Dear Dan, always a pleasure to see your videos. Terrific job as always my friend. In my humble opinion these watches are a little too expensive for what they are -i.e. raw specs on paper.. That said, I absolutely love them because of how they make me feel...they bring happy memories of when I was a kid. In addition, they are great looking, fun, comfortable... I have one with the blue dial and pepsi bezel and just adore the darn thing. I love to get their M79 automatic batman but at US$279 is too expensive. Thank you Dan for your wonderful work. Have a great Sunday 👏👋👍🙏
Visually it's pretty pleasing. A different engine would be better but I like the look of it overall. It was too expensive when it first came out but for around a ton it's not bad at all. Cheers Dan, good stuff mate.
Not bad, but if I want a non clicky bi-directional bezel and an acrylic crystal I'd get a Vostok with an automatic movement for €80! In fact I do plan to get a Vostok very soon! Fantastic video as always!! The dial is nice admittedly and overall a nice design. Also, the bracelet is nice. If it was €60 it would be a good buy.
Acrylic lens? Battery? $120+? Thanks, but I'd go to Bostock for a bi - directional automatic w/ acrylic lens that looks better and has better water RE SIS STANCE. Did Timex just push out a PR to the RE VIEWERS bee cause EYE just saw another RE VIEW for watches cheap and TIMEX was a feature with the indiglow on ONE. This watch would bee more accurate than the Bostock . . . or the Casio Duro has this watch with a lower price.
I agree with everything you said. I have no issue with the acrylic crystal, in fact it’s one of my favorite parts, but I wish it was at least 100m water resistant. I have a Vostok amphibia that I absolutely love, and it has an acrylic dome as well as 200+ meters of WR. I’m sure the overall thin construction of the Timex is what limits the WR, but I wish it was a little more durable. Cool watch though.
I don't think I was ever this early, really nice video as always. Personally I'm fond of these types of bracelets, like on my casio a158 they're very comfortable and easy to adjust. I feel like the specs on the timex aren't excatly great, even for that price, so I would call it a bit "fashiony" but I think it is acceptable overall.
More than a year later, I think Timex struck gold because there are now more than a dozen different colour variations. They are going after the summertime lady’s jewelry market in 2021. Personally, I am looking at the the MK1 mechanical and a few of the Waterbury chronos. I already have a 38mm Marlin automatic. Cheers.
I do really like it, I even prefer acrylic to mineral crystal but I think the price is just out of the ballpark. Other than the design there is nothing about it that warrants +$200 USD. I’ll wait two years until it comes down to about $85 then... probably
Wouldn’t touch Timex with a barge pole they closed down their factories here in Dundee many years ago and consigned hundreds of workers on the scrap heap. A scab company that used scabs to break the legitimate strike action by workers.
Think Timex might be getting a bit of a reputation for lower end retro/reissue watches at mid-range prices. Not hating on the watches at all but they are not worth the price for me.
You can get an automatic version on the watch shop for 176 pound's at the moment. Nice looking retro.
I'm so in love with mine, I ordered all the other colours. Absolutely wears wonderfully. Affordable drip. :-)
found one for 99$ so ill give it a try… cant wait to see it in person ….. looks like a fun summer watch

No mate, I borrowed this off my mate Jim!
That's cool. Doesn't RE ALLY matter if it was a push out or knot. . . just a coincidence
Great video. Aesthetically this watch is spot on 👍 but I agree that bezel definitely needs to click.
Great review! I love my timexq. Great looking watching!
Thanks 😊
Thanks Dan. Nice looking watch

Hot summer days!.I thought you lived in the UK.
Nice video as usual. Looks like a fun watch.🤺
Lol, wettest May on record so far. So, more time to get in the summer watches "ready" for the season.
Ooh i could go for that auto in green!!!
The resale of these was insane, I feel sorry for the people who bought into the £300 sales.

Thanks bud, made me go and pop mine on.
Me too, I just don't want to scratch it though!
Nice review
Sure is a nice looking watch.
Balls I’ve just bought a Vostok half way through this vid
Not many good things style wise came out from the 70s. This is one of the few exceptions 🙌
Just picked up the Green/Black bezel for £96 on EndClothing, reduced and with another 15% off, bargain!
What a great deal! 👍

Thats so sad to hear, its a shame when those things happen. 😞

Got it for 66 dollars😂
Fad
A little bit, but not too bad.
Fashion watch? I don't think it falls under that category.
Only slightly. Just on the fringes of fashion.
For me this is all about hype over a cheaply made watch. Meh!
