    Thank you. I was wondering how to line the pulleys up and get the belt back on. Angle grinder to the rescue. Really helpful video. Thank you again. Ken

    Fitted brand new alternator to TEA20, looks like same model you are using but it is badly overcharging. What pulley did you use?

      @waynedebnam  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pulley is 75mm outside dia. it needs to be an internally regulated alternator. if it is it sounds like the reg is faulty.

      @@waynedebnam thank's for replying ...all good now. Multimeter thru up a high reading but checked and re-checked at 14.3...now just to unstick the clutch!

    Hello, nice video. Did you delete or not use your old alternator/ volt regulator?

    • @waynedebnam
      @waynedebnam  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don't use the old voltage regulator.

    I have a reversed pole battery connection, I don't know how to install an alternator? Or maybe two 12v batteries so two separate circuits, a starter one for the lighting...

      If you fit an alternator and wire the tractor like I have wired mine you will only need one battery. you do away with the old regulator so you can just hook it up with negative as the earth, Just one note, don't wire the light in the amp gauge up like I did. If you do the light is on all the time. You need to put a switch in the wiring of the light so you can turn it off. An alternator will put more than enough power back in the battery to run lots of lights. hope this helps you out.

      @alpharaptor 7510. Did you manage to get the generator and regulator to work correctly for you?

    My coil is getting hot after running for 30 minutes. same 12v conversion kit as yours. wired the same way

    • @waynedebnam
      @waynedebnam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I put a resistor block in the wiring. You can get them at Repco, it reduces the voltage down, this should stop the coil getting hot and also stop the points burning out to fast. To hook it up you just remove the wire from the coil that comes from the ignition switch. You connect that to the resistor and then make another wire and attach that from the other end of the resistor to the coil. If you have any problems finding the resistor give me a yell and I will get the part number for you.

    Do you also know how to remove the regulator thats used with the old dynamo systems.. there are 4 wires on my massey ferguson and i dont know what to do with them. Thank you

    • @waynedebnam
      @waynedebnam  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You remove the regulator and all the old wiring and then wire it up with new wire as I have in the video. The only difference from the video is the voltmeter needs to be wired so it only works off the key.

      It doesn't have a number on it. I got it from Queensland Tractors in Australia.

      A 35 amp is more than adequate for this tractor. Chrysler Valiant cars 🚗 ran a 35 amp and a 55 amp when air conditioning was fitted. Email alternator 38 amp at 14.4 volts, Bosch alternator 40 amp. With a/c 46 amp.
