I was really impressed with how the oil additive worked.
But I used the gas treatment twice and my gas mileage has gotten worse each time. Also a loss of power on 2007 4Runner.

That's insane to me. I can go in my menu on the dash and check all kinds of data for the engine, transmission and battery without even using a scan tool. That should be required on vehicles IMO. Driving around having no idea how warm your engine is is a bad idea.

I bought a car from a friend who had problems with the car, he had it back at the dealer several times but they couldn't fix it so they gave him a great deal on another car. The car was only a couple of years old and had low miles, almost all highway miles. I only paid a few hundred bucks for it. The dealer first replaced the computer, distributer and eventually the top end but it spit sputtered and died sometimes, especially when you were in a hurry. I went to pick it up with a friend as I was driving it home, I had the hood up and asked my friend to start it, when he did I noticed the distributer turned, I let it idle, grabbed a ten mm wrench and tightened it down, never had another issue with the car, tires, air filters and oil change was the only thing I did too it for the next four or five years, finally sold it when the CV joints started making noise, for a huge profit. Right time, right place I guess.

@scottykilmer - In newer Subarus, the centre-top display has a configurable "favourites" screen where you can put both water and oil temperature gauges. The water one is just basic - Cold/Normal/Hot, the oil one is exact. Problem with that though is it's only useful if you have that particular gauge display up. There are only two mechanical gauges left in mine - speedo and tach, everything else is digital and on a screen. Would be nice if that had an option for exact water temperature always up on the gauge screen somewhere.

High Scotty love your vids, I'm having a problem with 2004 Honda Pilot it is high miles 300K but runs out great and trans works good when it shifts most of the time, but some times I put it in drive and it's like neutral I drop into L1 or L2 and it will take off and i shift it manually it goes good but drive it around some and the next stop I make it's like it falls out of gear repeat the manual shift and its fine, I have replaced the dual trans solenoid four time from Ebay parts it would work for a short time wk or two and go back to the same problem so I was told only OEM new from Honda would work so I shelled out the $600.00 it lasted about a month and now same old deal, now I do have a code that comes on again sporadic that is VTM-4, and eng ck symbol but the don't stay on I replaced the sending unit for that didn't change anything. But I or my wife still drive it daily it is a good little car would love to save it .Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Im a believer in enertech labs gasrx product. That lab was hired to take a massive anount of rotten turned fuel (in a monster tank) into burnable fuel. It breaks down water from parts per thousand to parts per million. Stabil, startron and all the others are meant to make fuel last longer. Gasrx makes old ethanol gas burn again.
Castrol has (had) a product named route 66 (if i remember right) that did the same thing. Gas-rx was suing them for steeling there formula (last i knew). There in Buffalo Ny, i buy it at Fastenal and marinas usually have it. Or from the lab themselves.
No o dont work for them or get any compensation by recommending them. Ive had a small engine shop for 14 years and dealt with bad gas the whole time. Ive had 25 ft boats with full twin gas tanks and the stuff really works.

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi, and I had a similar problem with stalling randomly at lights or first starts. I tried additives and even had new coils installed on account of oil leaking from the rocker cover. Still stalled after that. So, I turned off the stereo. Stalling stopped! I had a new head unit fitted when I bought the car, fitted by an auto electrician. So I can only guess maybe it's drawing on the battery or the speakers don't match with it. Has anyone heard of this before?

Hey Scotty, I added the fuel system cleaner and it caused the bottom of the sock on my fuel pump to be clogged on the bottom resulting in extreme rough idling and no power when fuel level drops below about an eighth of a tank. Filter did its job but the cleaner caused this problem. I pulled the gas tank and replaced the entire fuel pump that came with a new filter sock and it fixed the problem when fuel got low.
