@@PossumBourneMotorsport so illegal in new zealand then? you built an illegal exhaust system for "Fatu" to run into cops as soon as he gets onto the road 😂
@@Jdm02.nz. this is going back a while - but I believe we built the system so it had an interchangeable rear section. He could run it straight pipes at the drags/track days etc, or fit the muffler for street driving.
I have an opportunity to own a v5 sti bare block with heads I wanna run my bugeye Wrx intake manifold or some bugeye sti intake manifolds and build it … it’ll be a direct bolt on with everything won’t it
Hey SPLIKIT, there’s a stack of variables, and weve made some advances in our R&D since this car was built. Drop us a message on Facebook or email pat@possumbournemotorsport.com and reference “Sleeper STI GRB” for more pricing info. Cheers
It’s a JDM twin scroll header that’s had a 90 degree stainless pipe welded to each of the two runners. These are then merged, with a divider to keep the gas flow of the two runners seperate whilst using a single 40mm turbosmart wastegate
@@PossumBourneMotorsport thanks for the reply! That is very interesting. I have been thinking about how i would go about doing an ewg setup on my ej207 engine. This is something i will have to put some thought into!
My gc8 with a built 207 in it pulled 310kw on the Dyno. It’s quick!
310kw would make for a rapid GC8!
With what turbo?

How much did all this work cost if you don’t mind me
Asking ? I have a 98 STI that needs an engine replaced
Does "straight pipe" mean no mufflers, cats or resonators?
Yes exactly! It's essentially a 'Straight pipe' from the back of the turbo to the end of the exhaust. It was damn loud!

How much for a build like This? Roughly?

@@PossumBourneMotorsport awsome thanks!
Is it legal to be that loud
This car has an off road set up without mufflers. To meet Wof standards a muffler is required.
What turbo do these come with stock and gow much hp
any info on that ewg setup? never seen anything like that in the US

Very common in us bro
Is it really a sleeper haha
Sounds like crap all that pop and crack should put a descent exhaust on it straight pipe cheap and nasty
The owner has since decided to add a couple of good quality mufflers to the system. It sounds much more respectable and a lot quieter now :)
Much better, being a sleeper u wanna fly under the radar
