Been waiting for this one. While it can run most of the Wii games I have selected, it's WiiWare that's giving me the most issues. I tried setting Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth to the regular Wii folder & thus my Wii playlist which just results in a crash & same thing with Wii Digital. But overall, great tutorial as per usual.
For some reason I can't play the game called Rhythm Heaven Fever, every time I try to open the iso and the wbfs just kick me from the emulator to the xbox menu. It is not compatible? Reggards!
maybe in the future with an original wii controller, the sensor bar is not an issue since there are usb sensor bar and even a simple solution with 2 lamps with incandescent light bulbs at both edges of the tv will do the trick
I can’t seem to launch any dolphin games whatsoever. After attempting to launch them the screen goes black for a second or so then displays an error message saying that it failed to read content file.
On my Series X I'm getting almost perfect gameplay on Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, but there are very random stutters, I've tried changing the sync but it doesn't seem to impact it. The game is super smooth until it randomly decides to stutter, can anyone tell me what setting I need to change or fix to get it 100% smooth please?
Hi, I followed your guide and also picked “wiimote sideways” to play New super Mario bros but it kept asking me to remove the extension controller. How do I disable the extension controller? There is no option in Xbox retroarch to set extension to “none” . I wonder how you got pass the title screen in the first place. TIA

Ok i think dolphin dont run well roms from usb. The problem is that im using retail mode and when trying to acess local foder on xbox it doesnt apeear using ftp mode... any sugestion to acess local folder in retail mode?

I seem a little lost. Without changing any directories where are my wii saves? With GC it made its own once I started and saved my first game. Then I put in downloaded saves. But with wii saves where are they?
@@ArchadesGames it was easier just to put in cheats for 100% lol. Speaking of that. If I want to add more cheats do I remove the old file before I put in the updated one, or can they coexist? Or should I add just the new cheat to the bunch?

This is late but worth a try, when I try to use the usb it makes me format it for it to read games not just media. But when I put it in the pc it forces me to format it to use it. How do I break this format loop?

Let me go far enough right to left or down or up to click certain things. I had the same problem on retroarch and changed the axis and now I can play Wii games on retro arch but the quality of video is trash.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The roms I'm importing seem to be the same file types you have. I do the manual scan exactly like you. I can't seem to figure out how you have all those system names already there as options, and after doing the scan my wii games have the rocket symbol next to them rather than the wii symbol. I basically have the default settings and tried setting the CPU lower. Any tips? Or is it just expected? 2. What's a ini file and do I need to get those separate from the roms for the best default settings? 3. I have quite a bit of drift when emulating the wiimote pointer. Tried playing with the offset values and it's kinda better using absolute referencing, but still not ideal. Any ideas on a solution?

On Mario kart wii, it seems to be frequently freezing (following a black loading screen) just before it loads something, like a course or some menus for example. I can tell it partially loaded as it shows something,like a course preview, on a very dim screen. It seems to be the only game with this issue and I’ve tried tweaking some settings, like swapping the usb (with the security changes) but no success so far. Is there a potential fix?

Disable, first, any graphic effects of emulators, especially the "bilinear filter", it is normally in the "video" options in the "settings" tab of RetroArch. The intention is to leave the image "pure" or original so as not to interfere with the result or the complete effect of the predefined shaders. I'm using this preset in almost every game with dithering, 2D with low resolution, any console/arcade/handheld from the 32bit era and below. If possible, someone test it out there, and write some criticism or advice, please.

You can simulate Wiimote movement on the PC version of dolphin using an Xbox controller but not on RetroArch

Retroarch Dolphin is a piece of crap. If something works go with it 😅
From what it seems, you don’t need any sort of BIOS for the Wii or GameCube right? You just need the ‘dolphin-emu’ folder and your games right?

You choose media on the Xbox if you're trying to use it for emulation as covered in my initial setup guide

Ooookay so the controllers are still broken...They can't seem to get the GameCube controller setup right...when u go to remap the GC controls, it shows controls for just Wiimote😕

I dont know why Phantasy Star Online Ep 1 and 2 ou the same thing happens with Phantasy Star Onloine Ep 3 one dolphin in xbox series, the game not run, crash after the Sega/Sonic Team logo.

They can only be used as a mouse and RA has no mouse support on Xbox last I checked
On Mario kart wii, it seems to be frequently freezing (following a black loading screen) just before it loads something, like a course or some menus for example. I can tell it partially loaded as it shows something,like a course preview, on a very dim screen. It seems to be the only game with this issue and I’ve tried tweaking some settings, like swapping the usb (with the security changes) but no success so far. Is there a potential fix?

I recommend you to use a 3.0 usb or ssd and try to set the video driver to d3d12
So I’m looking into starting this to just play smash, if your familiar with project M which is a modded version of brawl, would it work to run on this dolphin simulator?
It did for me. Although converting Project M into its own iso file took me a while since I wanted to add my own skins
When I tried loading super smash bros brawl, it said no content was detected during the scan. I tried loading it from the file, but it immediately dashboarded, any help? also, it's still in a 7zip file

I'm testing a preset that, in addition to bringing the qualities of the crt TV, seeks to make the graphics in high definition corresponding to the size or dimensions of modern TVs and monitors: I'm using 8 shaders (total, ordered sequence) trying like this: anti-flicker; mdapt (has 5 steps of it); xbrzfree (2x on the scale); crt-hyllian. obs.: in the parameters I edit "0.38" for the option "scanlines Strength". Disable, first, any graphic effects of emulators, especially the "bilinear filter", it is normally in the "video" options in the "settings" tab of RetroArch. The intention is to leave the image "pure" or original so as not to interfere with the result or the complete effect of the predefined shaders. I'm using this preset in almost every game with dithering, 2D with low resolution, any console/arcade/handheld from the 32bit era and below. If possible, someone test it out there, and write some criticism or advice, please.
