What I did on my old setup was use a proximity sensor on the shifter that only activates in first gear, once you pull back into 2nd the slipper is deactivated.
I remember guys on dsmtuners saying back in the day John Shepherd was running a heavy single act 3200, I know the single discs are easier to launch in regards to slipping but then you deal with the notorious clutch drag at high rpm’s lol
I`m not up on the Mitsubishi stuff. What does DSM mean please? And what is NFT? I`m subbed now and I`m going to learn all about the 2 liter beast you have there. We had the Mitsu mini trucks back in the day,.
Hey man. Thanks for the sub! DSM stands for Diamond Star Motor. It was a partnership between Chrysler and Mitsubishi in the early 90's. NFT is the name of my car. It stands for N3Z FAB TALON.
@@N3ZFAB You got it. I did do all my own work on my cars back in my younger days and I do miss it sometimes. Now I have to watch all you younger guys do it on the Tube. And I do remember seeing you on PFI Speed before and now I can just watch and comment on stuff. I never criticize because I`m not perfect but I may make a suggestion or 3 LOL.. I never had anything fast and I wish I had now seeing all the Turbo cars. Peace out for now.
Code Red is pretty tasty! Here is the link for the timer. You need more then just the timer to make things work though. DROK 12 Volt Timer Relay, 0.1s to 999min 50mA 4-Mode On-Off Automotive Digital Delay Relay, Electric Delay Timer Switch, Cycle Time Delay Module with LED Display a.co/d/3syIZmG
Back in the 90's and early 00's them DSM boyzzz didn't play around!! They were puttin' it down!
They were some tough competition for sure back in the day! I love these cars!
So YOU are the DSM owner I've seen on PFI videos in Colorado. Awesome! I've a fellow DSM owner/enthusiast
That's me! Right on man! What's the build?

That would work if you're not running a dog box and have to clutch every shift.
@@N3ZFAB I run a dogbox. It worked perfectly.

Yeah. It's crazy what he was able to do back in the day!
Have you thought about using ecu to deactivate the clutch switch? Based on speed or gear.
Yeah. But the parameters wouldn't work how I would need them.

Blue Moon is my beverage of choice when I’m in the garage wrenching lol
Right on! Those Sonic slushes are tasty!
Code red is my drink of choice. Do you have a link to the timer box? I would like to add one to my setup

Are you going to the Shootout?
Hopefully, next year. It's such a far drive. I have a race on the 7th that I'll be going to.
@@N3ZFAB Have you been to one before? If not, you'd love it
