Andrew it would have been great if you concentrated on the horror and sci-fi covers. Has there ever been a book published on the horror titles?😁

I love all kinds of books (in particular, Penguins), so I am always going to be reviewing anything I happen to be reading at the time. I am not restricting the channel down to a narrow band of books, so perhaps not every video will be of interest. I have done ones about my issues of 'Homes and Gardens', that is a very limited interest one but I still love those mags !!
As to sci fi covers and horror ones, I have done some in the past but I don't have a huge range of books on those. I don't know if there if there is 'horror book covers' book around though there have been many books featuring horror book covers along with pulps etc. There is a SF book out soon 'Worlds Beyond Time: Sci-Fi Art of the 1970s' that I will be getting. I loved 'Rayguns and Rocketships: Vintage Science Fiction Book Cover Art' etc and I have reviewed that in the past. If anyone knows of a really excellent 'Horror Book Covers' book' please recommend one

Hey, found your channel recently and have discovered some real gems - thanks. Interesting how you kind of need to know the titles to locate these sorts of books. On that note, I have a few in my collection that you appear not to have, and I think you'd be interested. They are: Paperback Hell, The Art of Pulp Horror (one of a series, and you'd probably find all three interesting), True Crime Detective Magazine (Taschen, edited by Dian Hanson) , Men's Adventure Magazines (Taschen , "the Rich Oberg Collection") and finally, not a book but the Penguin Science Fiction Postcards box is amazing.
      👍

I have a lot of those (crime, pulp horror etc), just haven't reviewed them. I really should get that Paperback Hell one. Thanks for the info

Another great video. I have some of these books and want a lot more of them. Another one you might want to take a look at is “The Hooded Gunman - The Illustrated History of Collins Crime Club”. It’s got over 2000 crime covers in it from the 30s until the 90s when the club ended, and it’s fascinating to see the evolution of book cover design over the years.

Yes, got that book, it is an excellent edition. Will do a review of that at some point. Forgotten about including that in my list of books / publishers - don't think I bought that many Collins books over the years
