@@trigun989 25K canadian is a fair price- 30k is overpriced, keep in mind it is still a 2009 Subaru STI(old car) at the end of the day, you can buy a newer model modified WRX with lower miles for much cheaper. Alot of people who modify their cars think they are getting 100% of their money back from putting aftermarket parts on a car & that is never the case, cars still stay at their KBB suggested used retail price, it does not matter if it has 100K worth of aftermarket parts!
15+ steering rack, CArbon drive shaft and updated headunit and this thing would rock as a summer daily
i have a 15+ rack in my 05 Forester XT. Love it!
CF driveshaft for a daily is a little bit of overkill hahaha

This was one of my favourite builds. The colour, the mods, the wheels, everything is perfect. I wish I had the money for it right now.
My favourite build so far(shh Connie). It even beat a F430. Sad to see it go without an EVO battle. Great build guys.

I have a 2011 WRX same color and I’m doing the same style build except with the 2.5l Same color and interior so this was a great series to see! I am in Montana and it will be just for summers. Thanks for the great tips on what to look for and address!

I love this. Built, driven, now need room and funds for other projects, so .. selling it, showing the good and the bad. Real people can't keep them all! It's sad to see it go, but at the same time, it's a little bit more relatable, lol.

I’ve never understood summer driver only Subaru STI’s in Canada. Love the car and build! I had a 2011 STI hatch in the same colour.

Ran Comp stage 3 in mine at 431whp/399tq and it held like a champ and also drove as smooth as OEM👌
Power steering leak from the box. If you disconnect the U joint and pull up the boot, you'll see it weeping
out of the shaft. Classic.
I've watch this build over and over.. i dream of having a subaru, specially if it comes close to this.. well, i'll just keep dreaming..

I believe that concludes me liking this series, and I also made a playlist of them all. I like that not every build on youtube has to be over 1000hp, and that some people actually understand what's more righteous for each individual car as well as owner. Horsepower is fun, but power is nothing without control. Build for purpose...

There's so much room in the engine bay and underneath! Made me curious how you guys would handle an N54 e92 build. Tons of power headroom on unopened block, a few different ways to make it. Should also give you the expected amount of 'broken BMW' content. I'd love to see some content on that platform.

Might be super late on this. But you mentioned the clutch sucking. Which I noticed in my hatch too. There’s a rivet kit for the firewall that can fix that issue but I’m sure someone had mentioned it to you
So bummed to not see this put the Evo VI in its place, but yeah I definitely get the needing funds bit.

Did you ever speak with CSF about the oil cooler? Running same setup on my 2020 STI with custom AN lines no issues for me running the IAG comp oil pan
thats a deal for that car with the mods its a fitting price because you did such simple mods like bolt on turbo kits instead of rotated
I forgot how many nice parts were on this thing because of the low power... this is an example of needing ethanol. E85 and a retune would be awesome.
This build inspired me to pick up an STI of my own, sad to see her go but the GC build is going to be amazing. I'm going to go back and watch the build series again today :)

lol @14:58. I literally scared the crap out of a bunch of birds once in a car with a screamer pipe on it. I floored it going under an expressway sign and next thing I knew the windshield and roof got absolutely pelted with bird poo. I didn't see them, but there had to have been at least a dozen birds perched on top of the sign.
That wrap on exhaust header will surface rust piping once it gets wet

I put up a very very mint 13 STI hatch, and even though it shows on the inexpensive end in Autotrader, I have had little interest.
I keep hearing of these things demanding top dollar, but so far I’m not seeing that. Maybe cause I’m in Winnipeg. GLWS!

I’m curious since you had the frs in the background at the end. You said you didn’t like the clutch feel of the sti, and I don’t like the clutch feel of my BRZ. I haven’t driven a STI but I’m told that the clutch action is very similar between the two. Any truth to this? Great deal on a great car!

I really like this Subaru, it sounds much better than any other one I’ve heard because of the equal length header. I wouldn’t go any more power than this level, to keep it reliable. I would have liked to see the pay off video against the Evo, did you ever do hot laps with it? I thought the motor was bigger than a 2.5L with the striker crank

What power washer are you using DP?
I'd be weird... I'd swap out the turbo for a slightly smaller one for better spool. And then sort out the clutch and work on getting it to rotate.
