- Were going to try and see if this will really work. I'm going to attempt to temporarily repair a cracked wheel I have with some jb weld I had laying around. Lets put it to the test!

follow up update: the JB Weld did seal the crack without any leaking! So it did 100% work.
Update?
It’s leaking because the tire isn’t fully sealed because u put jb welds in the inside u can fix it by sanding the inside of the rim till it’s flush with the edge of the rim and tire and then sand with a 1000 grit to kind of give it a polished seal that would help it seal
I have 2 cracked rims and I’m looking at your video to do this to my wheels 🤟 thanks a lot for posting this !!
How have they been holding up bro??
No problem! Surprisingly it actually worked. Wouldn’t recommend riding on it like that forever, but it works for a quick job. And would recommend putting it in the back as well
I got the same problem with my rim he crack for inside i gonna do that bro. Thanks for you advice.
JB weld when needed! FT world! 🌎
I also tried this yesterday after seeing this video a few weeks ago I let the rim sit over night when I put it on it did seep a lil air use some bead seal now it’s all good I would 100% recommend thanks bro much love
I’m glad to hear man! I was very sceptical about it, but it cost little to no money so it was definitely worth a try! Glad you got your leak all situated man!
How long it lasted?
@@alpheusbevans9933 four months recently use it on my rear fender still holding on strong
Hola... dura mucho el sellador?
Rim was cracked then I stumbled across your vid and I just tried it 👍🏾
Que tal fue? Duró mucho tiempo?
Es una soldadura en frio , si el trabajo esta bien hecho dará resultado
Would this work on a bicycle rim?
will tyre jelly help?
Do you need to do a 50 50 ratio? Can you just buy the black bottle? Thank you
I mixed it about 50/50 ratio. It’s one part cream & one part hardener, then they somehow chemically react and turns rock hard
Put a plastic shopping paper bag between the tire and rim and you good to go.
Works like magic in Africa 😂😂
Duck tape and glue work it's well
Hola es duradero?
plastic or paper? 🤔🤔
Mannn i did this exact thing today on my e90 then looked at videos. Glad i seen this one. I didnt tink to pry the tire away from the lip 🤦♂️ glad i seen this vid, gonna have to go back out there and do that! Is it holding up good?
Honestly it’s been holding! It’s got a tiny leak next to the crack where the ib weld isn’t letting the tire seat against the rim. & I blame myself because I just lathered it on where the tire seats so it’s an unlevel surface. But the crack itself isn’t leaking anymore!
@@BMSmouthers hell yeah! Ill be sure to try and coat it evenly, cause i damn sure aint taking the tire off haha. I dont mind a slow leak till my replacement gets here. The leak mine had leaked down every 2 days. 😅
Literally outside doing this rn. Thanks for the knowledge.
@@lorenzooo0029 I'd do it. So far its holding up for me like the video says.
@@lorenzooo0029 hopefully it works for ya!
A ver, se puede hacer con la muela en forma de v para que penetre un cordon y luego wueda bien después del lijado, lo hice hace 5 años y no hay perdida!!
It work you just left too much inside the tire ain't burning to the rim
Did it seal the tire to the rim?
It did! Just had to be rebalanced!
@@BMSmouthershow do you rebalance it?
Got a minor crack on the outside of my rim using it
Youll need to offset the tire balance with a weight now.
Obviously. Wheels got sold as is.
Lol no you dont
@@theuglytruth4303Lol, okay, Im just going by what your mum told me!
@@theuglytruth4303Remind me to never let you within a mile of my car, CLOWN!
Hey hows it going- is it still holding up?
I ended up selling the wheels, but yes after 24 hours it held air!
You ever heard if it held up with new owner, ?
Yep, I’m definitely going to drive down the road at 120 KMs an hour with a wheel held together with glue 😂
I mean, i personally wouldn’t neither. lol but hey, everything is always at your own risk 🤷🏼♂️
I would opp for putting these wheels on the back of the motor, safety first
Yes most definitely. Any bent/damaged wheels I would always recommend putting in the rear. 🤝🏼
Nothing wrong with it just need to clean the rim through the inside 😂 well, then it is a better option
Yeah if I had a tire machine I definitely would have removed the tire and did it correctly, but for a last minute quick diy fix, it did the trick.
Bead lock? Naw Jb weld lock XD
Aha right! Follow up: surprisingly it held! I was amazed.
Goober spent more time making this video with the cool soundtrack then actually working on the Wheel.
Did the guy who bought the wheels know about this?
Yes sir
Entonces funciona?
Did it lasts
So far no leaks from the actual crack.
@@BMSmouthers how about now, is it still holding up, thanks
@@rikliu1179 I sold the wheels. But when I sold them they all still had 44psi. So I believe so
.
Just get it welded. It doesn't cost that much
To late. Wheels already sold jb welded. Held air to!
That’s dangerous asf bro someone will be driving and will have a blow out hope they come back and kick ur mouth lol
How much it cost weld a wheel
@@akeemruss3952 Welded professionally 100.00 +
In my city it would cost $30 for tire removal/installation, $15 for balance, plus a minimum $125 for the weld!
