however it is the easiest to keep clean and defects aren’t as apparent in the paint long term. Before my 21 Sti in CWP, I had a lapis blue Wrx, beautiful color but I could not keep it clean and the scratches showed big time. Dark colors are awesome if garaged and highly maintained.
