A new JA video 👍 nice! Joel it seems that bad luck is just waiting for opportunities to spring itself upon you. 🤦♂️ hopefully we can turn that around 😉 looking forward to your visit 🍻
I had piston hit the head on my cr125 because the crank was bad. That motor was toast. Oh yeah getting solas getting serious. We are in for a good time when you get here! Nothing bad ever happens to us
LOL !! Nothing bad ever happens to us... True... I can relax now. That's how you know when it's time to change your bearings... otherwise, how would you ever know ?
🤟 Me too man !! I'm very excited for the pump. Let's hope the engine puts on a good show and cooperates for a few rides ... Fortunately, even if it doesn't there are other things to do here, haha.
If I believed in luck, I would say u didn’t have much… but since I don’t believe in that, your finding the weaknesses and addressing them! I’m just gunna go ahead and say I like that your able to live in the solution!
Thanks Trevor. That's a good way to look at it. I need to stop being so creative with my problems... I mean... bad starter button, relay ... maybe a water leak.... Nope... not here folks. 🤣
That might be denial rather than living in the solution.. unless the solution is actually the water that you’ll be swimming in if you don’t fix that water leak
Haha... Yes, I can understand that. I, personally, love tinkering, and if it worked predictably, I would get bored with it and fine something else to do. This is why I also like working on the heater... lots of problems to keep me busy ! :)
Hey... I would have almost certainly had to do some adjustments to get the most out of this mod, but the test didn't last long enough to tell one way or another.... The pistons hit the domes and the pump failed. I will be releasing a video tomorrow with a fairly successful test... I ended up leaning out the screw about 1/4 turn and can probably go leaner again.
Did you send this comment twice, or am I loosing my mind? haha. I swear I just responded to this comment. That engine is bookmarked for a different ski and fortunately doesn't have an expiry date. The x2 would likely sink with a 1500 in it as there's not enough flotation... I have considered a sea doo triple.
These things will happen when you have something stripped and reassembled thay many times. Unfortunate, but could always be worse. Looking forward to another JA and JSB collabo 🤘😝🤘
Yes, it is playing the odds game ... sooner or later, you will mess up, it's just a matter of how many times you take something apart ... it also doesn't help if you become complacent. After you do something 100 times, it's easier to go on auto pilot, where if you do it 3-4 times, it takes cognitive effort, you think about every step and are less likely to make a silly error like this. It's pretty obvious that that spacer needs to be in the seals to... well... seal, and also support the impeller, but the assumption that it is there, and confirming by checking that the impeller is spinning free is obviously not as good as a visual inspection.
🤣 I would say it's a bit of a fiery relationship if not volatile. Perhaps to the point of being self destructive, or at least unhealthy... but hey... kids these days... that's how they roll.

That's why i prefer to put my life energy into restoring stock conditions instead of tuning.
Just always hated unreliable transportation means.

Did you have to adjust your jetting with the new head?
