The reason that Askin stood around longer than his stronger peers is that he has a much stronger foundational personality- Lille is a crazed fanatic beneath his stoic facade, Perinda is an instinctive beast, and Gerard is impulsive- all of them are carried by their powers.
Askin has realistic expectations of himself and the ability to think outside the box to build the mental fortitude to not break under pressure like the others when the usual thing doesn’t work.
Gerard was the last Quincy to be left alive. I understand what u mean but those 3 also were like that cuz they were basically gods with askin being the most human like of the 4

I love how Askin's Deathdeaing takes an ability as simple as poison manipulation and makes it scientific, resulting in it being much more versatile and deadly. Definitely one of my favorite Schrifts.

No, I'd say it's scientific. Usually poison manipulation is just creating some undefined poison and sending it at enemies, but Askin can selectivey change what is and isn't a poison, meaning that he understands that a 'poison' is just the lethal dose of something in whatever it was used on..@@johnraydelacruz2585
I honestly think it was such a missed opportunity to not have Mayuri and askin face eachother. It would have truly been an interesting fight.

Making anything poisonous is already scary enough, but the fact that he managed to drop TS Ichigo with Gift Bad is on a whole another level (TS Ichigo is stated by Yhwach to be the strongest Ichigo has ever been or gaining his past peak power so TS Ichigo should be relative to Mugetsu, and yet The Deathdealing still works on him)
Kodok Besar huh? Did you know when TS Ichigo fight askin his reiatsu was surpressed to the highest level and ichigo just release it when he fight yhwach.
My guy ichigo was suppressing his spiritual pressure at that time otherwise he'd have easily negate it

Well he did specifically target the reishi around them.
I love Nakk Le Varr as a character, he's much like Stark and Shunsui and such a treat to have on screen. His power is even more awesome.

Askin's ability is one of the coolest among the Sternritters. That, along with his charismatic personality, makes him one of the most memorable villains of the series.
Yhwach's elite guard Askin Nakk Le Vaar is my favorite Sternritter. Most because he's resembly with Sōsuke Aizen look a like! 🥰

I'd like to see characters with poison resistance or poison immunity like let's say Killua, Sukuna, and others to go up against Askin who can turn anything poisonous
Askin can just “aight your blood is now poisonous to you” just like he use on oetsu. Bcs askin is not injecting poison into someone body but he turn something important in a body into something lethal to a body system.
You really didn't understand his powers. He can turn your own blood lethal for you, he can also make your sp lethal for you and can be immune to your sp

Grimmjow gets one shot by Askin but people still thinks he can beat him 1v1
TBF Askin did fuck him up so hard when he died that Grimmjow no longer gets one shot since he has gained an innate resistance to basically all poisons, so in a modern CFYOW rematch Grimmjow might stand a chance if he can 1 shot him again, but still might kick the bucket albeit after a much while longer since he has his on death effect. unless Nel gives him some of the magic drool again like she did him and Urahara. I do love Askin WAY more then Grimmjow though, shame Askin was not a surviving sternriter, but he was at the end of it all a fucked up person willing to let billions die for curiosity of seeing what his Majesties World would look like so it makes sense he got taken out.
@@C0wsmacker We're talking TYBW, in CFYOW Grimmjow was only compared to Nnoitra and was stated to be still under Barragan. Askin still has the speed advantage.
yeah I agree, I am just stating POSSIBILITIES, pretty sure Askin would just not let himself die in 1 hit since he never expected Grimmjow to begin with since he already thought he dealt with him, and Grimmjow got a perfect chance to strike due to Uraharas Bankai allowing them to 4D chess Askin down. @@0eyes

Brooo Askin is absolutely goated, he’s entertaining and has one of the most op and interesting abilities. Which we couldve seen more of him vs Grimmjow
but the ending to the fight was satisfying im jjs saying i wish they gave Grimmjow more screemtime.

My favorite sternritter
0:37 this one hits home a little too much for me as I’ve just lost my mum to an aortic aneurysm so thanks TH-cam I really needed to see this 😡 but anyway about 2 to 3 years ago my mum was rushed into hospital after going unresponsive, with the blessing of hindsight I know can say it was triggered by her standing up to go bed which lowered her blood pressure and made it so blood wasn’t getting to her brain, she was finally found to be missing around 4 pints of blood that they couldn’t find a reason for (I am quite sure it’s incompetence from her GP that despite her getting regular blood tests somehow they failed to spot she had anaemia) she essentially drowned on dry land because she wasn’t getting oxygen to her brain this destroyed her short term memory but it could have been much worse.
So losing two litres of blood is still survivable but I would really recommend against it as it’s going to really miss you up.
On a lighter note it makes you wonder how these anime characters survive their nose bleeds 😂 as that’s got to be way more that two litres.
The Death Dealing is an ability based on toxicology. The original father of toxicology is Paracelsus-16th century. The modern toxicology reference point is Mathieu Joseph Bonaventure Orfila-19th century. Their work included research on poisoning and lethal quantities (doses).

I honestly can't wait to see grimjow rip out askin's heart that's going to probably going to be one of the most graphic scenes that we are going to get in the anime
He's lethal and put two of the saga's most powerful combatants into the death zone for perhaps the first time in their lives, yet his curiosity at what world Yhwach was planning to return really makes him stand out.
Indeed. He stands out as much more reflective and intelligent member of Yhwach's army, when compared to his contemporaries. His dry wit and sly approach to combat made him a fitting foe for Kisuke, who shares many of the same qualities.
I wish Kubo keep him alive. He is such an endearing character
The reason why so many fell victim to Askin was because they underestimated him. Everyone just blindly charged at him. Making it easy for him.
I dare to say Mayuri would have done a better job against Askin than Urahara. He is the most careful dude around. Even without spilling the beans Mayuri would somehow figure out his ability and his Bankai would give birth to a perfect counter.
Both won due to a associate but Nemu is Mayuri's creation. The espada are Aizen's creation.
It would be interesting to see how Askin would hold up against Yamamoto.
He’d be a crisp
Well not as broken as the Balance, the Miracle, the X-axis and the Visionary, Death Dealing is a power that can create poison and immunity for Askin out of any substance including Spiritual Pressure. Even Yoruichi's Thunder God Cat Form wasn't enough to kill him until a sucker punch from Grimmjow did him in. Askin deserves credit for taking out Ichigo at his best.

Askin beats Yamamoto cause he will live long enough to adapt his reiatsu
It’s kinda broken ability “the ability to adapt to anything that hits him so he becomes immune to it afterwards” (meaning if you cannot kill him in that one strike them then that one ability won’t work again in him)
He takes the term “what doesn’t kill your makes you stronger” to a new level.
Plus the ability to change the things that are essential and needed to live for other beings and make them toxic is insane.x
So he is mahoraga but has offensive capabilities and a little less possibility of being defeated as the case with mahoraga is if attack with a flurry not giving chance to adapt or just finishing it one shot but ask in just basically become invincible to the person if he analysed u

I agree that Askin's battle was rushed in the end. There was a sense that Kubo wanted to do more with the match-up of The Death-Dealing against Kisuke's bankai. But, as with a lot of material, he just didn't have time. So I hope that confrontation is expanded upon in the anime.
TDD is as interesting as Askin himself. Weaponising an inherit balance and reiatsu is such a cool idea, what with the being core concepts in Bleach, and fits a shifty but charismatic villain like Askin.

Also Gerard's sword Hofnung is probably a world play on a norse mythology sword called Skoffnung which contained the spirits of 12 Berserkers.
It does make sense though since Grimmjow is a Hollow, regardless extended fight scenes within the anime are gonna help improve the the TYBW

So i got a thought i have to share.
Askin's last name kinda sounds like a word play on Naglfar, the ship made from nail of the dead which is carrying Loki and his undead army to Vigrid for Ragnarok.. so what i am saying is that Naglfar is the ship of Death, Askin is the vessel of death with his ability.
So why wasn't Grimmjow affected by the gift ball deluxe when he entered it ? I thought it poisoned everything within it.
I think what was shown in mamga is enough. There is no limit to what we want. We have many wishes. Every battle has not be long. It can be sometimes tough, tricky and short.

Am I only one who tought in Bleach Thousand Year Blood War Cour 1 trailer over 1 year ago in fall 2022 Sternritter D Askin Nakke Le Vaar in a first picture of Yhwach and it's army Askin Nakke would be Aizen just because he have that Aizen-like hairstyle but my good friend who's Bleach fan too said to me he's not Aizen and I believed he but somehow that hairstyle was let me to think that in fall 2022 when Thousand Year Blood War was launched, it makes me to feel an old to thinking it's almost 1 and half, in fall 2 years when Thousand Year Blood War started and now after Cour 1 and 2, we'll waiting for Cour 3 and i'm so excited it's happening in this year 2024 can't wait. Askin's poisonous power is really an interesting and he dosen't die that easily, Askin is 1 of the strongest and he's personality is funniest and cooliest at the same time in Yhwach's Quincy army. Why every Quincies almost no one than Ishida haven't bows and arrows in Yhwach's army? I'm so excited 1 of the best Arrancar Grimmjow's coming back, it would be interesting to see Grimmjow's as Ichigo's side. Yoruichi's the most beautiful and powerful female character in Bleach, can't wait to see her catvlooking Goddes of Thunder form i'm so excited!
