Some of these exploits seem so precise with so many steps it makes me wonder how anyone could've just stumbled upon them in the first place.

Most of the time I think it's because they're aware of the game's mechanics and how they can go in combination with others to screw up the game entirely.
The elaborate ones are probably built up over time by all sorts of different game masters. lol
I’d say people make tool assisted runs that play around with the mechanics and then figure out ow to trigger them with human input

I found an exploit in Mario and Luigi partners in time recently. *large inhale* Go to Sroob Castle, find a Soul Bubble , then kill all of the Shroob Rexs. Once that's done, throw ONE fireball or ice ball at ONE Soul Bubble to do EXTREMELY low damage to it. The damage you do should be about half of how much HP the revived Shroob Rex has. Repeat until all Soul Bubbles are dead. The reasoning for this comment's existence is to tell you an INSANELY easy way to get 100-Point Pants and EXP. I haven't found an exploit for Shroobsworth and Intern Shroobs, but it probably works the same way.
Oh, and you can throw fire/ice balls at the revived Shroob Rex to save time.

In Minecraft, you can get infinite snowballs by positioning a snow golem on the line in between two blocks. Mine the layer of snow on the ground with a shovel, and hold the button down.
It's a shame that snowballs are locked to stacks of 16 though, so you're going to have to craft them up to blocks or store them very frequently while doing it. They fill up your inventory _very fast._

And I fucked it up. Lvl 3 caterpie vs 4 lvl 9 pokemon takes WAY too long.
If you haven't gotten very far, you can get a level 100 Mew. It's kind of similar to that glitch, just with an Abra and someone with Growl (it's a combination of this glitch and the infamous Mew Glitch). If you already know the Mew Glitch, it's the same, but you have to fight the first trainer in Misty's Gym or the first avoidable one facing north after Nugget Bridge. Use Growl until it has no effect, then proceed as normal. Bring a ton of pokeballs. Since there are low-level Pokemon in the tall grass near the area, you can probably get it to level 100 easily.

I'm a programmer too and i always wondered how you can create 3D Graphics from scratch.
Haven't decided, but most likely 3D as that's actually simpler these days, particularly for animation purposes.. You can do it by programming down at the driver/API level, but generally you don't do that, you pick an API to build on such as XNA, etc..

my favorite glitch/exploit is the clone glitch in Pokemon Emerald. If you did the cloning correctly, you could mass produce items. Same with pokemon, too. TRY AND BEAT MY PARTY OF SIX GROUDONS!!!!!!

+Rusty Shackleford The best Pokemon glitch is the 20% Shiny Pokemon glitch in all the gen 4 games. All you need to do is make sure you SID (Secret ID) and your ID (Trainer ID) match, and have a pokemon with cute charm in the front of your party. It is easiest to pull this off in Pokemon HG/SS because you need a shiny pokemon to see your SID, and in those games, you get a Shiny Gyarados.

While watching the bit about the Witcher's economy destruction exploit, I was reminded of two economy destruction-style exploits I was pretty fond of: the W-Item trick from FF7 and the Gravard Compass synthesis in Ar tonelico. Basically either of those will allow you to just sort of mint money (or just about anything in the W-Item's case). W-Item is a little less useful since you get it so late in the game, but I think I'd like Ar tonelico (and its prices) a lot less if not for how early you get access to the Gravard Compass grathmeld recipe. Makes things a LOT easier.

+Kyle Smith There are also some better exploits in Skyrim and Oblivion, but it's hard to keep track of everything. For example, make a potion that fortifies alchemy, drink it, and make another one. This potion is stronger than the first because your alchemy is fortified. Keep doing that and you can make an insanely powerful potion. then you can use that to make an insanely powerful potion of fortifying enchanting or smithing to make overpowered items. And since leveling up depends on how powerful the stuff you make is, it's also a great way to level up superfast.
In Oblivion the search clone exploit allows you to get unobtainable items like the Emperor's robes. Combined with cloning yourself you can get copies of quest items. There's also that door behind the wall in the Imperial district that gets you to the end of the game.
Heh...the potion tricks...can also do with by fortifying enchanting/blacksmithing and making insanely strong armor with uber nechants.

turn the settings to legendary difficulty then hit him til you lv up once
then put one point into sneak
sneak attack repeatedly and you'll level up very fast do that till lv 100 then put it to legendary to reset your perks rinse and repeat til you get to the desired level hope this was useful

Top exploit of all time. Starseige: Tribes "Skiing".
It was quickly found out in that mod that if you held down jump when you landed, you would get stuck in the terrain, jumping forward, moving faster and faster till you let go of the jump button (space). It COMPLETELY changed the dynamic of the game, allowing people to keep their momentum and actually increase it so much they could literally traverse the map in seconds.
Why is it the top exploit? Dynamix saw, it, though it was cool and made it the DEFINING characteristic of the series in terms of movement.
Haven't that infinite jump glitch in Sonic boom been patched out?

In several Mario Kart games the drift gives you a little jump at first which is not just an animation, it actually makes you jump and on certain levels you can use it to jump over small lava pits.
You don't need a plate to do the Whiterun chest glitch in Skyrim. Just go to the area directly to the right of the entrance and jump off of the barrel. Eventually you'll get to the window. Sneak and you'll pop out and then you perform the glitch as normal. There's also an invisible chest in Dawmstar between to rocks to the left of the mine entrance. And drinking a fortify restoration potion increases the effectiveness of enchantments and will continue to do so if you unequip and then re-equip your gear. Then make some fortify enchanting and smithing potions with your temporary OP alchemy gear and you'll have a one shot kill dagger with infinite uses. Just don't go too far with enchantments and potions since it will drop it down to 1% if your strength is too high.

I remember an exploit in Mario Kart WiiU. It's an exploit o move at hyper speed. It's only possible on the city map(to my knowledge)
In order to pull it off, you want to select a bike, then you use the surfboard truck to ramp yourself between the guard rails. If done correctly, you will begin to zoom through the course in seconds. The exploit also works on the bob-ombs.
Here is a skyrim exploit you could have used:
Travel to Dawnstar and enter the inn, wait a few days till the Khjit merchants arrive and set up camp. immediately turn around and go to the left of Iron-breaker mine and in the trees will be an invisible chest hidden under the ground there, take what you want then return to the khjit merchant and enter shop menu then exit and click wait 24 hours then speak to merchant, get back out and wait another 24 hours and speak to them one more time. turn around and go back to the invisible chest and it will be restocked with all their items. rinse and repeat till you are happy.
works on all consoles and pc (could just console it but meh), Normal Skyrim, the Legendary Edition and the remake Special Edition.

One of the most ridiculous game glitches I've personally been able to replicate was the mirror glitch on the Gameboy Advanced version of the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Basically, in some spots inside certain dungeons, if you jump off a ledge and use the magic mirror at the same time (and you know you've done it right if Link yells during the mirror effect), it'll send you back to the entrance like normal. However, if you've done it right, you can use the pegasus boots to dash into a wall which sends you into the floor. Once you're here, you can go to literally any inside area in the game. You can go from the Eastern Palace to the Dark Palace and get the hammer at the beginning of the game. You can use this glitch to get the Titan Glove. You can turn the level 1 sword into the level 3 sword. If you go from the Dark World to the Light World, you can get the Level 4 sword and the silver arrows without getting the super bomb. You can completely bypass the first Aghanim fight. In fact, the only bosses you actually have to beat to win the game like this are the Armos Knights, Aghanim 2, and Gannon. If you do this, you can also go through the whole game (with the exception of Gannon) swordless. Basically, this one minor glitch allows you to completely break the game.

You can use a wider variety than just plates and platters to glitch through walls in Skyrim. Buckets are my favorite to use. You can even fall through the ground if you have a lot of items all bunched together, lagging the game.

SpaceHammy, the difficult dodge exploit in SSB MELEE is done by always holding down and pressing jump & dodge (L or R).

Another exploit in Skyrim is you can glitch into Castle Volkihar by running into the gate while holding out a wooden plate, which I did because I did not get some dialogue I was supposed to, so the gate would not open

During blood on ice, after finding the strange amulet, accept Calixo's offer to buy it from you for 500 gold
Then simply pickpocket it back from him, and then sell again

Sonic 3 has a similar exploit to the Mario infinite lives one, but far easier to pull off. Simply stand in one of the siren blocks (the things that sound a siren and summon a badnik when you walk through it), ready a spin dash with down and jump...and just stay there. Don't release the spin dash. The badniks will spawn infinitely, each racking up more points each time until you start earning lives.
My favorite Skyrim out of bounds glitch is the one in Windhelm because you can consistently run into a dragon and because you're out of bounds it's a little glitchy and very hilarious.
If Link already wears green and then plays the sword like an ocarina, shouldn't a dragon come out of the sea?

In Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker, you can do a spin attack in the air during a jump attack to essentially double the jump attack's power. (It's pretty OP)

honestly i can't remember the settings but if you want a racing game exploit i have one for you. if you get a powerful car in gran turismo 3 (at least 750hp) and you tune the suspension just right, the car will lift its front wheels in the air and you could do 900mph+! however the exploit is really only any good on the test course track
I know about a cool ocarina of time exploit, but im pretty sure that most people know it. Go into the door right after the bridge into Hyrule Castle Town, AKA where the ghost shop is as Adult Link. Break all the pots for rupees, then go back in. All the pots will still exist, and have Rupees. Infinite money.
(You still gotta waste time breaking pots and only get about 30 rupees per time, but its still infinite)

There is this exploit in the division where you can get more than 4 people into a challenge, and doing this allows you to absolutely shred through challenge mode.
In Skyrim there is also an exploit to make better potions using potions that you made better using potions.
The finished product... destruction spell damage increased by 9672%

i like skyrims smithing enchanting exploit where you stack up smithing and enchanting effects to make op items.
My favorite is adding soultrap to any spell in Morrowind to make the effects of the spell permanent

15:52 basically, this is another version of the Mew Glitch! Which, btw, is one of the only two on game methods to get a Missingno., and the only one that wasn't patched in any versiun of any gen 1 game.
Also, the Mew Glitch, if done with enough awareness, can completely destroy the game.

There's an exploit in the original Two Worlds where if you aggro the game's antagonist in the starting village and get him to aggro the townspeople by dodging a fireball aimed at you and it hits a villager, the townspeople will attack the antagonist and you'll beat the game in 10 minutes or less.
