That drive pulley needed serious rebuilding as well,- going to chew through belts. They really butchered the rim getting it off. Big job but they got it done in the end. Could do with a giant press for this work. Not a good idea to hammer expensive bearings directly, could have made a frame and jacked them in.
You must heat the rim of the pulley to expand the bore. Heating around the hub just makes it tighter! Get about 4 men with big torches heating the rim at once. Have your puller preset and loaded.
Not only that, but they got welders and cut-off wheels… they could make much nicer tools to jostle this stuff than what they got (barely anything). I’m sure there’s enough junk they can repurpose for that.
No, it has been proven time and time again, not only by experience in loosening stuck stuff, but also by actually measuring holes in heated plates. The hole gets bigger. Also, the heating and cooling helps to draw the penetrating oil into the crack. And finally, it is also understandable by analyzing the physics and geometry. Then the immediate area is heated, the metal expands in all directions and the expansion in the direction around the circumference of the rim causes the hole to expand. Again, not just theory. Measured result.

My mechanic heart makes a jump always when i see u using a steel hammer on bearings and bearing rolls. Otherwise, u did a great job, and it was unbelievable how hard this shaft was stucking.
Yeah. I'm betting it was too big when it was originally assembled and they thought, fuck it, we'll MAKE it fit.
@@leonptr Something like this, or..maybe, in pakistan (??) they have found the strongest metal glue ever.
The repaired assembly will not last as long as it should unless proper lubrication and cleaning is performed.
This video was amazing to watch. Very hard-working men,Thank you!
I love watching what these guys can do with the tools available, but don't they know you have to remove the key first?
LAZAWAB,,👍👍 BAHUT KHOOB,👍👆
I am full of admiration for their determination and commitment. BUT the safety. Is non-existent. Thier blind faith amazing. Loved the video.
Their OSHA rep was on vacation that day.
Those guys taught me that there is nothing impossible!
Who else thought they were about to drop that thing off a mountain? lol
I understand that you guys do this often. However friction fitting like this, the two pieces are one. The pulley needs to be 100+, shaft cooler. But it was a fantastic vid.
Cierto con baja temperatura también es posible
Love this! Really well edited together!
Once again, the age old adage applies- "Necessity is the mother of invention." Kudos guys! GREAT WORK"
WHO IN THIS FIELD OF WORK USES "KUDOS". KINDA GAY DON'T YOU THINK ?
@@CON10NDOR Who types with the capslock on. Kinda dumb don't you think?
@@Dooguk WHEN YOU PAY FOR A KEYBOARD FOR ME I WILL TYPE THE WAY YOU WANT. UNTIL THEN SHUT YOUR FACE. I SEE THE CAPS BETTER. EVER THINK OF THAT MR SKULL CAP KNOW IT ALL PARASITE.
At first, I wanted to say ,"why can't they just scrap everything away, " seeing the condition of the wheels and the shaft; now I see that everything is being re-machined . I am a mechanical fitter I learned a lot today. A mechanic never runs out of ideas.
We use heat and dry ice. We also use rosebud heaters in place of the oxygen torches...little surprised they didn't clean the shaft before welding. seen plenty of porosity...but all things being equal they doing what they can...
Yup boil bearings in oil and dry ice the shaft..did many 500s powerscreens
Way to go Yeah!! Persaverance always works Outstanding work!!Nothing is to tough for you guys!Your boss owes you all a drink,or diner
Buenas noches, excelente trabajo, ingenio y esfuerzo. ¡Cuando se quiere, se puede! Felicidades.
These are true craftsmen, always thinking of a solution! Most enjoyable and relaxing to watch!
Unbelievable works, my respects to these guys.
I like when people put in more efforts to make things work.
They are able to do so much with so little. Practical and inventive thinking. Quite impressive.
Not our western style to " buy a new one " 100% respect from 🇫🇮👍

That drive pulley needed serious rebuilding as well,- going to chew through belts. They really butchered the rim getting it off. Big job but they got it done in the end. Could do with a giant press for this work. Not a good idea to hammer expensive bearings directly, could have made a frame and jacked them in.
Yes, I couldn't believe it when they started pounding on the edge of the pulley. I would have been fired for that.
i was looking for this comment honestly. i wonder if its possible to remachine the pulley or maybe they need a new one 🙄
Biggest respect to these very hard working men.
You are all the real heroes of technology I appreciate your work. I myself a mechanical engineer .
Heavy engineering at it very best. Well done guys.
Thanks 🙏

You must heat the rim of the pulley to expand the bore. Heating around the hub just makes it tighter! Get about 4 men with big torches heating the rim at once. Have your puller preset and loaded.
Yeah. It's caveman engineering this.
Saya selalu kagum castum kerjanya the best
You are very right,,,
Not only that, but they got welders and cut-off wheels… they could make much nicer tools to jostle this stuff than what they got (barely anything).
Much respect. I wonder if the crushing and screening plant was down until the primary jaw crusher was repaired?
That's real meaning of never give up! Beautiful!
this is best Pakistani suspense movie 🍿 i ever seen 😎

Das ist ein Steinbrecher.
When the repairs were actually started, so did my non stop cringing, wow, so many no no's and they did them all. Hard work isn't always smart work...I'm still stunned and trying to grasp what I saw
I was worried for their limbs and fingers so many times haha. This is how it works when the budget for the repair is $34.
@@mybleachhouse A lot more only in welding electrodes !!! 😄
The hardest working men on the planet right here. Them some big ass hammers yall swinging! Much respect to all you men, from Texas!
no safety precaution
Safety precautions??!!!!! Safety precautions don't pay the bills.
In my part of the world 🇺🇲, someone who gets the job done is well respected & they did. 👏👏👏
The primary tool in every workshop is a sledgehammer. Nice video.
HEAT would go a long way to loosen the hub. Of course grease would also be a essential part of putting it back together.
This is the team of guys that work big Ben's hourly chime
After heating it they should have poured cold water on the end of the shaft to shrink it.
👏👏
Bunch of trolls aside you guys are going lot of heavy work. Keep going 💪🏻
Epic! Gripping adventure. Wish it had lasted longer... would have liked to see it finished and back in operation.
