I really like this project bc the 300z gets no love. The back bumper looks really cool. I don’t think your gonna hear alot of flack on it like the S2000 bumper.
You gotta go a bigger engine on the Z, the longer wheelbase is meant for top speed. A 2+0 I could see rocking an SR, but a 2+2? That needs a boosted V10
defiinitely would love to see updates on the body work. I hope you guys go with Cobalt Green Pearl. It's the only color both the S14 and the 300zx share. Especially cause of the SR20DET Swap.
After watching the majority of the builds you guys have done over the years, builds like this are my favorite. Half restoration, half modification. I feel like cars like this are more relatable to most of us (financially) and really helps to build motivation to attempt something like this ourselves. Great work guys. Excited to see what Quinn does with the engine build.
It would be cool to find a company (streethunter) to make a one piece carbon t-top cover. You'd have to make it go over the center bar but it would eliminate a lot of leak points in the t-tops
Mickey quick thing if you want to save your corded tools cord from breaking close to the handle pull down a few inches and then wrap it up. A little strain relief instead of bending it so tight that close to the tool. trust me I learned the hard way from doing just that. 7:07 to 7:12 on the vid. Love your content!
Holy crap the timing of this is unbelievable, I recently just bought a 240sx with a sr20det already swapped into it and I'm currently putting in a body kit and having it primed and resprayed!
Good work! Question though what happens if moisture gets to the inner part of the aerial mount that you welded over? Won’t it rust from the inside out?

If possible though I would love to get those side skirts and that rear bumper cover would be great I already have my front bumper on the way! Love the fact we chose the same time to pick up a z32 can't wait to see if your sr20 Z32 will be like Mike's or Jimmy Oakes!

If you werent replacing the rear glass in the hatch before, you will be now! Ricky should have covered the glass before welding and grinding near it. It will be so pitted from sparks.
I had some beat up pinch welds and i fixed them with a hammer and dollie. The sub-frame connectors i have needed to be welded to the pinch weld. Ricky, i would have covered that back glass. Welding so close to it will allow welding splatter to pit the glass. Love that Stillen kit, but where's the wing?
I can’t find the body kit for the zx on their website. Sucks they didn’t tune up the N/A motor that would of been so cool man. Guess I’ll have to do it myself 😂

Dude you need a new glass guy he's messy and sloppy I do that for a living and I tell u this he wouldn't be on my crew cause I fire people for cold knifing windows cause it has a high possibility of scratching the paint and possibly damage other things I get it's going to paint but it's the principal of the hole thing.
A nice midnight purple 3 paint or a candy color like red candy with a nice 18in 5 spoke wheel to show off the painted calipers maybe two tone seats i cant wait to see it finished just looks like a awsome project love your vids i look forward to them everyday

I’ve seen other channels builds that get welding slag on backglass and shatter it. Just suggesting maybe cover the glass when welding near?

Carbon tops already exist, mission z japan is the only one still producing them right now I believe.

Aero latches are on backwards. As a safety if you forget to fully latch them the wind will catch and pull it back. Love the build tho

Definitely not a fan of the 2+2. Side Profile not beautiful like the shorter base version. Shame
If you jack a 300zx along the pinch rail, you willl bend the frame and the front fender will bulge .

It’s not the best front bumper easily the 99 front end front bumper is wayyy better and the Z1 front bumper miles away better
