    Hello everybody - this video is purely informative. I was perhaps a bit harsh with the pocket 3 but it's nothing personal. I like the Pocket 3 and will continue to use it - so enjoy the video! 😉

    Can't say I agree with a lot of what you have said. No device is perfect. Some of this is really nitpicking. Not beginner friendly - I don't agree with that. This is also not an action camera, so I don't know why you would even bother to take it skiing or running or even take it out in the rain. Some pretty obvious things here that really didn't need to be discussed in a video as negatives, when common sense is applied.

      Not everyone know, with gimble, many average consumer without much filiming expertise would automatically assume it could be a decent action camera too, maybe not too robust that you wouldn't take it into extreme conditions, but if you don't do too much of sports just a bit, you can get an all in one camera with this. It's good he cleared that illusion out of the way.

    #3 is incorrect. You can set yourself in any of 9 spots within the frame to track you and keep you there. Also, saying you may not want to print something at 9mpix made me lol. As a sports photojournalist for 25yrs, I've had images that were barely 5mpix printed on the side of a bus and on billboards. Granted. For today's standards, you're definitely correct. But wow have people over exaggerated the need for so many megapixels to make a decent print. Appreciate you content... Just wanted to express a couple of my thoughts on this tool. Thanks!

    • @MountMediaChannel
      @MountMediaChannel  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Andrew, yes I just meant Dynamic framing is sometimes a bit awkward to use. You're probably right about the megapixels. Thanks in any case for your feedback and for watching my videos!

      Viewing distance is key. Nobody climbs up on a billboard to pixel peep. 🤣🤣🤣

    • @AndrewCCM
      @AndrewCCM หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@careylymanjones Yep. Busses are up closer though...Been there done that. Used to do those back in early/mid 2000s. The nice thing now, the uprezing technology has improved a bunch. Wish they had as good of tech back then. But yes, you're definitely right about viewing distance. Most people aren't printing that large so IMHO it makes 9mpix plenty for the majority of the prints people make these days.. And sadly, the amount of PRINTS people make are way way down. So many young people haven't seen a nice print but rely solely on electronic devices to view images these days... Definitely some exceptions...but it's funny to see the reaction to a good sized well produced print from a person not used to it...

    Great informative video!! I have a question, you said that the camera could be difficult to use for a beginner who would like to take quick and easy videos for trips. I would consider myself as a beginner. I would like to know if the OP3 or the Dji Action 4 are more suited for me. I am planning to take it for a trip to Bali later this year. Would the Action 4 be best for a beginner like myself? Thank you!!

    • @MountMediaChannel

      In my opinion the Action 4 would be the better choice for you

    6:39 - The iPhone 15 Pro Max skin tones look awful. It makes you look like you got a bad spray tan. You could probably fix either one in post, but the DJI looks MUCH better. A little pale, perhaps, but not orange.

    I ordered but canceled the OP3 and will order the Insta360 X4 once funds comes back. I still have the OP1 but I mostly upload on IG and it’s still a banger. I have an old Insta360 cam that I don’t use because of chipped lenses. So I’ve been missing the cool unique shots I could create. I think the X4 will give me more uses and creativity plus I like some of their Shot Lab edits. Plus it’s waterproof. I haven’t had any water shots since my Insta got chipped and I don’t really want to dip my phone under water. I’ll get the OP3 once it’s cheaper, I can create more “cinematic” content with that than the X4. But I want to create more unique and action footage again. Thanks for the vid

    I'm so glad I bought the Osmo Pocket 3. It's so easy to use and the image stabilization is amazing. I've been able to capture some incredible footage with it, even in low light conditions. If you're looking for a great camera for vlogging or travel photography, I highly recommend the Osmo Pocket 3.

    I’m a professional photographer and new to GoPro. I also have a Sony zv1 and I’m about to buy an Osmo pocket 3. The fandom and saltiness of the GoPro vs DJI is hilarious. They are all great cameras, it reminds me of the Xbox vs PlayStation debate or Canon vs. Nikon. Silliness.

    There is no perfect device. You always need to compromise.
    Phone (highend): always with you. Mostly waterproof (but not for diving). Good quality for video and photo. Not that good quality/stabilization in low light. If you not have powerbank then probably you will loss battery fast. You can't use it in some conditions or for some shots.
    Action cam: Good video quality. Can be used for diving. Not that good quality/stabilization in low light. Small and not easy to break. Removable batteries. Secondary device so you can use your phone for other jobs. Everything in focus.
    Pocket: Very good video quality and very good stabilization even in low light. Not everything in focus. Very portable but also easy to break. Tracking. Can be used for some shots like fake dron.
    Camera: Very very good image and video quality but often not good stabilization. Replacable lenses. It is not compact and often you need to take with you many lenses. Probably you need gimbal to take good shots.

  • @AllThingsFilm1

    These don't sound like problems. All cameras have so-called "limitations". So you work with what it can do. That goes for any product. From what the OP3 can do, I don't see any issues. Portrait mode is not something I will use often, except maybe to make TH-cam shorts on occasion.
    There's a reason why "NOBODY" is telling me about these "issues" because they're not issues.

    On long clips the audio loses sync. Anything over 15 minutes will show no lipsync of speech recorded by the Mic 2 and the Pocket 3. The longer the video, the worse it gets.

    I don't particularly agree with your assessment that it is not beginner-friendly. So you are inclined to think that using a Sony zve10 with a gimbal is easier than using the pocket 3? And that is lot pocketable than a mirrorless and a gimbal. Don't you agree?
