    Another great video Giles. Quickly one of my favorite teachers on TH-cam. Easy to understand and easy to take to the practice tee and on the course.

    Not long found you on YT Giles, now the only coach i watch.
    Quick question, do you swing the club the same with your woods as you do your irons? Steep to shallow?
    This part is where i get in a mess on the course

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes it’s the same but naturally the shaft plane is slightly shallower due to the length of the club. Great to hear you’re enjoying the videos!

  • @olehoiii
    @olehoiii 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Great video! When I'm on the course switching clubs my body want to hit it like a driver, so I hit it like an iron and it evens out. Just for swing thoughts

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Exactly that! Keep it simple and treat it more like an iron

    Hi Giles. Excellent video. Can you do a similar video on hybrid and irons when tee-off on Par 3s and4s? Also, include ball position for hybrid and irons fairway vs. tee-off setup postion,

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes of course! Ball position FYI is under the left ear/logo on your top both off the tee and off the deck for irons and hybrids

    Nice little bruising of the ground. Haha. Great visual. Really enjoying your lead in my quest. Your weight shlft is so effortless. I am getting better just watching you. Please don't demonstrate too many over the top swings etc. We only need good visuals. Haha Thanks for your efforts.

    What are the potential opportunities of using this club? when is the time to use it and why. tks

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Very versatile. Use it in the fairway to approach greens, use it off the tee as a different option, use it on king par 3’s & use it around the green to chip

    99% of the time I use a white castle tee and hit slightly upwards. I don’t use a driver. My long fairway shots are a 5 or 7 wood and sometimes a hybrid depending on the distance required.

      Great! Do you find you get more accuracy and control?

    • @richardc6932

      @@Gilesgillgolf my 3 wood finds the fairway far more than the driver. I tend to reach for the 7 wood or 5hybrid on the second shot into the green. At 75 years old, I don’t miss the driver, it was always the cause of lost balls. Many golfers feel that the driver is a grip and rip club. A tension free swing always yields more distance, at least for this senior. 🇨🇦👨‍🦳👍

      @@Gilesgillgolf yes. I think that positional golf instruction isn’t for many golfers. Telling a beginner or high handicap player to copy or mimic a tour pro is not a recipe for success and slows the learning process down or totally discourages many from continuing to try.
