That tire wear is not “just the way the suspension sits” there’s clearly a severe alignment issue. If this is happening to multiple cars then take them to the freakin dealer for an alignment so you’re not wasting money on tires every six months.
I had the exact same crack on one of my 18's. Shop charged me just over $700 NZD to repair it. They were the highest rated shop in my area so I went with them. They did an excellent job. 2 years later (today), I managed to get another 2 cracks in the EXACT same rim. Taking it back and hopefully they don't charge $1400 NZD 🤣

Simple trick that has always worked great for me with these bullshit cracks... Get the tire puncture repair foam (make sure its sensor safe foam). Just use it the same way you would use it for a nail puncture...Many times it lasts the life of the tire. Even the welds will generally fail after a while.
Holding air is only a tiny part of the problem. The bigger issue is that the integrity of the wheel is now compromised. If that blows out on the highway you could be in some serious trouble. Same thing if you hit a bad bump.
David Organista mines leak air now. Imma have them checked out on my off day. I’m sure it’s not the tire I’m hoping just need 2 get a alignment again since I just changed my axle shaft and control arm

You have to turn tire over on rim not change sides of car.swapping from side to side dont effect wear unless both sides are wearing opposite of eachother.rite??

I found a crack in mine today and was told $120 but it’s alot cheaper then a brand new rim which is $250 dollars, here’s my question my friend grinded down some of the lip so it wouldn’t rub but i think it rubbed when my wheel bearing was bad and isn’t rubbing anymore, huge possibility it could happen again thoughts?

I guess she doesnt want my money, i guess it's better to do the right thing. so i bought a remanufactured rim from eBay. I'm sure the remanufactured rim is safer than my cracked rim.
Probably not. It should just stop the air leak. The crack will still spread especially of your hitting bumps and pot holes. If you don't address it eventually ur rim will just break

+Trino Munoz Hello, it might be your blower motor? Is any air coming out even on full blast? if no air then it's probably your blower motor. Once you pull your motor and fan you can use a tester to see if it has power. If air is coming out but it's not cold then it's your freon in your car needs a power up, or the problem could be your AC compressor. First then to check for on the AC compressor is if the belt is missing meaning cracked and ripped off.

My boyfriend just took him run to jack Williams and they sent it out to be fixed. A week later his tire is flat again. There’s some type of black rubbery stuff over where the crack was.

I've owned a few bmws, never had tyres wear out like that. Putting the incorrect tyre size on sounds like a bad idea too.

If aluminum. Jb weld would be fine to drive on. A regular steel weld should be fine. But wouldnt last.

That's incorrect. A rim can be safely repaired and give years of use. It's metal - it can be welded and be safe, if done properly.
