I have been watching golf tip videos for months now, after a 20 year hiatus from the game. The Ferris wheel advice completely transformed my ability to make great contact. Thanks a million
This is excellent (5 stars). Going way back we were told “quiet trail shoulder”In reality we need to move the trail shoukder correctly. Everything discussed is so Important! Instead of this we normally hear a lot about coming from the inside. If you follow this I can’t see how you can come over the top.
Great ideas as I think this is one of my major problems.....but too many things to consider; give me one thought to get that shoulder down. Knees over toes, bend outwards, hips moving back, club butt down target line, side bend--these should all be the result of a move not all the things you have to think of and do. Maybe the stick drill gets it all working right.
Quentin, THANK you very much for this video!! I have always been a "hands and arms" golfer and yes it's a struggle compressing the golf ball. I will absolutely work on everything you talked about. 👍😎
This is a great thought. The Hall of Fame teacher Chuck Cook always said Right shoulder to the wall (behind you), Right shoulder to the ball, then to the target. How would you alter this for the driver?
Q: Thanks for the video. Does this also apply to the driver? Is there "side bend" with the driver like with irons? Maybe less side bend with the driver? Thanks.
Quentin, you were saying to work on it for 30 minutes every day, so is that about 100 reps. This is critical because that is a lot of reps. At first, It may cause some soreness in the right elbow and wrist due to holding firm through impact. I would think the reps need to be built up over time. This looks quite similar to a punch shot where the hands don't pass the club or even a greenside chip shot. A strike and hold action. Correct? I also notice that you are basically holding the face square, right through to the abbreviated finish, with little right hand rotation on this drill.
Will this hurt your back? It seems the side bend is hard on the spine? It appears that the ball then the turf is hit compressing the ball and getting solid impact!
I watch your videos and think you have great content. I tried this tip but keep sticking the club into the ground? This usually doesn’t happen. Maybe overdoing it? Thanks
You make the swing seem so complicated and so technical.. your just hitting something. You just mentioned around a million requirements to swing right, omg.

Maybe the best golf swing training TH-cam ever. This would solve most amateur swing issues.
Wow, that's high praise! Thanks a bunch!

Great advice 👍
Glad you think so!
At what point does the body need to start straightening up? Is it when the club is at the straight-line release?

What part of downswing you shift weight forward as you go down with shoulder and knees?
So is the golf swing a rt handed dominant swing for rt handers?
brilliant!
Thanks!!
Do you have the same sensation with your trail shoulder with driver?
Will this hurt your back? It seems the side bend is hard on the spine? It appears that the ball then the turf is hit compressing the ball and getting solid impact!
Does this concept work the same on drivers?
Right!
👍
I watch your videos and think you have great content. I tried this tip but keep sticking the club into the ground? This usually doesn’t happen. Maybe overdoing it? Thanks
This should work with driver too, right? Just with the ball forward?
Subtitle for this episode should be: The Club Shaft should be parallel to the shoulders/chest through impact!
When hips opens up in downswing?
Will this help with a driver?
What about clubhead speed?
This doesn’t work for me because I’m a lefty but I’m right handed 😮
I was just trying this and i was hitting even further behind the ball than i was before.
Way too much to be thinking about at once...you're obviously a great teacher though
No wonder most don't break 100 😢
Do you ever do anything new.?
Come on, it's very complicated for beginners. You have to teach it step by step.
what happened to you?
You make the swing seem so complicated and so technical.. your just hitting something. You just mentioned around a million requirements to swing right, omg.
It's free instruction to accept or ignore.
