  • A look at my experience going to a long DW board and how it's totally changed my enjoyment of DW foiling.
    It's been a real turning point in my progression and I'm loving it more then ever.
    Consider getting an Amos Bullet through the Website or your local retailer. Custom dimensions available on request.
    Whoever you buy your DW board from. Stop being scared of going to long. Be scared of going to short.
    Huge thanks to Josh Lean and Trevor King for the Drone footage contributions. Couldn’t do it without your help!

    Really nice work Dave. I'm looking forward to building a DW board and the bullet concept is very interesting and progressive, Amos and the team seem to be always innovating, especially with the displacement hull of this board. Seeing the dimensions that you use and checking through the video how well it works for you is very motivating. I live in the Basque Country and there is no one here doing ocean DW runs so it is being difficult for me to see live boards with my own eyes and this video of yours is very nutritious to learn and better understand the bullet. Thank you!🤙🍀

    Nice work mate, cool to see your progression and stoked you finally got on a bigger board and to see it helped you downsize so much!

    Thanks for your efforts in producing these videos Dave. Really appreciated! I'm currently on a 6'10 x 20 x 90L for my 67kg which has worked great for my local wind against tide DW conditions but now thinking of heading into more open ocean conditions. Would you go for a +50 volume to weight version of the Bullet if you were my size or would you scale the other dims too?

    Hey Dave, I should be getting my Bullet sometime next month (stoked for it!). Just wondering where your mast placement is compared to your Sultan (I ride Axis too), about the same foil to foil? or are you typically moving your mast a bit further forward/back compared to where it would be with the Sultan?

    What was your board dimensions when you started? What dimensions would you recommend for a 60kg beginning to learn DW without no paddle experience with a large foil.

    thanks for the specifics of the video, im 93kg and live in cancun, mexico, only wind swell, 15kt to 25kt, short period waves, you think the same specs of yourd board apply to these conditions?

    • @davewestfoils
      @davewestfoils  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Makes life easier but it looks like you don’t get ground swells. So might not be necessary.

    • @fmartinez19
      @fmartinez19 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, thats right, the ground sweel here is minimal, the majority of the time is only wind swell 15 to 20kts most of the time , what do you think would be the right mesurments for this conditions?
