I struggled with blight in a similar climate. Much research later the organism that causes it seems to live in the ground.. so when it rains and water bounces back up to the leaves is the primary way it spreads. I mulched with fresh straw that later got the soil on made it better. It was more successful than anything else. However, the copper is the best if you have no straw. Also incredibly good for tomatoes to stop blight
Have you eaten a sweet potato tops? I had never eaten them until I lived in Asia. They are so nutritious that they’re extremely highly recommended for pregnant women in rural areas. I really liked them.
