I bought a 2023 4Runner and the transmission has to get replaced at 8,500 miles while traveling to Alaska, sad day.
So much for “Japanese quality” 😂
i just got a brand new 2023 4runner in June. Hope the same doesn't happen to me.
Yikes ! I don’t like the way 4Runner transmissions are designed for filling the fluid…let alone changing it. Not made for driveway mechanics

The thing with Tesla's is that they accelerate hard, and when you have the speed it takes a lot of energy to slow it down due to the weight. Inertia gets people in trouble
Supercar acceleration with regular car brakes and handling its electric muscle how murican cars always been and also wrapped around poles due to lack of cornering n brake performance

What a fun BMW. A friend of mine had a 3 series, he was a great driver and drove it well. Manual gearbox as well because it was U.K.
@AndrexT I had several 6 cycl BMWs back in the day before the family came along. They def were wonderful engines. I hated letting the oil even get dirty before changing it.

Just bought a new Camry SE and so far im absolutely in love with the car! The working room around this engine is unbelievable! No kidding, there's 3 or 4 inches on the back side of the engine! If I needed to I could change the o2 sensor on the exhaust without removing anything else! Also it was 28k out the door, cannot beat that price!

make sure you're on top of your oil changes (every 5k), these things are known to burn oil if the 10,000 intervals are followed, especially the 2012-2017 models. The 2012, 2013 also had torque converter issues.@@SoulElement
i had an o7 and that thing handled the curves, not a lot of power, but it handled the curves really, really well. Now, the 08, nah, different car. I paid 20K for my 07 LE, drove it 167K and sold it. I did not want to go Japanese, but it was a good car. Cal Ripken.

I sympathise Scotty after injuring my back at work the rest of the time I had the car I’d to crawl out of the car it hurt my back so much, it was a GM I now drive a RAV4 no serious pain now while driving

When you get over 50 or even over 40 back pain is a way of life. You get muscle pulls that you didn't ever get when you were young and then there's sciatica - AKA the Holy Grail of back pain. Getting older really isn't for the weak.
I used to strip and wax VCT tile floors in the hospital. I outworked everyone and all the old guys used to tell me to slow down and take it easy. I'd scoff at them and guzzle another mountain dew and keep on those edges. They let me do all the hard hand details.
I'm 35. My back is 100% wrecked.

Scotty confirmed the car with a six cylinder engine and manual transmission will last forever. Even the BMW.
N52 N54 N55 are built like tanks. It's just the crap around it is temperamental. My N52 still running after 18 years, only has 120k on it.
Reducing amount of sound insulation from car is the cheapest way to improve performance, fuel economy. These BMWs often have 30 pounds of sound insulation as stock.

Spare Parts - I buy them and store them New- In-Box at my shop. They aren't getting any cheaper. :) No cell phone use allowed in my vehicle while engine is operating.
Cars are pretty cheap here in the UK, 4x4's are such a bargain now it's insane! But road tax for 4x4's are also insane 😂

It's like an early 2000's m3, its pretty easy to tell by the bodystyle. The later m3's had a v8 and a bump in the hood.

VERSA is a Nissan model, is it not..?
He just resets the codes, drives the car a few miles, then the light comes back on a week later...any time I've reset a code on my cars, it takes quite a few cycles to come back on.

I took my driver test on Mom's '65 VW bug in '66. Now I drive 5-Speed Toyotas. I had to wait for manual, since nobody knows how to drive stick anymore.

If you're autel scan tool is running that slow you need to update it. I'm currently running the autel ultra and it will scan 30 modules in under 2 minutes.
0 to 30 in 2 minutes still sounds kinda slow
My Tahoe takes no time to scan, but my X5 and 328i take a lot longer, more to scan, so it depends on the car. Also, if there is stuff disconnected it take longer to recognize since it searches for it.

Runs like a clock? Typewriters tick less. The 6 cylinder was very quick in a 2002 M-Roadster. 0-60mph in 2.8 sec. after I chipped the engine. I scared my girlfriend out of her shorts dozens of times 😂 It was her car.😂 I quickly broke 160mph turned chicken and let off the gas. A friend in his Z3 could not keep up to me. His Z3 looked huge next to the Roadster.

It's 'developed' or 'un-developed' country.....not 1st world or 3rd world.
(A couple of angry women told me).
eg, USA, Australia, NZ etc are developed & India, China etc are undeveloped (they're allowed to pollute)

Scotty been watching forever I’m even older than you but you started learning this computer bull crap longer than my so I’m running scanners now but how is the best way to learn things like fuel trim o2 sensor data I can record it but it means nothing to me. As I own a 90 corvette a69 427 corvette and a my baby 69 Camaro 396/375 SS so simple to work on
