I can honestly say that this is the FIRST jelly roll race quilt that i've liked . organising the colours and then interspersing the grunge sections is a brilliant adaptation. Thank you
What a surprise to see you tonight (this morning)! I really like the way you rearranged the strips! It makes a nice effect! Thanks, Donna, for your wonderful tutorials! They are enjoyable and educational!
Fantastic idea to break up the standard jelly-roll race quilt with the accent strips and fading the colors from the center evenly to both sides! Beautiful coordination with the borders. 🤩
This is the first Jelly Roll Quilt that I've really liked, the colours are beautiful. Thank you Donna, I love your tutorials. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
I always love your tutorials. No fancy rulers or complicated patterns. Thank you for making and teaching beautiful videos for everyone and for beginners like me ❤
love this pattern it was the very first quilt I ever made by watching you, I was hooked from then on, that was 5 yrs ago, and Ive followed you ever since, love watching you do quilts that I thought I could never make, but your have always inspired me. thankyou Donna and family for continuing to do these videos/tutorials for us all
Hi Donna, I really don’t like jelly roll race quilts UNTIL , today ! it’s so cute ! ! I love how you separated the colors! Everyone time I see a new quilt form you it makes my day! Thanks so much
I love this version! I like the organization and added accents with accent border. I've never wanted to make a jelly roll race before, but this one is a must! What a quick, easy and beautiful gift it will make! Once again Donna, you have out done yourself. Thanks for giving so much of yourself to us! ❤
lol my mom also let me choose my own carpet and I chose a fuschia color when I was 13. I'm still amazed she didn't overrule me. I love watching your videos and I think I'm going to make this one for an auction. Thanks Donna for sharing you time and talents to inspire us!
I have never liked jelly roll race quilts but Donna demonstrated how with a little thought and planning, it can be beautiful. The colors are lovely and I love the balance of color and accents. Perfect borders! Thanks, Donna! Love this one!!!!
Thank you Donna I’ve been in the Hospital for about 3 weeks now and Sew miss sewing I can’t wait to get back to it but it will be awhile 😢! Thank you for helping make my stay more enjoyable!!!!
I look forward to your videos, I have learned so much from your tips and hints, they have improved my work immensely. Thanks to Donna, Matt and the team for the effort you put in to making these videos.
I have a jelly roll that I did not know how to use it. I love this idea. I am new to quilting and sometimes I have trouble deciding on the order of fabrics. Thank you, Donna!
Hi Donna and Jordan family. I think this is the best jelly roll race quilt available. I love it.❤️ I found this in my email and clicked it right away. Thank you for making my very snowy day a cozy one.😃
To make a simple pattern interesting by choice of fabric designs, colors and arranging strips with out of the blue choice of borders is your specialty ! I love it ❤
I’ve made three of these quilts and thank you so much for sharing it with us, Donna. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of making sure your strips are all the same length prior to doing any sewing. On my first quilt, I traded several strips from the jelly roll with strips I cut myself without realizing the WOF measurement was different. As a result, my accents didn’t align properly with each other.
Thanks for sharing a jelly race quilt pattern that I will actually make❣️ Arranging the J.R. strip and adding the same accent colors throughout is a great method to add a pleasing pattern. Thank you so much for the inspiration. I always get excited when I see a new tutorial from you, Donna.
Donna, this is the first jelly roll race quilt I have ever liked. I think it is beautiful. You are so talented and so generous with your teaching and patterns. I have been following you for years. Thankyou.
Donna, I really liked you sharing in the magenta quilt about your sister and your carpet color. This really added a personal touch about you and the sentiment behind your color selection. Nice touch!!!
Oh, the memories, Donna! I had deep purple shag carpet in my bedroom as a child too. I wonder if purple became a hit with young girls because of Donny Osmond and his purple socks? Great tutorial! I haven’t made a jelly roll race quilt for a long time. They’re so quick, I think I’ll start my Christmas gift sewing a little early this year! Thanks for the inspiration!❤
Very good instructions on placing the colors and I lined the idea of cutting 5-6 strips at a time to keep from having the quilt stretch so much. The 3 blocks of solid grunge added a unique touch!
When I lose my "sew-jo" after struggling with a more complex pattern, I always turn to a jellyroll race to get back in the groove. I love this idea and can't wait to make one!
The grey was a good choice. Shows enough on dark blue to catch your eye and then you see the whole rose. Like 2 photographs overlaid in a double image!! ❤❤❤❤❤
As fast and easy as the Jelly Roll Race quilt is, I never really liked it. But, like so many others commented, as soon as you organized the colors, I thought WOW!, that's actually something I'd like to make! Thank you, Donna, for your creativity. It helps us all to stretch our imaginations, too!
Perfect timing for me. My daughter asked me to make her friend a jelly roll quilt and I was already thinking about starting with dark in the middle- browns to turquoise- earth and sky! Thank you.
Great idea to enhance this pattern. I love the fast quilts. I am often in a time crunch with all the responsibilities I have. Thanks for offering a give away quilt. I love purple. I would have loved your plum carpet. My mother always had white everywhere.
I agree with the other person who said this was the best jelly roll race pattern she’s seen. I’ve always avoided the ones I’ve seen before, but really want to make this one. Thank you, Donna!
Donna, this is so beautiful. I like the way that you put the three accent colors in the strips and as the borders and binding. Beautiful. You just make it so easily understood. Thank you for sharing this with us 😊❤🎉🎊
This is by far my favorite jelly roll race quilt yet. The colors are beautiful in both quilts, but what makes it are the accent pieces. This is such a great project and I can't wait to try it. Thanks Donna once again for a great tutorial.
I really like the simplicity of this quilt. It's beautiful and the one made with Christmas fabrics is just as beautiful. I love your videos and the way you explain each step of the process.❤
Beautiful quilt. I love the jelly roll fabric. Thank you for demonstrating that a jelly roll race quilt can be more interesting. You and your team are a treasure for quilters.
A great surprise to see an alert from you with a new video this morning! 😊 This pattern looks like so much fun. I like how you laid out the pattern in a very complimentary way. Gives me springtime on the water vibes. 💜💜
Hi Donna. It's so great to see you designing your own quilt patterns again. I love the way you come up with the ideas and how easy you make them look to sew. I can't wait to begin working on this one.
I am just finishing this quilt off - I used 3 jelly rolls and 10m backing fabric so it is super king size. Total size 105" x 114". I used the same colours and just love how it has turned out. I coudn't get the grunge moda fabric in the UK in 10 metres length so used dark blue for the borders and a small mixed blue for the backing so I have the pale blue for my narrow border and dark blue for the outer border. I am really pleased with it, but not sure how I am going to quilt it yet, my local long arm quilt shop has just closed down, so may have to try on my machine.
I really like your interpretation of a Jelly Roll Race quilt. With the pre-sorting of the strips, it looks so much better than the usual style. Thank you for the opportunity to possibly win that beautiful Plum Log Cabin quilt. Take care, blessings to y'all.
I made this for my grandson. It is absolutely beautiful. The first quilt I ever made and I could do it, I did not have any problem with it. I had it quilted by a profesional with long arm. Thank you Donna !!! You are a TREASURE to quilting community all over the world 🥰
I bet that plum shag carpet was AWESOME!!! The 70's were the best😊 Speaking of "best"... I haven't been a fan of the jelly roll race quilts, but this one??? It's beautiful ❤️
What a fun sew. Thanks Donna. My daughter chose her own bedroom colors as a teen in 1990. Tourmaline green on the walls with carnation pink trim. Pale pink carpet and that funky gold and white French provincial furniture. The envy of her pals.
Donna, I love the way you did this jelly roll quilt. It is the prettiest of all the jelly rolls. I really like the blue(of course that is my favorite color). I will have to give this one a try. Thank you
So very nice, Donna! The first quilt I ever finished was a jelly roll race with only 1 accent square between strips. Because I used the traditional method for assembling the Jelly Roll Race quilt, I ended up with the dominant coloured strips being sewn together in one spot, and I wasn’t 100% happy about it. I much prefer this method you’ve just shown us, in which we decide how we prefer the colours to be arranged. I love those 3-squares accent pieces, they really tie the quilt together 💙💚🩵🩶Thanks for the free pattern!
I LOVE the colorway in this fabric line! Did Donna mention the designer and manufacturer, or did I miss it? It's very much in my style wheelhouse right now. And I really like the variation added with the accent strips. Like many others in the comments, I was never really a fan of the 'race' quilts, but this one is a winner! Thanks, Donna!
I fell in love with this pattern the first time I watched it. I buy the jelly rolls because I love the colors & they just sit because I didn't really know what to do with them. So I saved this tutorial but then couldn't remember what I saved it under (it's an age thing). I have spent the last 3 days trying to find you again & today was my lucky day (or night)!! So this time (& thank you so much for the free pattern) I have saved it 4 times a different way each time & also made notes in my 'don't forget' notebook. I won't lose you again I bet!!
That is a great looking quilt. If you hadn’t showed us the added three block sections matched up five rows apart, I never would have noticed. Thank you for the free pattern.
Took the big step and bought myself a couple of jelly rolls and some material to make my first ever quilt. Have been binge watching your videos and you make it seem so achievable. Thank you.
I made one jelly roll race quilt and added a small spacer between strips making the quilt quite large. It went to my granddaughter. The fabrics weren't as contrasted as yours. I really like that you sorted them! Thanks Donna! Many Blessings from Deborah in West Virginia!
Oh, that Christmas one is so gorgeous! I'm not a big jelly roll race person, but the way you tweaked it with color placement and the accents really set it apart as something special.
I‘ll repeat what many viewers have already mentioned: This is the very first Jelly Roll race that I actually like. Rearranging the fabrics is key… Thank you, Donna! Well done a nicely explained.
Wouldn't have thought of.sorting colors and just working with strips would have made such a difference! Thank you for this tutorial, so much more to do with jelly rolls!! And your hair is very pretty, getting longer!
I did this quilt with your free download. I experienced bowing on the second half of the piecing part. I am thinking it is better to do 3 rows at a time. I took half of it apart sewed 3 rows and ironed very well; then added back on. It seemed to correct the bowing. I am almost finished with the entire quilt. It is very nice! Thank you so much for the free pattern and video!
I can honestly say that this is the FIRST jelly roll race quilt that i've liked . organising the colours and then interspersing the grunge sections is a brilliant adaptation. Thank you
I agree...most jelly roll race quilts look a little too haphazard for my taste. This one really appeals to me though.
I agree!! Really like this one.
Same here
Me Four. Might have to do this one!
Thanks Donna.
Add me in!
Donna this is absolutely stunning. I’ve never made a jelly race roll quilt as I did not like them. You have blown my mind. I love love this. Thank you
I have followed Jordan Fabrics for years. Always come away from any video with a renewed motivation and inspiration. Thank you! ❤❤❤
This is the first Jelly Roll Quilt that I've really liked, the colours are beautiful. Thank you Donna, I love your tutorials. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
I always love your tutorials. No fancy rulers or complicated patterns. Thank you for making and teaching beautiful videos for everyone and for beginners like me ❤
This is one of the prettiest Jelly Roll Strip quilts I've seen! Thanks Donna once again! I never miss one of your videos♥
Donna back at it again with her mind blowing ideas! 🥰😂 honestly, most jelly rolls look a bit basic but this looks seriously cool! ❤
love this pattern it was the very first quilt I ever made by watching you, I was hooked from then on, that was 5 yrs ago, and Ive followed you ever since, love watching you do quilts that I thought I could never make, but your have always inspired me. thankyou Donna and family for continuing to do these videos/tutorials for us all

Such a lovely way to start the day. A new video from Donna. YAY🎉 Loving this different take on Jelly Roll race 👌💙
I love this! I too have not liked jelly roll race quilts BUT... YOU Donna, have made this so beautiful, adding the 3extra strip set colors. Love it
lol my mom also let me choose my own carpet and I chose a fuschia color when I was 13. I'm still amazed she didn't overrule me. I love watching your videos and I think I'm going to make this one for an auction. Thanks Donna for sharing you time and talents to inspire us!
😀
I have never liked jelly roll race quilts but Donna demonstrated how with a little thought and planning, it can be beautiful. The colors are lovely and I love the balance of color and accents. Perfect borders! Thanks, Donna! Love this one!!!!
Love the story about the carpet in your room with your sister! The 70's!
I also loved hearing about Donna and her sister and their rug.
Thank you Donna I’ve been in the Hospital for about 3 weeks now and Sew miss sewing I can’t wait to get back to it but it will be awhile 😢! Thank you for helping make my stay more enjoyable!!!!
I hope you feel better soon! It’s always a pleasant surprise when I see Donna has a new video! Time well spent
Get well soon!
Simply brilliant. Brilliantly simple! You’ve done it again Donna. Thank you.
The extra accents and vertical layout REALLY catches your eye! Colors are gorgeous!
To make a simple pattern interesting by choice of fabric designs, colors and arranging strips with out of the blue choice of borders is your specialty ! I love it ❤

I LOVE the way you changed this pattern!!
A jelly roll race quilt that isn’t boring! I really love the interest the accent pieces bring Donna. As always, thank you for inspiring us 😊❤
Hello Donna
You are really amazing with the simple & clear way of explaining everything. Thanks a lot
Oh, the memories, Donna! I had deep purple shag carpet in my bedroom as a child too. I wonder if purple became a hit with young girls because of Donny Osmond and his purple socks? Great tutorial! omg, Donny and his purple socks; thanks for the memory, lol
My favorite color combination! Another great design, Donna!
Such a great way to approach a Jelly Roll Race! Thank you, Donna, as always, for the inspiration and quality instruction!
Very good instructions on placing the colors and I lined the idea of cutting 5-6 strips at a time to keep from having the quilt stretch so
much. The 3 blocks of solid grunge added a unique touch!
As a beginner and this one looks rather easier than some of the other ones that I've seen. May just give this one a try. Thanks for the lesson.
This is the first jelly roll race quilt I have ever liked. This is awesome! Thank you. ❤❤❤❤❤
Love this combination. Spicy and gentle at the same time. Thank you for sharing!
Beautiful jelly roll fabrics and great variation using accent blocks. Very pretty Donna 👍♥️🇦🇺
I feel exactly the same. This one is really nice.
Another beautiful quilt made by Donna. Wow. Its gorgeous. You make it look effortless.
Thanks Donna
Perfect timing for me. My daughter asked me to make her friend a jelly roll quilt and I was already thinking about starting with dark in the middle- browns to turquoise- earth and sky! Thank you.
Would never have guessed a jelly roll could be so beautiful!
Great idea to enhance this pattern. I love the fast quilts. I am often in a time crunch with all the responsibilities I have. Thanks for offering a give away quilt. I love purple. I would have loved your plum carpet. My mother always had white everywhere.
Not only did we have plum carpet in our bedroom, we painted one wall and the ceiling plum!
I agree with the other person who said this was the best jelly roll race pattern she’s seen. I’ve always avoided the ones I’ve seen before, but really want to make this one. Thank you, Donna!
Loved your first adjustable jelly roll race quilt! This ones looks even easier. Your giveaway quilt is gorgeous!!! Thanks Donna.
The perfect choice for those of us that like “planned random”. Thank you for the thought you put into this design
This is fabulous! I plan to make it as soon as I finish the last one you showcased!! Thanks for all you do, Donna!
Donna, this is so beautiful. I like the way that you put the three accent colors in the strips and as the borders and binding. Beautiful. You just make it so easily understood.
Thank you for sharing this with us 😊❤🎉🎊

I Love this quilt. I have a jelly roll that I didn't really want to cut up so this will be perfect. Thank you!
I really like the simplicity of this quilt. It's beautiful and the one made with Christmas fabrics is just as beautiful. I love your videos and the way you explain each step of the process.❤
I really liked this one Donna! My sister and I got to choose shag carpet too in the 70's. We chose powder blue. 😊 didn't hide stains well!😮
Beautiful quilt. I love the jelly roll fabric. Thank you for demonstrating that a jelly roll race quilt can be more interesting. You and your team are a treasure for quilters.
Awesome color scheme! I love the extra "oomph" provided by the accent trios! (And, oh, a blast from the past: shag rugs!!! 😃)

What a great twist on an oldie but goodie! Thank you, Donna!

I think it's 'shoreline ' by Camille Roskelley .
@@person2463 That‘s right, thank you ☺️
Wow Donna! I absolutely love this. This is awesome idea! Thank you so much for the video and the pattern. You outdid yourself ❤

WOW....just when I thought I've seen all Jelly Roll Race options, you come up with this awesome version. .Love it!!!
Great idea, Donna. It adds some pizazz to the jelly roll quilt. And I like the top to bottom layout.
That is a great looking quilt. If you hadn’t showed us the added three block sections matched up five rows apart, I never would have noticed. Thank you for the free pattern.
Love watching your videos. This is a great idea for when you need a quilt in a hurry. Love it!

Wow what a lovely jelly roll quilt.. love the Christmas one.. xxx
Just lovely and looks so quick! Thanks again Donna!

I also like this variation on the jelly roll. The accent strips make it so dynamic.
Thank you for providing another great quilt idea, and the clear instructions so others can follow
Oh, that Christmas one is so gorgeous! I'm not a big jelly roll race person, but the way you tweaked it with color placement and the accents really set it apart as something special.
That is SO cute. The colors are happy. Love it! I’ll be rewatching this video over and over-no doubt, and it will become a fave to sew from my scraps.
Oh Donna, this is the first time I have understood how to do the Jelly Roll Race. Thank you so much. It is beautiful.
That is a nice looking quilt, I like your take on the “jelly roll race” quilt.
I‘ll repeat what many viewers have already mentioned: This is the very first Jelly Roll race that I actually like. Rearranging the fabrics is key… Thank you, Donna! Well done a nicely explained.
I love the fresh spring colours. This is the first quilt I made from your tutorials a few years ago. Keep up the great lessons.
Absolutely gorgeous! Love how you did little tweaks and made it so cohesive and sophisticated!
I've never been a huge fan of this quilt before now. Simply gorgeous and now on my to-do list. Thank you.
Beautiful! Your twist on the Jelly Roll Race quilt takes it to a whole new level. Thank you, Donna. 🌷🌷
Wouldn't have thought of.sorting colors and just working with strips would have made such a difference! Thank you for this tutorial, so much more to do with jelly rolls!! And your hair is very pretty, getting longer!
Loved this pattern from years ago. Made me love jelly rolls. I like that you have redone the video with some new pointers. You always inspire me
Just ordered this jelly roll! Love the colors!!! Of course, Donna makes me want to try everything! The BEST teacher EVER!!!
I've made 2 jelly roll race quilts and they were just OK. I probably would never have made another. BUT I just changed my mind. Thank you Donna.
I really love this quilt pattern!!! Thank you again for coming to my rescue. I love the purple quilt also. Very beautiful!!!
What a difference using the accent fabrics. Yes, a jelly roll race quilt that I like! Putting this on my "have to make this one" list. Thank you!
Lovely quilt❤ . I do hand quilting. I am putting the final finish on the quilting. Then bind. It took me 8 months so far. Very fulfilling.
