I appreciate you getting to the meat and potatoes of the topic. You’re right not to give a damn about the settings of a particular plugin. Mix with your ears! If it sounds good, print it!
I know I'm two years late but this really helped me. Before I never knew if I was leveling my beats properly. Now I know a little bit more on that. Thank you.
this was cool i think u did justice as far as giving small details to those especially who are not super familiar however u look at it. i personally only use fl limiter when im side chaining honestly. a good trick it 2 highlight everything and just add it too its own bus track. i find that and yeah your right screw -6 . throwing it in a bus and just making sure it stays solid in that -3 range i think is solid enough.
no cap, this the best leveling tut online. BTW if you got Splice, Ozone might be free. It is for me. AND the -3db hint is solid, good for mastering beats to sell online. Let the mixing engineer have the -6 db trackouts.
I use the multiband and what i do is put my melodies at half, 808 at default, kicks all the way up, snare/clap at 3/4, hi hat just below the snare/clap, open hat at 3/4.
The way you explain everything is fantastic. Other channels talk too much fluff, you go straight to it. I have learnt so much in such a short time. Thank you. I unsubscribed to loads of other channels cause finding everything I need here. Do you have a course online? I would deffo pay for it! Bless
Thank the man upstairs for Bro beatz!! 🔥💰☝️🔥🔥🔥🙌🤙 don’t forget to subscribe to the most underrated beat tutorial channel on the planet 🌎💪let’s get him to 50 k ASAP!!!
When figuring out your limiting threshold you need to adjust both the threshold and out put at the same time so you hear what you are limiting instead of just fooling your self with a louder mix. Once your kick is getting soft back the threshold a little and then adjust your out put gain
this is how to mix and master if u have dope plugins like omni and ozone... ur instruments already sounded great right out of omni. that's not the case with cheaper/free plugins. and that ozone mastering plugin is dope. it sounded way better than the FL stock plugins.
This is one of the best mix and master tutorials on youtube. But the only part I don't like is that u keep reasoning urself way too much. I mean u told at the beggining of the video that this is your way of doing it, so fuck the negative feedback. U do this shit for free so me and a lot of other people appreciate it. Keep up 🙏
bro i just want some good sounding beats but im never rly happy with my mastering and i think it doesnt sound good with the multiband too :( dont know what to do
TIPS ** 1. - 10db on the master . pre mix all channel without any clip on the master add ozone 8 - EQ - multi band . imager and maximizer setup your chain correctly go up with all your channel you have a banger . but here i dont get it how tiny is the waveform on ozone .its 0 punch on it .
Ay you think you can put a tutorial on oh to get like the gunna bounce I’m talking bout the drums with like a spacious vibe to it, not no guitar melody.more like a spacey dreamy sound
Hey bro, great videos, I always stay up to date, but quick question, I usually use my focusrite scarlet to level, and mix in cuz it helps me hear the sound quality better, atleast for me, but what I wanted to know is that, how far should I turn the monitor knob, should I have it turn At the max? I have studio monitors as well that I connect to the focusrite instead of my headphones sometimes, what can I do on the hardware end to make sure that I'm leveling correctly when I'm inside fl studio? P.S- my laptop volume is to the max
just put it at a comfortable level for you, the volume of your speakers/headphones dont really play a huge factor. The knobs in the DAW will be what you want to focus on
Very helpfull & transparent B' 💯 I have 2 questions : -You gain stagging before on the Step Sequencer or not ? -i can put a fruity balanced on the master for approch -3db, because im on FL11 (for many reason), only , i cant select multitrack ? Ps : shortcut for Reset fast = Alt + Left click
@@BroBeatzTV Thanks broski, i appreciate ! I spend to much for good result but now i think, I will make it simple & focus on "sound selection" first before then "magic" VST Aaah, a mixing bus, ok 💡 I will try this

Agreed
Straight to the point. Love it. Everyone tries to overcomplicate the mixing process. Trust your ears.

All envelope knobs on fruity limiter must be turned all the way to make it distorted/punchy. Soft clipper too is a great plugin.
My chain is Fruity Soft Clipper > Limiter to lightly clip the drums > EQ > Izotope Maximizer > Waveshaper
Eq or eq 2
@@deoxybeats9530 EQ 2, just to cut very low and some of the high
@@KhronoProd Do you really need a soft clipper and limiter?
@@DocKaosBeats for certain beats, depends what kind of sound I'm going for.
@@DocKaosBeats Usually I use a sotfclipper if it has a kick. I don't use a waveshaper on my master anymore

U the boss... That maximus🔥🔥🔥. My mix and master r now good, came from worse if u get me. Nice bro
Finally. No bs 💯. Reasons why most people don't get it, is because others who explain it aren't mindful

Came for the tutorial, stayed for the fire beat!!! Thanks mate
The ozone plugin added extra low end , the maximus kept that shit clean af.
Maximus w/the tape stop + default softclipper sounds great to me.
I also raised my mids w an eq
which goes first, Maximus or the softclipper?
We love more content like this. And then the beat though 🔥🔥🔥
Your supposed to mix with everything on , rarely solo....
I peeped how you tossed in a free drum kit with that $10 midi scales kit you are selling. I fuck with u bro thank you. That drum kit is fire asf btw

Great) Thanks)
Great video
For the limiter you turn down release attack and ahead down all the way down
Why does that sound so fucking good before you even mix it too. I might have to hop on FL Studio. Well, I am a noob though. Thanks for the video!
Thanksss
