@@JetSkiBrothers Yeah, it feels go to get a bunch of that stuff done. I guess I just needed the right motivation, haha. It will be interesting to see what we get up to. It would be nice if we could all focus on a jetski project and make something interesting happen, but I'm not so sure about that. We will get up to all sorts of shenanigans, but I'm not sure how much of that will make it to video. Last night I made copper acetate with vinegar and peroxide and then today I used it to do some copper, electroplating, just for fun.... didn't film anything, haha. Yeah... The subscriber count is about the same now, and the other channel got hundreds of more views. Obviously something to do with how little YT recommends this channel 🤷♂
The remodel looks really good! I have a feeling that with BJ around you will get a lot more ideas for crazy projects that you will have to refrain from starting. Hopefully everyone has enough space. Really glad to see you didn't lose everything or die or sell all your stuff! Looks like quasar has some new friends as well.
Thanks Jacob ! How is your house coming along ? Haha... Yes, BJ Andy and I come up with some pretty silly ideas. We actually had one of the most relaxing days I've had in a LONG time. We sat around a fire, cooked a meal on it and just chatted about stuff. This house is fairly large(ish) and we all have enough living space... storage space might be a problem, haha. BJ did get rid of a lot of his stuff. I'm very thankful that I didn't have to sell a bunch of my stuff or move to storage, or even another location. Quasar is living with Megan, but I have gotten to visit him a few times, and he was here a few weeks ago for a visit. I now live with 3 other people, two dogs and two cats... it's a lot. I pulled your 1100 engine out a few days ago and am hoping to have time to get into the build. I was going to text you and ask if you thought 84mm (1179CC) and a Oops factor of 1mm makes more sense ... OR, just go all the way to 85mm (1206CC) and hope for the best, haha. From the reading I have done, it seems as though the engine doesn't gain much after 84 as the transfers aren't large enough.... but 1206 sounds cool.

I say bore that thing to 84mm and tell everyone its a 1200. I'll tell you that I haven't even ridden my superjet this year! The throttle plates were stuck after sitting all winter and I haven't had time to mess with it. I still have been having fun. I think the time you take off jet skis will just make you love it more when you get back to it. I have a very interesting different project that you will see on JSB soon.

It took me about 5 years to build my garage because I didn't want to get loans, and I wanted to build it well. I think your plan is wise. Haha... Tell everyone it's a 1200... well... Kawasaki tells everyone it's a 1100 and it's really a 1071 ... so, it's actually 1200 would be more accurate than their claims, haha. Stuck throttle plates... Lovely. Maintenance on skis sucks ... Why can't we just do fun stuff like install cool parts on cool projects, haha. I'm glad you have been having fun regardless. I can't wait to see what your new, interesting different project is... Wish I was able to be there and help out.

Hey man! Yeah, there has been a lot happening here. I'm glad I had a little kick in the pants to get it "done" due to people moving in, or it could have been drawn out much longer. This created a sense of urgency. How goes the jetski projects? I assume you have been getting a fair amount of riding done?
@@JoelArseneaultTH-cam haven't had any time to work on the skis, other than a bit of starter maintenance on my original 550. I've got a complete house that we have to Reno as well. I'll have to come get that sprayer soon! Lol!
@@dustinwild I have to say, I'm glad it's not only me that's too busy, haha. You and 550 starters.... it's non stop, eh. You should dedicate your life to making a good 550 starter replacement, haha. The sprayer is sitting here waiting for you. Any time you are around, let me know.
@@JoelArseneaultTH-cam I can swap a starter on that machine in about 8 minutes now. Lol! I think I'm on my third this year now. Seems like every time I swap out out, I find a new failure point. The latest is the leads that connect to the brushes break. Like the wires they used on these crappy db electric starters don't bend, so when they move, it just eventually snaps. 🤷
@@dustinwild It turns out that it's actually quite hard to make a good watercraft starter motor, haha... but first you have to be able to actually make a regular starter motor. You're going to have to put a kickstart on that bad boy.
